    Would you use swappable side panels on a mouse - or would you just pick one and stick with it?

    • @dominicmoass8478

      just need a basic two side button layout tbh!

      I've been using the Naga series mice since the original and currently use the Naga Pro V1. Once I got used to using the 12 side buttons I can't go back. They're great for assigning macros for productivity, or assigning abilities for gaming. I rely on them so much that I have one at home and one at the office.

    • @saharshlomo6408

      Stick with 12 buttons layout.

      I'd definitely use the varying panels.
      FPS, I want full grip of the mouse, and don't need all the buttons.
      But in MOBAS, I need a handful more than the two.
      I don't play MMOs really, but I can still see myself setting up the massive key panel for macros.

    You're right about the old habits, I've had a 12 button naga since I was 10, cannot live without it. It comes in handy for work a lot too since you can use it as a numpad.

      I've been using them for many years now, and I struggle to go back. Whether it's gaming (regardless of genre), or productivity, it's been a huge upgrade. You just need to get used to it.

    I've been using the 6 button side panel for Escape from Tarkov so that I don't have to stretch my hand on the keyboard away from other keys. It has been really great. I don't think I could use the 12 button panel unless I'm playing Starcraft or Wow or something. I'm also going to test out this mouse for Runescape pking to switch between prayer tab, food tab, and special attack.
    I really appreciate your review video and the time/effort you put forth onto this for all of us. I subbed and liked the video man. Keep making these videos!

      I've always used the Logitech G604 for Tarkov and all my gaming but they discontinued it. this is the only other mouse with 6 side buttons. It's sad that it's almost triple the price as I always got the g604 for $50 bucks on sale.

      @@SpregioCheeks I have a G604 from 2020 and it's still working well. I love it for games like Ready or Not, I wish the hyperspeed v2 had a 6 button side panel.

    I have this same mouse and as a heads up, for the blue tooth mode the mouse does have a delayed or laggy response while using the side buttons. When using the side buttons, it will take a few seconds to get the input of the number macros or you'll need to hold the number buttons down for a while in order to get a response. Wired is best for serious gaming and the 2.4 wireless mode is the next best mode. I use this mouse for both my gaming PC and gaming laptop since it is a quality of life upgrade for me. I leave it charging the on the wireless dock on my desk and toss it into my bag whenever I leave with my laptop. When I use it with my PC I will always use wired, but on my laptop I may switch between the 2.1 wireless mode and wired mode since I keep an extra cable in my bag. It is by far my favorite MMO mouse, just beware of blue tooth mode unless you intend to use it casually.
    This mouse fits in my hand perfectly as I am 6'2" and the weight is no issue for me since I like the heft. I'm basically an athletic gamer so it is fine with me. I used to run the original Naga pro and it felt like double the weight compared to this new one. The reason I am using this new Naga V2 Pro is because my Corsair scimitar scroll wheel crapped out on me and they never made any improvements to their MMOS mouses. As far as MMO mouse gaming, I have been using a 12 button side panel mouse for roughly 13 years and its made it easier for me to play competitively in end game raids and ranked PvP. I have an average of 5k hours or more in the following MMOS, World or Warcraft, Star Wars the Old Republic, and Guild Wars 2 as reference to my gaming history and MMO frequency.
    As a side note I use the 12 button side panel only.

    Thank you so much for saving me £240, i had ordered this to replace my Hyperspeed V2 naga but a few hours ago, under the impression the Pro Dock would enable 4k polling, your review was able to give clarity that it does not meansing my Hyperspeed v2 is technically better in the polling aspect. excellent video!! saved me expensive downgrade

    Bought it and wanted to buy a replacement of the 12-button side panel, for when the buttons inevitably stop responding. There is no way to get replacement panels, they are sold out on AliExpress/ebay, and Razer does not offer them.

    Razer Naga is my favorite professional tool as a programmer... I have bound the most essential parts of the right side of my keyboard to the mouse... Like: [Enter, Backspace, Arrows keys, End, Home, ", . -" and P]. I reduced how many times i reach back and forth from my keyboard by like 70%. I only use the keyboard when I am actually typing sentences.
    As a hardcore Naga user for 10 years i have to say this: I tried pro before, and honestly... it will break. The only reason I like pro is the Wireless bit... but i ended up using Wireless with cable because I am not a person who like to think about battery charging.
    And this thing is so expensive... Also having this mouse dock... 200$ and then you have to pay for a dock? Honestly, this dock bothers me more than a cable... Its a dock with a cable, it takes more space than just having the cable going all the way... so... yeah. The cheaper Razer Naga has a lot greater value proposition. Razer mouses break, and paying a lot for a Razer mouse dont make it break slower.

    The v1 side buttons are amazing, and it sounds like v2 is no exception. It’s like a hybrid between the mushy feel of a membrane button with the tactile feedback of a mechanical switch. I’ve popped more than a few abilities off by accident in Dota cause I just needed to click it 😂

  • @taherpartapuri2484

    My g604 which i love more than anything is facing double click issues. And it's really hard to disassemble to replace the switches. So now I'm considering if i should try and repair it or switch to this razer mouse.

  • @MoonGuy7070

    Can double clicks happen if you hold a mouse switch down while dragging the mouse? Because my Naga trinity mouse had this problem after while and my new naga v2 hyperspeed also does have this problem, but very rarely, is that normal for mechanical mices? Again, I'm talking about dragging the mouse while holding the button and not pressing it once and getting double clicks because that never really was a problem for me

  • @ericandruszko7563
    @ericandruszko7563 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is the mouse usable without ever downloading Synapse? Without the puck, do you charge it via USB-C?
    And I assume the battery is internally installed? I saw some written reviews that (probably erroneously) said the mouse uses AA batteries, and requires Synapse to be used with your PC, meaning you can't exactly take it on the go worry free.

    • @NyteStalker89
      @NyteStalker89 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The old naga, and I mean like first gen wireless naga was AA. Razer hasn’t used those in their premium mice in ages. The mouse charges via usb c. You can buy just the puck for $20 and use any non Apple wireless charger to charge it.

  • @Noodles.FreeUkraine
    @Noodles.FreeUkraine ปีที่แล้ว

    Is it just as narrow as the Naga Trinity? That one gave me some bad wrist pain after using it for a few months. Went away shortly after switching to an MX Master due to the much higher profile. Granted, that'll depend on your personal anatomy and grip style, but I'd certainly love to get a Naga that's the size of an MX Master. Too bad they dropped the circle buttons this time around, though.

    If that pinky rest were a button (to use for button shift) this mouse would be perfect. As it is, I still can't move away from the Logitech which does have that button, as much as I would like to.

  • @madness1931

    I'm in the market to replace my current mouse. It's an older wired 21 key (MMO style) mouse. I'm tempted to jump on this, but that price is putting me off. I've seen the original Naga Pro for £95, in the past, and it can currently be found for £130. Is the price increase worth it?

      The wheel's tension and detents being adjustable makes me think there's actually a stepper motor in there.

    the problem with this as wel as many other Reviews , is that everone comes up with talking about RGB lighting and how many butt a mouse has , instead of talking about how consistent and accurate the mouse sensor is and works ( which is the most important part in gaming ) . LoL !!! you could buy a mouse with 100000 diff lights and buttons but non of this has any effect on mouse performance in gaming .
