We lost our Siberian Husky in 2016 to cancer and I wish I would have known these things back then. I love watching your videos and your beautiful furbabies. Thank you for sharing!
I'm so sorry to hear that! There's so much information out there, it's tough to find the time to filter out what helps and what doesn't. This channel is all about what's worked best for us, and our Kibble to Raw course has everything a dog parent needs to give any dog a healthy raw diet. Now you have an arsenal for your next furbaby, and we're glad to help in any way we can!
Actually, this is just what I needed. There’s so many supplements out there, it can be overwhelming what to give our dogs. Thanks for a very clear and to the point video. Definitely checking out your blog! Really digging your sister channel Doggo life!
Oh that’s wonderful!! 🥰 we love reading this and knowing our new channel is helpful 🤩 The blog goes a bit deeper to help you decide which supplements are right for your dog 🐕
My fiancé adopted a Dalmatian pup last week & we already have a 1.5yr old mini doodle. Our doodle has been on Acana kibble (fish flavor) but we have been wanting to cook homemade meals. Now having a Dalmatian who needs a very specific low purine diet we have switched to a homemade diet but trying to make sure we have all of the supplements a pup needs. The food itself is ground turkey, sweet potatoes, carrots, blueberries, eggs, powdered egg shells for calcium, kale, a small amount of brown rice, coconut oil & pumpkin. Any advice on what else we should be adding. I’ve ordered omega 3 & am watching this video to add vitamins etc to the list! We have only had the pup for a week & are wanting to start the transitioning process to fresh food ❤
So excited to read your fiancé adopted and growing the family. Wow! we used to feed Acana Freshwater kibble until our Kimahri was diagnosed with cancer and our other 2 began having a lot of skin and allergic issues. That's when we quit kibble forever. We healed our Kimahri from cancer through raw food and holistic care in 28 days. That was in early 2018, and she's healthy and happy today at 13 years young. Like I mention in this video, supplements are there to provide extra benefit, but the foundation of health is the diet itself, doing it correctly to avoid mistakes (like feeding rice) is most important. A lot of well meaning dog parents try to wing feeding home made food, only to end up with deficiencies and allergies. You can either consult with a holistic veterinarian how to feed raw, or you can also take the Kibble to Raw course to help you make the transition for both of your pups. It also includes a gentle 15 week transition meal plan to make sure everything goes well and easy. This course teaches you how to transition any breed, age, and life-stage. You can read all about it here, including testimonials from dog parents like you: www.huskysquad.com/sp/ktr-1-eg-welcome/

ACL injuries/tears can be caused by a manganese deficiency. Manganese is deficient in most home cooked and home prepared raw diets if not supplements. Best source is canned mussels/canned oysters and dried oysters. It can also be added as a human grade, powdered or tablet supplement but do a lot of research to determine amount to give to your size dog. Your story about your dog being cured of cancer and getting nutritional treatment from a holistic vet is interesting. I know of several dogs that had serious cancer but then went on to live for a number of healthy years on the diet and supplements prescribed by a holistic vet.

Hello Evelyn, unfortunately Kibble will keep building tartar which eventually leads to dental disease. Your best option to heal, reduce, and prevent tartar build up is to switch to a natural raw food diet. We give you all the guidnce you need to make this a successful transition for you and your beloved dog. Watch the video on this page and learn more: www.huskysquad.com/kibble-to-raw/

I love dr Dobias supplements however for one 50 lb dog it would cost $60 for just the probiotic Gut Sense for 30 days supply. Then add cost of the other 3 supplements making it unaffordable long term for most people. It is ver high quality but unaffordable.
What a valid point, Gisela! I understand your concern. Because of the high quality, you actually give a lot less in amounts than you’d give from other brands that are packed with fillers and very little value in a dose. Here are my recommendations based on what we do: 1️⃣ We place bulk orders, over 4 products at the time, and this is how you get a discount when you buy at least 3 (or 4) products per order I believe. I never pay full price and their shelf life is good. 2️⃣ are you already feeding your dog raw? We feed 💯% raw and we make it affordable too (you can learn how to do this in our Kibble to Raw Course ( www.huskysquad.com/kibble-to-raw/ ) and therefore i tend to rotate supplements and not give them all supplements every day. The only one that’s required daily is the omegas (like I mentioned in this video) essentially, I probably only give 7-10 days out of the month this capsule probiotic because I rotate other supplements in out of their menu. We actually teach all of this in our course too. I really don’t like giving 100 things into each meal, if you know what I mean 😀 Also, a raw diet, with the right supplements over time will save you a lot of money long term. We hardly ever go to the vet (unless it’s an emergency) and our pups don’t take any medication either. Long term, you avoid disease, and so may other costly health problems. I hope this helps give a better explanation 😀
@@DoggoLife yes I feed raw! I would like to know how to make it economically. I have been buying grinds and adding to it but most are using HPP (high pressure processing) now so I am scrambling to find those that do not. What do u think about HPP? I have always fed raw so I did not consider your course although I wish there was a portion I could watch to get your recipes and watch your tips and shortcuts. I love everything HuskySquad and use your recommendations. Thank you V!
@@gisela1074 in so glad you feed raw already! That’s so wonderful ❤️ we try to stay away for HPP and I believe Small Batch doesn’t do HPP. By now we make the Squad most of the food on our own, and it’s easy and so affordable! We love it ❤️ We actually teach all of this in the course and so much more. It’s designed to cover so many deeper subjects on feeding raw, and therefore it can’t just be split into a meal plan. We have a number of members who took the course even though they already feed raw. It gives a much deeper understanding to feed based on your individual dogs needs. When it comes to supplements, based on holistic vets - a high quality, healthy omega 3 oil MUST be given every day. It’s absolutely critical for the well-being of our dogs ❤️🙏
Are you feeding vegetables raw? From what I understand they should be either fermented or at least steamed, as canids wouldnt eat raw plant matter in the wild, but rather the contents of a prey animals stomach (fermented/pre-digested) Maybe specific probiotics allow you to feed raw veg?
Have you all ever heard of zinc malabsorption in artic dogs? I’m struggling with my 3 year old husky. I really want to switch her over to a raw diet, but I’m so nervous about doing something wrong. Having to give her zinc supplements right now. Just not sure of what’s best.
Michelle - absolutely! Our Yuna suffered from extreme ZRD for many years, and nothing helped her. We did zinc supplements too, but it kept coming back. About 9 months into feeding her raw like we teach in the Kibble to Raw course, it completely disappeared and has not come back since. She's been raw for over 4 years now. You can enroll here and learn how to feed your husky a properly balanced diet: www.huskysquad.com/kibble-to-raw/
I believe my dog has cancer I'm not for sure but he has lump I haven't took him to a vet because I haven't found one that I'm comfortable with that actually care about my pup health more than the money how do I do the Tumeric and coconut treatment please help me thank you
Humans take supplements for three months and the fourth month they discontinue is it the same with dogs? For how long for instance a joint supplement should be given?
Thanks for the kind words. There are many options (price wise) and I promise it's not time consuming. It's definitely just a little more work than feeding kibble, but way easier and quicker than preparing yourself a meal! Did you see our blog about this subject? www.huskysquad.com/best-supplements-for-dogs/
Can just get the “Soul food” multivitamin and the “ LiverTune” ? And make the golden paste and feed bones instead of the bone broth? It that okay and it will be balanced?
IMO its hit and miss if you havent already tried honestly what works for one dog may not necessarily work for another. My boy cycles a concoction of sorts like what your asking and has definitely made improvements, in other words trial and error process which is pretty much what most doctors and vets do anyway. By closely monitoring one supplement at a time and seeing what was beneficial i kept some and exempted others. Also made adjustments to food water intake because sometimes well shoot either too high or too low depending on activity level. Hope that makes some sense.
A balanced meal is not dependent on supplements, balance is your foundational components. Liver tune is not to be taken every day. It’s a periodic cleanse. To learn how to feed a balanced diet to your dog, including following our gentle 15 week transition meal plan, enroll in the Kibble to Raw course here: www.huskysquad.com/sp/kibble-to-raw/ref/ytdl
Yes you can, however - many pre-made raw brands come with supplements included (not all of them great or high quality) - so definitely be careful with over supplementing.
I can understand that. It's pretty common actually. This is why we have a dedicated chapter for Picky eaters in our Kibble to Raw course www.huskysquad.com/sp/kibble-to-raw/

The food should be the supplement. NO!! Every supplement is in the vegetable or fruit. Yes lots of Meat, organs, change them up, and you'll get different amounts of vitamins. I feel that real food is the only supplement needed. Just know what they can and can't eat for your animals.

Your best option to heal, reduce, and prevent tartar build up is to switch to a natural raw food diet. We give you all the guidnce you need to make this a successful transition for you and your beloved dog. Watch the video on this page and learn more: www.huskysquad.com/kibble-to-raw/

Can all these supplements be given to a 7month old GSD ? Please let me know as I’m wanting to do this with both my 7 month old and my 4 year old
How do you make your golden paste?
You can download the recipe in this blog: www.huskysquad.com/best-supplements-for-dogs/
and here's the video! th-cam.com/video/fpwRmFDWe20/w-d-xo.html
Here are my recommendations based on what we do:
1️⃣ We place bulk orders, over 4 products at the time, and this is how you get a discount when you buy at least 3 (or 4) products per order I believe.
From what I understand they should be either fermented or at least steamed, as canids wouldnt eat raw plant matter in the wild, but rather the contents of a prey animals stomach (fermented/pre-digested)
Maybe specific probiotics allow you to feed raw veg?
Can you do a video about the liver cleanse
noted! :)
Where did you have special braces made for your dog tidus’s legs? I would like to do that for my dog too
all the details are her, Victoria: www.huskysquad.com/dog-acl-recovery-without-surgery/
I believe my dog has cancer I'm not for sure but he has lump I haven't took him to a vet because I haven't found one that I'm comfortable with that actually care about my pup health more than the money how do I do the Tumeric and coconut treatment please help me thank you
Dogs get lumps when they get old. Usually just a fat deposit. Don’t let the vet trick you into spending a lot of money to get it removed with surgery.
Humans take supplements for three months and the fourth month they discontinue is it the same with dogs? For how long for instance a joint supplement should be given?
Good advice, but so expensive and time consuming.
I subscribed.
Can the golden paste be canned as well? I want to make a batch and be able to store it long-term.
I've never actually canned it. I make it fresh every couple of weeks :)
Would this be okay for French bulldogs
of course!
Which link for the golden paste??
To learn how to feed a balanced diet to your dog, including following our gentle 15 week transition meal plan, enroll in the Kibble to Raw course here: www.huskysquad.com/sp/kibble-to-raw/ref/ytdl
could i give these supplements to a dog who eats a raw food but its not homeade?
Yes you can, however - many pre-made raw brands come with supplements included (not all of them great or high quality) - so definitely be careful with over supplementing.
these are all great if you can get your dog to eat it. i have the most picky eater! it makes balancing her meals and supplementing so very hard!
I can understand that. It's pretty common actually. This is why we have a dedicated chapter for Picky eaters in our Kibble to Raw course www.huskysquad.com/sp/kibble-to-raw/
@@DoggoLife i will look into that, she has been on raw since she was 8 weeks old. she is just really picjky.

not at all, it's for all breeds.
What are your thoughts on chlorella to detox
How much to give and how often if it is safe for them
I may do a video about it in the future. It can have its benefits and purpose. My go to detox is definitely the liver cleanse 💛
Thank you so much for your insightful videos..I really have trust in you because I can see you absolutely adore your babies as much as I do mine
Do you have a video on natural flea/tick/heartworm preventions?
Not yet! We'll have to film one! :)
@@DoggoLife yes please do it !!
Don’t play with that, please keep dogs on flea and tick medicine! Do everything else but the flea. Nothing like drugs to keep those nasty bugs away. Specially heart worm 🪱 medication it’s truly essential.
I feed them raw diet and give them supplements but I do have them on flea medicine. Absolutely essential!
@@fabianhernandez5825 I use natural products I don’t want to put toxins in him 🥺 especially because my pst dog had adverse reactions & was told that they are all neurotoxins I use a natural product and so far so good
Where is the golden paste recipe?
My puppy is overly excitable and constantly bites. I want to get a calming supplement for her so she can calm down. She dislikes being hugged or petted. I'm starting to feel disconnected from this husky puppy. I'm feeding her VICTOR Classic Hi-Pro Plus Formula Dry Dog Food

Very nice
Thank you
Do u give your pups all the supplements you mentioned everyday with your dog’s meals?
great question - not every day. We rotate. I teach all about it in our course: www.huskysquad.com/sp/kibble-to-raw/
dangggg the pup ate a toad lol wow
haha! yep, typical Tidus though!
My pugchy my silver lab and shepsky love love love eating their raw meat I feed them rabbit I get mine from a local dog food company. All raw. They are so healthy and so happy.. I just add some supplements to supplement missing vitamins and minerals like chondrotin and other stuff. And they are just so happy and healthy! Even the little chihuahua loves her raw meat.
we LOVE reading this! :) Nothing like real food and Rabbit is a great protein source!
Do you know of an organic multivitamin supplement that has most of these supplements included?
It's nearly impossible to include all supplements in one, and it would not be a good idea to bunch them all together anyways. They all have different purposes. You can read more here: www.huskysquad.com/best-supplements-for-dogs/
Oye mami. Does the raw meat have to be organic
If you’re health conscious for your dog, then I’d say get organic whenever possible. Ok mira, like I always say, if it’s organic, you won’t have to panic.

Yes! Great video for newbies. I have used Dr Peter Dobias supplements about 3.5 years, I make my girl homemade bone broth, green lipped muscle to also help with joint health.
ah you're an amazing Mama Wolf to your girl! :)
The food should be the supplement. NO!! Every supplement is in the vegetable or fruit. Yes lots of Meat, organs, change them up, and you'll get different amounts of vitamins. I feel that real food is the only supplement needed. Just know what they can and can't eat for your animals.
I'm sorry you got the exorcist voice in the background pass.
what?? it's radio interference. It can happen with electronics. Your imagination is WILD
