I ordered one for myself, I normally love reading a physical book but I was running out of space. I love the size of the kindle , I can put it in my purse, its so easy to travel with and I have absolutely loved it. I love it so much I have ordered one for my Dad for Fathers Day :)
I've had the Paperwhite standard 8g for about a month now, it is my first kindle and to be honest I love it. I do have bad eyesight and I can adjust the lighting or change it to black background and I can read anytime anywhere. The battery life well to be honest in a month I have charged it one time when I first got it. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to try kindles. Also Faiz great video, you hit a lot of points that mattered to me when I first researched the kindles.
i love my 2020 oasis too much to upgrade, i cant let go of the buttons but i am glad to see big improvements for the paperwhite for more budget-friendly options
First time viewer here. You have a great basic review and I will consider buying one if my one concern is satisfied. I am an avid reader and take my old Kindle everywhere. My concern is with text to speech (tts). My ancient D00901 has a very easy to use tts I can activate with one button and the cursor/enter thing. (I also like the fact that it does NOT have a touch screen, but I’m not unreasonable and recognize that any newer device will have a touch screen.) My 10th generation paperwhite, however: a) doesn’t have an external speaker, only Bluetooth headphone capability (headphones hurt my ears, so I avoid them when possible). This makes me unhappy, but isn’t a dealbreaker. b) put their tts under the device’s accessibility feature with no way to access it without activating screen navigation which I do not need and absolutely hate. This IS a dealbreaker for me. The voice navigation is slow and confusing to use. Please tell me they have improved this horrible kludge in 2021…? I love my D00901, but it won’t last forever. I won’t buy another paperwhite unless it has an easy to use tts ability uncoupled from the voice navigation. Think of how tts was implemented on Kindle Fire - it is available under menus from inside each book, along with speed and choice of voice (male/female) and regional accents (UK/ Australian/ US for English). I would love a video showing the tts: how to activate and use it.
Got the kindle se last week and I am very happy with it. Upgraded from the previous gen paperwhite. All of the upgrades make it an even better reading experience for me although I really don’t care about the wireless charging. It’s nice to have I guess.
I hung on to my 2016 Oasis for a long time, hoping that it would get an update that would be worth paying another $270+ for (remember there was supposed to be a solar charging cover for it?). That upgrade never happened - there wasn't enough in the Oasis refreshes to tempt me. As much as I love the physical page buttons, I wasn't a fan of the low battery warnings when only one of the batteries was getting low (I had the charging cover). I also wasn't a fan of the micro USB as it was always so fiddly to insert the plug. The new Paperwhite Signature ticks the upgrade boxes for me. It's fast, looks great and has good charging flexibility (plugging in USB-C is super-easy in comparison to micro USB).
I just did the same thing and upgraded my original Oasis to the new Signature Edition Paperwhite. Hoping I don’t miss the small (and light) size and the buttons!
I just ordered this paper white last night. I’ve been debating back and forth for a year. I’ve never owned a kindle so this is my first. I kept hoping they would bring out a new oasis. But this is better than the current oasis. I bought a package with the paper white, leather cover and charger. Hoping I like it. I read on my iPhone. I was also looking at the new iPad mini. I have the first generation and loved it fur reading and everything else. But I hear kindle is better on the eyes. So we shall see.
I've had my paperwhite signature for a week now and I've read for at least an hour each day. The battery currently stands at 83%. Got to be happy with that. I also got the (Anker) wireless charger which looks like a small bookstand so there are no issues with getting the kindle in the right spot to charge.
Fantastic Video, love the fact you get straight to the facts with no nonsense review. Literally no waffling, just a pure and simple amazing review. Keep up the hard work!
Looking forward to new 2021 Signature paperwhite Kindle. Just a passing not on the Kindle Oasis. I thought the Kindle Oasis was total junk and traded it in on a 2018 Kindle Paperwhite. Thanks
I actually just upgraded from the Oasis to the newer paperwhite 11th gen. The oasis was nice but I had lots of battery issues later on. So the part about the battery life is very true. Although I did like the physical buttons for turning the page, if Amazon could make better adjustments to the next oasis it would be nice. The paperwhite I’m so glad I went for because the battery life is way more better. It feels much more comfortable in the hands. I just need to get a popsocket because it will help.
Thanks for the update. I think I’m getting one for my bday! I have the lazy paper white and am can’t wait to get this one! My school books are bogging down my current Kindle.
I want a signature edition but still love my Kindle Oasis. I'm holding out hope there will be an Oasis update - better charging, better battery and I HOPE color. I wish Amazon would say if the Oasis is dead or if it'll be getting a facelift.
Though I am not hearing many rumors for a new Oasis, I am sure it's in the works. However, this new Paperwhite is fantastic (and I am coming from the latest-gen Oasis). If the page buttons are a big feature feature for you, then definitely wait for a new Oasis. Or else this Paperwhite Signature Edition is wonderful. I am absolutely loving it
I honestly don't see Amazon upgrading the Oasis and asking people to pay a $100 premium for physical turn buttons and a slightly larger screen (I'm not sure that color e-ink displays are good enough for a premium Amazon product yet, especially when compared with an iPad). I honestly feel that the new Paperwhite is the upgrade that Oasis users should strongly consider.
I have an oasis but got the weirdest itch to get one of these. The oasis is not easy to read while laying in bed. But I don't get the hate for the oasis: battery life is not awesome, but it's packed with features, it's lighting is the best by far and ergonomics (bed reading aside) are great.
I compared both ppw 11a and oasis 10th and the 25 leds on the oasis does not make much of a difference. In fact, didn't see a difference at all. I even preferred the ppw screen. I like the glass on the oasis better though
I received my 11th generation last week without the adverts and I completely love it. My other kindles are the 7" and 8" hd fire which I've had for a good couple of years and now, and after its (8") recent update it switches off by itself then maybe it will come back on again. This 11th generation Paperwhite is the 1st e-reader I have ever owned without adverts and I love it, it makes such a difference, I love its size and the way it handles compared to my other e-readers. It's small light and sooo flat, it's brilliant and yes it is a finger smudge magnet. But I have the perfect moko case for it so I don't mind, it doesn't bother me.
Power button on te bottom must be for a lower price, logic board on this device with the charging port and power button on the same side cut the production cost by eliminating extra buttons and cables / flexes on any other side of the device, I'm ok with the design, weird, yes, but I think I understand the point, Im just judging the device from a Technical Design perspective
I enjoyed your review. Thank You. I bought a refurbished PW4 earlier this summer and it was a really good price for the 32gig model so I’m not in the upgrade market at this time. What I would have liked to see is a pocket test of the PW 4 vs the PW5 at the time time using standard khaki pants. Shorts and jeans. One reason I like the PW4 is that I can pit it in my pocket real quick if I’m in a hurry to go out and think I may want to read. I keep it in a case but even then with normal pants the not a problem. Will this 6.8 screen add too much weight or bulkiness?
I think I'll get the new Paperwhite and go for the Signature Edition. I have quite an old third generation Kindle Keyboard, which still work, but I would like a built in illumination feature plus my old Kindle is quite slow. I think enough has improved for me to upgrade at this point. Not sure if I'll ever use the full 32 GB, although I do currently have an audible subscription that I mainly use on my phone, so I'm not sure how much I would use the Kindle for that. I prefer no adds especially with the ability to choose your sleep cover. I think 12 years of owning and using my Kindle Keyboard has more then paid off. I am wondering if these new Kindle's have the text to speech feature that's on my Kindle Keyboard? It's more mechanical then an audible book but it still gives me a chance to listen if my eyes get tired at no extra cost.
You’ll absolutely love the kindle Paperwhite! Can’t wait till you receive it. I have personally never used the text to speech feature so can’t comment on that. I love audible!
Nice review, thanks. I don't have any problem with the power switch location because I use a smart case and never switch the Kindle off. Just bought the Signature Edition as an upgrade for my partner, who is developing macular degeneration, so anything that improves the reading experience (for now) is worthwhile.
Can you make the screen warmer without having the backlight turned on? The Books app on my iPhone gives the option to have warmer paper colours while reading which I very much appreciate.
I was initially excited about the new Paperwhite. I had been wanting one with warm lighting, and I didn't like the design of the Oasis. However, I am disappointed with the loss of the back button and other changes to the firmware, and this has tempered my interest in getting another Kindle. If the price drops low enough, or Amazon brings back the back button, I'll consider getting one. In the meantime, I can read at night on my Likebook Mars. I agree with you about the wireless charging. While I already considered this feature useless, I did not realize how truly useless it is until you described how it worked. The regular edition should be fine for me, since I would still use my Likebook Mars for any manga or audio books I read.
I have a Kindle from 2011. No paperwhite, no touch screen but it has page buttons. It still works today but I am finally upgrading to the Sig Edition. Can't wait, it's supposed to arrive on Wednesday.
I have Kindle Paperwhite 7th & 10th Gen.. expecting 11th Gen Signature Edition this coming Saturday, hopefully earlier..🤗 took me sometime to make up my mind but with good deal, why not?
I have recently upgraded to the new Kindle 5 from a 10 year old PW1 which is still as good as new although the leatherette cover is about shot. I read for at least an hour or two every day and the new PW is very comfortable to hold, I have no problem with the narrower bezel or with the touch screen. I see no point in having a separate button to change the page. It is much faster than the old PW I have and the screen is clearer. THe new firmware takes a bit of getting used to after the old one. THe warm lighting is a big improvement. The old one has 2Gb and I never filled that completely with books so 8Gb will be ample, I don't have or want audio books, I don't like being read to. I was surprised at the close similarity in physical size between the PW1 in its protective cover (175 x 125mm) and the PW5 in its cover (175 x 130mm), only 5mm wider. For the Americans that is 1/5 inch (why won't you go metric like the rest of us?)
You can't add extra space to the Kindle Paperwhite! That's why my first e-reader is the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition better to have the extra space and not need it than to not have it and need it! Having said that I am very happy with my Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition! It has everything I want in a e-reader and then some! It is very enjoyable to read from! Absolutely love my Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition! Well worth the extra money definitely!
Candles and had the power button on the bottom for as long as I can remember. So you get used to it. Also I got the special edition for my mom because she has trouble plugging in her current Kyndall, so I also bought her the special charger for her to lay it on that fits the paperwhite.
I own Kindle Voyage, Kindle pwt 3, and Oasis 2,3… the only thing that interests me in upgrading is if the new Pwt has better resolution/ clear viewing than Oasis or KV does. Right now I feel Kv’s screen clarity is great. I think display is the most important
Thank you for a great review. Hmmm. I'm extremely tempted to update my beloved Kindle Voyage. The display size is something that I really like, though I will miss the ability to turn the pages with the pressure buttons on the side (I like to read with gloves in cold weather). I have another old Paperwhite I can trade in (for $25), and with the 20% discount on Amazon, I can get the Signature Edition for around $130. So tempting.
I am about to upgrade from a 2014 Kindle Paperwhite and think it is finally worth it for me. My kindle still works fine but waterproofing and all the other features make it feel like it’s time to pull the trigger. Going to trade mine in so I get the 20% discount as well as the credit for the device.
Do you think that a high storage use drains more battery in the Signature Edition? I plan to use a lot of space, but if it drains battery, it's pointless to buy the Signature Edition.
My Signature Paperwhite is due early December to replace my 2017 Oasis. I’m a little miffed at the long delay, but I always go the best specs available.
Also, I am surprised that the Kindle Oasis 10th Gen didn't receive the new page turn animation. Doesn't the 2019 Oasis have a better processor than the new 2021 Kindle Paperwhite? Or does the upgraded screen technology (E Ink Carta 1200) make the new page turn animation possible?
@@FaizAly Thank you. Some people swear that the new Eink Carta 1200 has better contrast than the screen technology on the Kindle Oasis 10th Gen. I will wait for an upgrade to the Kindle Oasis.
@@emcdonald75 overall it’s a great screen. But on my channel I like to be very honest and transparent. Yes the screen technology with the professor is speedier but in general there’s no groundbreaking difference in contrast
First time viewer of your channel -- superb review. I just bought the Signature and I love it as well. I agree with every point you made -- keep up the good work!
I’m so torn. I have the 2nd gen Oasis. I absolutely love the form factor, but no warmth control and no usb c charging. Ugh! I wish they would’ve updated the Oasis.
@@FaizAly I do love them. But it's literally the only device I have left that doesn't have USB C. I may wait it out and see if they'll release a newer Oasis. I'm jealous though!
Really enjoy your reviews. I am indeed going to upgrade. Seems like wait times on Amazon are long. I suppose like everything else, supply chains are to blame. Curious to see if you will comment on a few of Amazon’s bundles with the signature…. Cases and doc etc,
Has anybody had the issue where these models are getting stuck on the startup screen (boy on the tree screen). It seems to be pretty widespread. It happened to me last month. From what i have gathered it usually happens after a month of use: you turn it on and it will show no content, then you try to restart it and it gets stuck in the rebooting screen. The only solution has been to get it replaced from Amazon. Now I'm afraid it will happen again.
I've got the "old" Oasis from 2019 without different light colours and do a trade-in to amazon for this new kindle paperwhite se. The battery on my oasis sucks so much I can hardly stand it. And definitely the improved speed will and - finally - usb-c will be a big deal for me. Because I don't like ads on my devices the +30 bucks are no big deal in the long run.
Personally I prefer the Paperwhite over the Oasis. I have used the Oasis, but can't stand its design (personal preference). However stay tuned for my video on Paperwhite vs Oasis dropping soon :)
Hi. Do you think the thinner edges can be an issue? Have you ever accidentally turned a page when you're just holding it? And keep going; you just got a Brazilian subscriber!
Thank you for subscribing! 🙌🏼 The thinner edges are not an issue at all. If anything even if your thumb rests a little bit on the display it doesn’t register as a page flip. I’ll be doing a video on this subject this week!
Hey, I bought a new kindle paperwhite today, 11th gen, 6.8" one. Standard not signature. The battery drained from 57% to 53% within 45 minutes or so with the default settings (wifi on backlight on). Is that normal? Or do I need to replace it?
Hey! That should be normal. With any new device, it's good to fully charge it in the beginning. Plus setting up a new Kindle in the beginning always drains more battery.
@@FaizAly Hey, thanks for that info. After hearing about the battery lasting such a long time, seeing it go down so fast was disheartening. I'll charge it and see how it goes.
They didn’t give us the mobile connection as they did in the oasis. Otherwise for that price it would be awesome and the oasis would be off the market.
Hi Mohammad, because the signature edition has sensors that adjust the brightness automatically it does use up more battery. Also check out my video on how to improve Kindle's battery life: th-cam.com/video/w6ZjREWR8sQ/w-d-xo.html
great review that makes me wanna upgrade my kindle so eagerly after watching this lol. i can tell it's all of your real experience and genuine recommendation. thank you!
Just got my signature edition the other day and I never thought I’d care about the auto lighting with amber light but wow it’s pretty amazing. I never have to adjust the lighting because it’s always spot on and that’s because I’m picky about how bright it is when reading in a dark room. I don’t use the wireless charging so I can’t comment on that. I used my PW 4 everyday since it came out and this signature is seriously great. If you don’t mind changing the brightness all the time then yea the 8gb is good for you but just letting you know from one experienced kindle user to another.
Hi. Do you think that Amazon will put the newest kindles on the Black Friday? I want to buy it, but in Brazil the standard version of the new kindle is very expensive. Is it worth the wait?
Since it’s so new and for many it won’t be shipping till December, chances are slim. However watch this video of mine that’ll show you how you can save money on the new kindle th-cam.com/video/Ev2eZ5WUtxY/w-d-xo.html
I used my 10th gen everyday since I got it in 2019 and I upgraded to the new signature and it’s awesome and the warm light is amazing! Definitely worth the upgrade!
I have the 10th gen Paperwhite and I hate the matte finish of the back. It easily gets scratch. I'd rather have a hard textured plastic. Just like you, I don't like that power button neither.
The paperwhite lasts weeks on a charge……wireless charging on a kindle is pointless. I don’t even think it’s possible to to kill the kindle in a continuous day of using it. So there is no need to place it on your charger each night. How is the power button not ergonomic???? How often do you press it. Also if you lost 5% in two hours, i think you also have wi-fi on. Wi-fi on mine kills the battery a lot faster.
Well this smartphone design is definitely not the best decision for e-readers. Especially with shredded bezels. Of course it won't change as general public is accustomed to it with best selling device, what actually allows to sell proper design of the oasis for quite a premium margin in price and not obstruct sales for paperwhite what so ever. I don't get why kobo is not trying to capitalize on that. They could make a 6" libra for 100$ (let's be honest those tech are overpriced due to covering all the needs already) and completely take over the market.
You may try to defend this device by claiming that the bezel is broad enough to rest your fingers ; but this is only true if you are using both hands to hold it. It becomes a nightmare if you’re in bed and holding it with one hand. This is the reason I’m seriously thinking of getting the Kobo Libra 2. Although it is slightly more expensive, it is a hundred times better than this silly paperwhite.
I ordered one for myself, I normally love reading a physical book but I was running out of space. I love the size of the kindle , I can put it in my purse, its so easy to travel with and I have absolutely loved it. I love it so much I have ordered one for my Dad for Fathers Day :)

The regular edition should be fine for me, since I would still use my Likebook Mars for any manga or audio books I read.
You can save money on the new standard edition Paperwhite. Watch my video and find out the trick: th-cam.com/video/Ev2eZ5WUtxY/w-d-xo.html
@@FaizAly I already know about the Kids edition.
I have a Kindle from 2011. No paperwhite, no touch screen but it has page buttons. It still works today but I am finally upgrading to the Sig Edition. Can't wait, it's supposed to arrive on Wednesday.
You’re absolutely going to love it!
Waiting for my signature edition to be delivered. Thanks for your review!!
I have Kindle Paperwhite 7th & 10th Gen.. expecting 11th Gen Signature Edition this coming Saturday, hopefully earlier..🤗 took me sometime to make up my mind but with good deal, why not?
You will love it! Also be sure to subscribe to my channel :)
Finally your review is out! 🙌🏼
I’m glad you like the new PW. It’s a fantastic e-reader. Keith, be sure to subscribe to my channel :)
I love my paperwhite signature edition. I haven’t put it down since I got it.
Thanks for the Review I Had the Basic 2011 Paperwhite But I Trade it in For the Signature Edition. I Fealt Like I Was Missing Something?
You’re going to love the new one !
Candles and had the power button on the bottom for as long as I can remember. So you get used to it. Also I got the special edition for my mom because she has trouble plugging in her current Kyndall, so I also bought her the special charger for her to lay it on that fits the paperwhite.
I’m thinking about purchasing the actual special dock charger Amazon came out with. Let me know what you think of it!
Great review! Just now ordered my Paperwhite
Does anyone use a case or a sleeve for the paperwhite? The Amazon case seems to add nearly double the weight of the device.
I own Kindle Voyage, Kindle pwt 3, and Oasis 2,3… the only thing that interests me in upgrading is if the new Pwt has better resolution/ clear viewing than Oasis or KV does. Right now I feel Kv’s screen clarity is great. I think display is the most important
it's still 300ppi. the screen is a slight tech upgrade apparently, but the resolution is the same. I have a 2017 oasis and will probably wait.
Thank you Shai! Be sure to subscribe :) personally I don’t think you’ll go wrong with purchasing the new model. You’ll love it
What you think if the page turn button works good on Oasis why can't be added to paperwhite or voayage 2 or something
I think they are trying to make page buttons exclusive for Oasis, but you never know!
I am about to upgrade from a 2014 Kindle Paperwhite and think it is finally worth it for me. My kindle still works fine but waterproofing and all the other features make it feel like it’s time to pull the trigger. Going to trade mine in so I get the 20% discount as well as the credit for the device.
You’re going to love the new Kindle Paperwhite! Be sure to subscribe to my channel and let me know your thoughts on the Kindle after using it :)
@@FaizAly will do and I’ve subscribed 😊
Do you think that a high storage use drains more battery in the Signature Edition? I plan to use a lot of space, but if it drains battery, it's pointless to buy the Signature Edition.
My Signature Paperwhite is due early December to replace my 2017 Oasis. I’m a little miffed at the long delay, but I always go the best specs available.
A lot of local Best Buy’s have them in stock. You can check and see if they have them in stock, and cancel the order from Amazon
I walked right into Best Buy the day it came out, and bought mine
You should do a Paperwhite vs Oasis video
Up.
Simply. Oasis is little better but much more expensive
Yes please
Also, I am surprised that the Kindle Oasis 10th Gen didn't receive the new page turn animation. Doesn't the 2019 Oasis have a better processor than the new 2021 Kindle Paperwhite? Or does the upgraded screen technology (E Ink Carta 1200) make the new page turn animation possible?
Not, Kindle paperwhite 2021 have better processor, is more fast
@@Minwalin Thank you.
So it does not have better contrast than the Kindle Oasis?
To be honest, I didn’t find any difference when it comes to contrast
@@FaizAly Thank you. Some people swear that the new Eink Carta 1200 has better contrast than the screen technology on the Kindle Oasis 10th Gen. I will wait for an upgrade to the Kindle Oasis.
@@emcdonald75 overall it’s a great screen. But on my channel I like to be very honest and transparent. Yes the screen technology with the professor is speedier but in general there’s no groundbreaking difference in contrast
@@FaizAly I appreciate your honesty and your device reviews. Great job!!!
First time viewer of your channel -- superb review. I just bought the Signature and I love it as well. I agree with every point you made -- keep up the good work!

kindle 5 paperwhite 6.8 Backlight feature, wireless charging?
I’m so torn. I have the 2nd gen Oasis. I absolutely love the form factor, but no warmth control and no usb c charging. Ugh! I wish they would’ve updated the Oasis.
Unless the page buttons are a big feature for you, this new Paperwhite is fantastic
@@FaizAly I do love them. But it's literally the only device I have left that doesn't have USB C. I may wait it out and see if they'll release a newer Oasis. I'm jealous though!
I traded in my oasis II for the paperwhite 2021 No Regrets except for the location of the power button
Do they have touch screen lock like in Kindle Oasis?
Really enjoy your reviews. I am indeed going to upgrade. Seems like wait times on Amazon are long. I suppose like everything else, supply chains are to blame. Curious to see if you will comment on a few of Amazon’s bundles with the signature…. Cases and doc etc,
Thank you! Be sure to subscribe :) I’m currently working on a video as we speak on the cases and bundles
Think I finally found a replacement for my 2015 paperwhite. Think it's worth the jump?
I definitely believe it’s worth the jump
Can't decide... Paperwhite 21(smaller screen) or Onyx Boox 7.8 inch(pricier, but Android and bigger screen). What do you think?
I love Amazon’s ecosystem
Does anyone know if there’s an option for ‘tap to open’ a Kindle instead of tapping the power button?
Have seen your videos since you had like 200 subscribers, already subscribed, hope you can keep on growing on you channel, nice content :)

Should I put screen protectors?
Has anybody had the issue where these models are getting stuck on the startup screen (boy on the tree screen). It seems to be pretty widespread. It happened to me last month.
From what i have gathered it usually happens after a month of use: you turn it on and it will show no content, then you try to restart it and it gets stuck in the rebooting screen. The only solution has been to get it replaced from Amazon. Now I'm afraid it will happen again.
Just ordered one of these. Thanks for the review!
You’ll love it!
Does it charge with apples wireless charger?
@Faiz - are you using some kind of digital noise reduction on this video? It looks really weird.
Unfortunately when the video renders, it comes out that way. Working on a fix
You’re going to love the Paperwhite SE. Have been using it for more than a week now, and it’s fantastic
on the fence bw this and the old oasis.. thoughts?
@@FaizAly That's good to know, I'll turn on notifications as well. Thank you!
@@shricharanabharadwaj2468 sounds good! Keep me posted!
KPW Signature and Oasis 3, which one is better?
If you really like the page turning buttons, then the Oasis. Otherwise, I recommend the KPW
@@FaizAly Thank you for rapid reply. I don't know whether I like the page turning buttons. How may I choose between them?
They didn’t give us the mobile connection as they did in the oasis. Otherwise for that price it would be awesome and the oasis would be off the market.
I'm feeling like battery of this gen kindle is draining faster. Is it ok?
Using signature edition.
Hi Mohammad, because the signature edition has sensors that adjust the brightness automatically it does use up more battery. Also check out my video on how to improve Kindle's battery life: th-cam.com/video/w6ZjREWR8sQ/w-d-xo.html
great review that makes me wanna upgrade my kindle so eagerly after watching this lol. i can tell it's all of your real experience and genuine recommendation. thank you!
I’m glad you liked the review! Be sure to subscribe 🙌🏼
I’m going to go for standard model. Don’t care about the wireless charging. 8 GB is more than enough.
@@Josh-vk7qu 8gb is more than enough lol, you can put more than 1500 books
@@Minwalin I’m not even talking about the storage wth? Can you not read or what? I’m clearly talking about the auto lighting
I would love to know if i need to upgrade from the oasis, or it is just a slight difference
Definitely a worthy upgrade, but stay tuned tomorrow for my comparison video on Paperwhite vs Oasis that releases tomorrow. Be sure to subscribe :)
Best review so far. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it, Lara! Be sure to subscribe if you haven't already! :)
You mentioned pricing, which countries currency are you referring to?
USD
You were wrong. Wireless charging is an awesome, modern, and crazy lovely addition and I am happy that SE supports it.
Whoever makes and markets a screen protector with the OG kindle feel will make bank.
Hey there, I have some archives in mobi format in my pc, is it possible to send them via c cable to read them on kindle?
There absolutely is. Download the software Calibre and plug in your Kindle and launch the app and you can send files easily via that app

How does it compare to the libra 2 in your opinion?
I’ve heard a lot about the Libra 2. Will have to review it soon!
Where are the buttons to change the page?
Paperwhite does not have buttons, only the Oasis does!
Is the screen on 6.8 incl new kindle Glass or plastic
Glass
I love my signature edition but i hate no lte because i travel alot so i will have take my kindle paperwhite lte when traveling
straight to the point great review subbed

I used my 10th gen everyday since I got it in 2019 and I upgraded to the new signature and it’s awesome and the warm light is amazing! Definitely worth the upgrade!
Kinda funny that Voyage has a crisper screen
I got the standard model. I don’t like the automatic backlight due to migraines. But it’s been awesome. I finally upgraded from the kindle keyboard 3.

Thank you for the review. I love the paperwhite!
Thanks for watching!
I bought the paperwhite gen 8 in August, I could hv waited longer for this signature😔😔😔
Bezels are too small for me, and cause hand cramping!
You need a case.
I have the 10th gen Paperwhite and I hate the matte finish of the back. It easily gets scratch. I'd rather have a hard textured plastic. Just like you, I don't like that power button neither.
Absolutely hate that matte finish also
just ordered my first kindle :D
You’ll love it! Be sure to subscribe to my channel :) will be showing some cool kindle hacks!
@@FaizAly i will check em out. Do you have some "case" recommendations?
The paperwhite lasts weeks on a charge……wireless charging on a kindle is pointless. I don’t even think it’s possible to to kill the kindle in a continuous day of using it. So there is no need to place it on your charger each night. How is the power button not ergonomic???? How often do you press it. Also if you lost 5% in two hours, i think you also have wi-fi on. Wi-fi on mine kills the battery a lot faster.
I bought one and still waiting for it to be delivered
You’ll love it when it arrives!
To reactivate the reading, it is a sec slower than previous kindle
Love your video presentation!

Too much blurr in the software, often the edges were blurred, too. Just what I noticed in the video. Nice content though, appreciated.

The battery on my Oasis feels like it dropped from just turning it on.
My Oasis was the same way
FRONT light, not back light
You’re right! Small slip up on my part!
