- So I bought this Portable Washing Machine off of Amazon 1 year ago, do I think it's worth the money?
In today's video, I'll give you & y'all my honest review of my Black+Decker BPWM09W portable washing machine. Is it a good choice and would I buy another one, yes I would!!

I actually bought this machine after watching this review.
It is a great washer. It does not use that much water (and yes you have to leave the faucet on) and it does a fantastic job of washing clothes.
The only minuses really are the small compartment size and having to wheel it around.

I've had a Panda PAN6360W Compact Portable Washing Machine, 12lbs Capacity, 1.54 cu.ft since early April this year and it actual cleans my clothes much better than my old Kenmore central column agitator washer did. These portable impeller washers, at least the more reputable brands, are just as good as the current budget-minded full size washers but cost a couple of hundreds of dollars less.

can you wash a duvet with it?
With my washer you can unless it's unusually really large. You have to wash it by itself but my little 1.54 cu ft washer can definitely wash a duvet. I don't know about Mr. Dan's B&D washer but I'd be surprised if it could since it's less than a cubic foot in the drum.
I remember watching this for this first came out a year ago and I can’t believe it’s a year later. It’s crazy how time flies. Great review

Black & Decker makes some pretty dependable stuff. I own several of their products. It was a good idea to wait a while before you do a review on it. Glad to see it's working fine after one year. I would love to see how you plan on grilling those steaks.

yeah no issues putting the water yourself, pretty easy to calculate depending on how much clothes you put in the washer.

So glad I found your channel. I have been needing to get a small portable washing machine. My biggest need is to be able to wash my sheets. At 75 I simply can't ring them out by hand. From your comments I believe this machine would handle one full bed sheet at a time with no issues. Thank youn for doing your followup review.

Why is my Black & Decker 0.9 cubic feet portable washing machine it quit spinning the water will still drain out of it but it won't spin I checked the belt and everything and it's not spinning but it's not broke

Hey Dan! I’m going to finally pull the trigger and hopefully not got a defective unit and get my money’s worth out of this washer! I know it is a must to use strictly cold water however do you think lukewarm or slightly warmer water would suffice as well? I just would feel better doing that with washing towels and sheets. Thank you again for your in depth review it was awesome!

And yes Dan, that's true with Any of the small [portable] don't have the temperature Guage for hot water warping the rubber seals

Can’t find ANY vids on installing the Rodent-pet fur-dirt cover for the floor side of it☹️ and mine seems too wide to weave into the tabs. Plus NO machine side screw hole to guide installation 🤦🏽♀️

Seems like manually filling it with water would be a pain in the butt because you would have to be there at the right moments to add the water at the certain points in the wash cycle to wash and rinse. Having said that, I don't see why you could not add a hose bib to a big enough bucket above the washer and let it gravity feed (like one of those blue plastic 33 gal drums) and just manually fill that "supply" bucket if you had no other choice.
That would be a good washer to use for shop rags and shop clothes!

I just got the B+D 2.0 cu ft. Question, during the wash, does the agitator have 2 different speeds? When I do a normal load, the agitator runs slow, like a spin to the left, pause for a moment, spin to the right, pause. Just before the SPIN cycle, the agitator goes a lot faster, left&right without a pause, but only for less than a minute, I'm wondering if this is normal or if my machine has an issue, because it seems the faster agitation is what is best to clean

I had one of these for a little while when we lived in an apartment with no dedicated hookups. It was the same exact machine, but with different branding (Magic Chef instead of B+D). These really are great little machines. Saved us quite a bit of money and hassle from the shared laundry room that our complex at the time had. Add in a portable dryer, that runs off 110v and vents out the window, and you've got yourself a pretty solid combo for a small and restrictive space.

I am looking to have a portable washer. What to get is up in the air for me but B+D seems to be a popular one. I still don't know what is out there and this is all new to me. Hands down would want my own washer /dryer hookups but will be living in an apartment without its own hookups (most don't). One washer and dryer for eight apartments that are all two bedrooms. Much concern about not being able to wash things when needing to just wash things. Great info Dan. This may be my choice it's a strong contender.

Hello there, i was curious about the water levels inside, what would determine how much water is inside? Is it the number of loads option or the "heavy" "normal" selection. I bought one with the same settings as this one and it doesnt fill all the way so im wondering what the best settings are to get the most water

I'll load my machine down and the drum will not fill to the top either, matter of fact, I've never seen my machine fill water to the top lol!! Dan

Got another question tho. Does this B&D 0.9 have function to just do rinse cycle or just spin cycle only? Just curious if you've tried (I forgot to add softener in rinse cycle so...) cuz I didn't want to "wash" it all over again? Nice little machine so far, just wish the manual had more instructions so I don't have to search all over TH-cam for how I you use this thing! 😂

it's a good washer however I feel it could agitate clothes better & the water sensor could be a lot better by drawing more water into the machine.

Hi, I'm using it manually for now. it does a wash cycle then stops, no water in it but says 22 minutes left. do I need to refill with water so it can rinse clothes?
