    This was great! I recently won a Paperwhite through an Instagram giveaway and I’m absolutely loving it! I’d been reading all my ebooks on my phone and now I feel very spoiled. 🤣 My eyes appreciate the softer screen as well. 😁 Thanks for sharing!

      Its just the Oasis battery. Its a small capaciter. I can usually get 6 to 8 hrs a day of reading in a day, everyday for 9 days before charging. I charge once i hit 20%, so itd probably last a day or two more to 0%. It charges super fast though, usually within 30mins. Once every 9 days isnt too bad, esp as i have to charge my phone 3xs a day now. But its not like the other kindles and for being so expensive and their premium device youd think they wouldnt make it micro usb. Honestly most oasis users want better battery and usbc and we are good

    • @CriminOllyBlog
      @CriminOllyBlog  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think there are 2 reasons. Firstly many people (me included) find Kindles better to read on - they’re generally lighter and more comfortable to hold than a tablet with a similar screen size and E-ink screens are gentler on the eyes.
      Secondly I think many people like the fact that kindles (vs phones or tablets) are distraction free, so it’s easier to focus on the book.
      That said, I do have the kindle app on my phone and iPad and I use it on both - for reading on my phone if I’m out and about, for indexing and sorting books on my iPad and for reading comics or books with a lot of illustrations.
