I'm pretty much interested in this keyboard - but I find the RGB or white lighting useless when the caps are not translucent. I prefer working in a dark environment and I would like to see the glyphs of the caps.
01:00 Thats not a capacitor, its a magnetic choke, it has the wires of the cable looped around it usually as it captures the high frequency interference the cable generates. On a 2.0 cable those are helpful for keeping high speed noise off the line. For a Type-C/usb3.0 cable it's usually a sign of a very poor quality and unshielded cable. As this is a keyboard, its probably only using the 2.0 connection regardless, but you're still almost certainly much better off with a better quality full USB-C cable.
The K5 Max ticks all the boxes for me.. well, almost. I need it in an ISO Layout but it's only available in ANSI. I really hope that keychron comes out with the ISO version soon! :) Great Review, thanks :)
I really hope they come out with the K5 Max keyboard in white like the K5 Pro! The white color + the full size keyboard itself was really nice, and that combo is the main reason I got the K5 Pro. One of my few disappointments with the K5 pro was the bluetooth... I don't really like using bluetooth on my computer, plus the keyboard while wireless felt a little slow tbh 🤷♀️
Keychron now has 2.4Ghz? I might actually buy one now. I thought my need for a numpad with a “big O” limited me to the Logitech MX Mechanical full size.
I already bought it, I'm here to justify my decision lol.
This is the way
And how is it? Is it a good buy? Contemplating whether I should buy one tomorrow

unfortunately you need to buy a set of shine through keycaps for that. I don't think they sell those.
just keep in mind that you can customize and swap those. Not many in the market right now but it will bloom!
Thanks for this. It helped solidify my confidence in making this purchase. The keyboard is now in the mail
Yeah it’s really quite nice

Good clear video of the product and not blablabla thank you.
How is the battery life on this keyboard so far? Thanks!

Hast du die ISO-DE Variante gekauft?
Is it just a RGB background lights? The letters and numbers are not glowing?
Just ordered some mint switches after using blue switches on my keychron k3 for the past 2 years for a change. Feels like a new keyboard again😂

you can buy a dongle for the pro
cool review. I am using an android tablet for productivity. does this keyboard have dedicated android keys i.e., home, multi-task, and back button?
I like how you entirely skipped showing it's intuitive manual lol.
What's the point of having the rgb lighting, if the keys aren't shine-through? It makes zero sense, the backlighting doesn't help at all.
But you do have an option to switch the keycaps with 'Low Profile ABS LSA Full Set' which does shine through... I'm planning on doing the same.
@@MuthukannanB Yes, but the options are very slim out there.
I saw your review and just purchased mine. great review. subscribed . Cheers !

my first mecanical keyboard was the k3 tkl but is good but weird connection and no wireless 2.4 and abc keycaps.
That cylinder @1:01 is a ferrite choke, not a capacitor.
Time to google “ferrite choke” I guess 🫡

It’s an extremely nice keyboard
May i know while in blue tooth mode, how long it takes for it to go to sleep, and how long it takes to wakeup after being press?
They don't have a storage slot for the 2.4 dongle?
I think it does not, to keep it thinner.
K5 Max VS K5 SE?
