    I'm really surprised these multi-button mice aren't mentioned more for non-gaming usages. I have mine programmed for cut, copy, paste, Enter, Undo, Redo and a couple of common shortcuts. It's been life-changing for me.

    I don’t play any MMOs, and I still love this type of mouse. The buttons on the side usually default to the numbers at the top of your keyboard. The buttons being so close together makes it easy to access an item at the end of my hotbar, without having to reach my hand across the keyboard. Not to mention the fact that you can change them to do basically anything, so there’s very little limitation on uses for these mice. Not just MMOs. These are honestly my favorite kind of mouse for any use.

    I wish Naga added two more side buttons, for the ring/pinky fingers so we could activate the Hypershift functionality more easily. It is extremely useful but a little hard to access in Naga mice, compared to other Razer mice which have right-side buttons
    Another great idea would be to have a second Hypershift profile accessible through the software (Standard, Hypershift-1, Hypershift-2) for greater customisation.

    Another thing I think is worth mentioning is the weight of each mouse.
    Without the battery the Hyperspeed is 59g and about 95g with the battery. Ofc you'd only use it with the battery but depending on the battery you use will affect the weight. (lithium vs alka)
    & the V2 Pro is 134g
    So pretty significant weight diff. I got the hyperspeed because I wanted a lot of buttons with a lighter weight and wireless. Though I do hate that it misses out a lot of features the pro has.
    Logitech G600 is still superior to me and I'm hoping they one day release a new wireless version, but till then I swap between G600 & hyperspeed based on what I'm doing.
    & I bought the steelseries aerox 9 thinking it was everything I wanted and it's the worst mouse ever made IMO.

    Razer Naga v2 Pro scroll seems like a deal breaker. Not because it doesn't has free-scroll but because many reviews said the scrolling is not accurate.
    Also, I have been using G700s for years now. I cannot imagine having a limit of 5 profiles and the need to switch them manually each time and the software does not seems to have macros options for keys.

    The original pro and the V2 hyperspeed are the same price, and the hyper scroll was the thing that made me decide to get the hyperspeed. My previous mouse before my current one had it and I loved it and I miss it. I only need six side buttons so the original pro seemed appealing because it has a side plate with only six thumb buttons, but I've been using the 12 button side plate for so long that I am fully accustomed to it and there's no need to move to fewer buttons. I actually have eight of them mapped, but I rarely use the extra two, but they are still nice to have And I might think of something else I want so it makes more sense to just keep using the 12 button configuration.

    In my opinion, the Pro V2 sounds WAY BETTER than the Hyperspeed V2. My only complain about it is that it lacks those two extra side buttons near the left click button that the other mouse has
    Personally, the ability to customise the feeling of the scroll wheel is way more important than the free-scroll. I have a free-scrolling mouse and I don’t really need it. Like, yeah, sometimes it can save you a lot of time when scrolling through websites and long documents, but most of the times you don’t want to go that fast. On the other hand, the physical sensation of the scroll wheel is really important to me. It might be because I have very sensitive touch, but the way it feels can either make me very uncomfortable or very joyful.
    Some scroll wheels are painful after a while

      I have seen a lot of reviews state that none of the settings for the pro v2 feel "correct" and that even at standard setting you can't get the page to scroll down with each tick... also it is just another thing to malfunction as well. the pro v2 does have the 2 buttons that the hyperspeed has just located below the scroll wheel. I ordered the hyperspeed. the 100 dollars cheaper makes me feel it is worth a try. I have had a naga pro for 2 years and literally never swap sides. I just use a different mouse entire for shooter. the naga is too clunky and bulky.

    • @MikhailMaydanyuk
      @MikhailMaydanyuk ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It's a good question.
      I have Razer Naga v2 Hyperspeed and Razer Naga Trinity Pro (not v2). The second one has onboard memory to store macros (e.g. entering a sophisticated password you can't remember (don't do this 😉). The first one has not.
      If I turn off Razer Synapse then Trinity continue to work with all saved macros and rebinds. It's not the case for Hyperspeed. All rebinds reseted to factory defaults.
      Hyperspeed demonstrates the same behaviour when connected to another device.
      So it seems I need Razer Synapse logged in and it's cloud sync active on both devices to have multiple profiles for my Razer Naga v2 Hyperspeed.

    • @Duzteh
      @Duzteh ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I actually own the hyperspeed naga and you can save settings to it, but only on the default profile as there isn't multiple profiles. After setting up the mouse in Synapse the settings stay the same after uninstalling synapse.

    Getting free scroll on mouses is like going from a hdd to an ssd the first time I got a g502 and used it I couldn't go back. Also the two extra buttons are amazing for navigating the party member list as a healer. I think the hyperspeed is the best for mmos because of the free scroll for scrolling through text or zooming out really quickly to see raid mechanics if your camera wasn't for some reason. The Naga V2 Pro is nice, but when it comes to mmos hyperspeed is a great mouse for raiding and navigating a party member list, and when I play fps games I don't use a mmo mouse anyways because they are to heavy. I prefer heavy mouses for mmos, but lighter/mid weight mouses for fps games etc as I only usually require the two buttons on the side.

    Unfortunately free scroll is so ingrained into my muscle memory that I can't use mice without it anymore, it's just too convenient/useful for me. And too many games don't support the Windows middle-click software scroll or Page Up/Down inputs so those aren't proper alternatives either. The two extra buttons are great for healers who want the same functions as controller users on ffxiv which is to scroll through the party list without having to click them physically especially useful when trying to do alliance raids and clicking alliance members to raise them it allows a snappy transition between clicking alliance members and up and down arrows for the main party. Also free scroll is a huge thing for me be it scrolling through walls of text in the chat box or scrolling to view ingame achievements and it's also extremely helpful for me when reading articles online. Ever since the g502 I cannot go back to a mouse without free scroll I hate the feeling of it clicking when I scroll.

    • @Malinkadink
      @Malinkadink ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It lasts longer than the rechargeable battery and you dont need to wait for it to charge if you forget to charge the other one. After two years of heavy use rechargeable batteries die a lot faster where the other mouse will never have that issue, I think its fine. Just wish the hpyerspeed also had the optical switches, cant trust mechanical ones anymore seems all too often they dont register a click or double click, or if you have click held down it acts like you released it.

    Anyone managed to utilize the supposed single onboard profile for the v2 hyperspeed? There is no onboard profile button at all, and all bindings return to default the moment synapse is closed. Specifically navigate back and forward on wheel tillt (named mouse 4 and 5 in synapse) and thumb buttons remapped to numpad. None of these say they require synapse (other things do).

    • @villentretheimert7789

      I recently bought this mouse (actually yesterday xD) and generally there's no button for saving in on-board memory. BUT, i havent added new profiles, used the one synapse made, and when i saved all my bindings, everything was on mice. I checked by killing all razer processes, and all macros did work (maybe not ones that are flagged that they will not be saved on memory and u need synapse for them to work). Maybe u should reinstall synapse, reset mice and try my approach. For me also lack of on-board memory is deal-breaker thats why i made sure this one have memory for profiles, and one profile with hypershift is plenty to have all gaming and work macros
      There's possibility that using only 1 macro which cannot be saved on on-board memory is ruining this memory, today ill make some tests with my work laptop to make sure its saved
      Edit: i have macro on mouse and everything works great on other computer without Synapse software (excluding this one recorded macro ofc), it works on both dongle and BT

    I used to have a Naga Chroma, sadly had the side buttons give up on me, sooo got it RMA'd and got a Trinity back from Razer. Sadly, the left and right mouse button started to get double click issues, but right after the warranty went brrrr. Was hoping there was gonna be a budget wireless Naga coming any time soon, but without the switchable side plates, since my Trinity also had a lot of connectivity issues, and I don't feel like trying that again. Doesn't seem like Razer is up to doing that though, since 110 bucks isn't even close to the 70 bucks that I paid back in 2016, just for a wireless version of it, without the lights. Heck no :I

    • @arstulex
      @arstulex ปีที่แล้ว

      The optical switches have a MUCH greater lifetime and have pretty much eliminated the 'double click' issue.
      As far as side plate connectivity goes, it's just a matter of cleaning the contacts every so often. Maybe once every few months I will have some connectivity issues, which are instantly fixed by cleaning the contacts on the mouse and side plate, after whiich it will work flawlessly for another few months.

      A very good way to over come it is to just create a macro to your desired key, which does 2 commands: 1) middle click, 2) right arrow key (for right-side scrolling) and vice versa for left. This is the only way i seem to have gotten around this.

    I'd say the balance is yet again gone, I have bought razer naga mice since 2014 when my Mad Cats mouse gave out. The 3 naga mice I have bought never were more than 90 euro/dollar and they are not wireless.. I think it is a stupid thing to get rid of the rgb in the hyperspeed, and don't give all the other options to the mouse that the pro have, and put like 90 dollars on top of the price for the pro. that is double the price for a naga then it used to be. Don't tell me bluetooth is THAT expensive. Still I have never use the other switchable knobs other than the 12 knob one. If they would not be so utterly foolish and sell the mouse with 3 of them and ask a insane amount of money for it, maybe they could offer it for a reasonable price!!

    Kind of madge, the v2 hyperspeed is significantly better for MMOs because of the placement of those 1 extra buttons. But I would of preffered a rechargeable one.

      Replaceable batteries is by far best option for mouse. You just go buy eneloop with a charger and swap them once a month if not two. And when it dies what occurs way too later than with any internal battery you just get it out of order and place a new one instead of searching chinese sites who sell you that specific designed battery which razer loves too much

      In what world would you use 4k polling rate on an MMO? Even if you play shooters, you'd be insane to use either one of these as they are > 120grams. Also, are you running at least a 240hz monitor and getting 240 frames in an mmo/fps to take advantage of 4k polling rate that already sees small benefits at the detriment of Batter Life?

    You have to remember that you don't really need to manually change profiles, because razer synapse can detect what game you are playing and change the profile accordingly, also reducing the amount of buttons on the side doesn't make it better for fps, it just removes functionality. Saying that the v2 hyperspeed is only good for MMO gamers on a budget is so wrong when you think about the fact that the v2 hyperspeed is so much cheaper and the only things you are losing are a stupid gimmick that just takes away buttons and some better switches.
