I'm going to make some dry powdered from my reishi and chaga dual extracts for my fur babies. Wild reishi and chaga I source myself ( foraged). My late husky did well on chaga for her seizures.
I harvest my own Reishi and Turkey tail mushrooms in the wild behind my home and make double extracted tincture from both of them. I take them both daily in my Chaga tea that I also make and harvest. So my question is, would I add the tincture to my dogs daily meals or is there a better way to give them the mushrooms? I do give them, both the tinctures and some chaga tea daily now but want to make sure that I give them the proper amount and the best way for them to get the full benefit from them. I do feed raw
That's very interesting about the mycelium versus mushroom content. Thank you for that valuable info! I forage my own turkey tail, that's always best if it's possible
So what, exactly, did she say? Did she say mycelium is actually bad or ineffective or just that it is different from the actual mushroom? She really didn't say much...a lot of words, no value
We need name brands of several places to purchase like Red rover products and ? We need answers and Im not understanding what your actuality trying to explain. Please tell us to try this brand or that brand due to the high beta sources.
Hi, would be kind enough to recommend any good brands that are high in beta glucan? And if that brand is mean for dog, is it safe for human consume as well? Appreciate your reply. Thanks
I was looking for the best mushrooms for my dog with inoperable pheochromocytoma. Her oncologist recommended a brand. I buy other Four Leaf Rover supplements so I looked for mushroom information there because I couldn't get much from the other brand's website. When I asked them about the beta glucans content of their product, they replied: "Polysaccharide peptide (PSP) is a protein-bound polysaccharide extracted from the Coriolus versicolor mushroom, the most well researched medicinal mushroom. It is the active ingredient of (our brand). (Our brand) contains 400mg per capsule. Each capsule contains 38% or more of Polysaccharide and 11.5% or more of Peptide." I felt like they were avoiding my question and so ordered mushrooms from Four Leaf Rover. Does this response answer my question at all; maybe in a way that I just don't understand? Thank you!
We really like Four Leaf Rover's Turkey Tail and Immunity mushrooms! Below is an article that goes a bit more in-depth about mushrooms and how you should choose them! www.dogsnaturallymagazine.com/medicinal-mushrooms-for-cancer-in-dogs/
Ok so, being the Four Leaf Rover brand of Turkey Tail Mushroom I've been diving my dog for over a year 'is' light in color and somewhat sweet smelling... I should now believe it's NOT the preferred brand I need to use to help with my dogs Hemangiosarcoma and... this brand does not contain the beta-glucan rich content of the fruiting body. Reply please?
Every jar of our turkey tail has a COA with the amount of beta-glucans in it and our turkey tail averages bout 45%. Turkey tail is always light in color whereas other mushrooms like reishi are really dark and bitter. So that's a really good question! And the answer always is, ask for a certificate of analysis that shows the beta-glucan content. :)
So Hoat Defense is the brand veterinary oncologists all recommend, and it states clearly on its label that it is from mycelium. So im not sure who to believe...
@@trishf2184 I ended up buying the Nutraceuticals brand because they are 100% made from the fruity body, not the stems or roots. I'm very pleased with the quality.
Hey there! Turkey Tail is highly recommended for many types of cancers for support. There are no warnings about using it alongside medications, it would be best to check with your vet to be safe :)
@@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM is that 3 to 4 tsp or 3 quarters of a tsp? Just making sure. We might write it differently in uk. I have a product i purchased for myself called Organic Mushroom Blend - A blend of Seven Mushrooms - Reishi, Chaga, Shiitake, Maitake, Lion's Mane, Cordyceps and Tremella.

That's great! Double extraction is important. Add them daily and I would give all three for sure.
How much of turkey tail and lion's mane should my dog get is she's 12 kg?

do we need to cook/heat the mushroom powders before feeding them to our dogs?
You don't need to heat the powders. You would just need to cook raw mushrooms!
Could turkey tail help my dog with stage 4 lymphoma? Also will be ok to take alongside prednisone?
