    The "Future acrylic floor finish" they used to sell in the 1970s aged the same way. You couldn't just let it build up because it absorbed dirt and looked dingy on the patterned vinyl floors that were popular back then, but when you stripped it off, it turned to the same Cream of Wheat mush we saw here.

    @SteamBossInc I used Quickshine and now I have scratches all over my floor. Guessing that they are scratches on the layer of this product and not the actual floor. Can I use the product you used to remove the 3 yrs of the Quickshine on my laminate floor?

    Just a suggestion I think you could have used a red pad it won't be that aggressive you probably use an orbiter or but that's a lot of work you guys are doing it must be a better way I understand you don't want to wet the Floor wit water too much cuz if you don't want to do that try to find a less aggressive pad and use a machine and then suck it all up with a vacuum

    • @SteamBossInc

      Should not be using that much water to clean floors that it could damage them.

      I get not using to much water, but for example... I work in a nursing home, it's older and had a bunch of laminate put in. What protects the floor if not wax? It's commercial... wheel chairs and walkers are hard on them.

    • @bluediamondcarpetcare8651
      @bluediamondcarpetcare8651 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@brian117ablemost laminate floors are made to be durable. There for you shouldn’t need any type of wax, polish, or finish. To protect the floor you may can get a cheap runner rug for high traffic areas .or something like that. But if you must put any type of wax down, make sure you get good quality wax specifically formulated for laminate floors. And keep in mind that you would have to remove the old wax each time you apply new wax. It’s not recommended to put layers and layers of wax on top of each other. (that’s how your floors end up like the ones in the video) But me personally I will stay away from all wax on laminate because the floor has it’s natural shine it should be durable enough . That’s my opinion. I hope this helps.

The microfiber flat mops aren't collecting any of the wax at all either. Any recommendations?

      They did the same thing in the apartment where I live. E erytime someone moved they poured more froor wax on the floor, over top of food crumbs, hair, etc.
      I am having a heck of a time cleaning up the mess.
      Also if I mop the floor wiyh floor cleaner, it reactivates the wax and it becomes extremely slippery.

      Well, that solves it, we won’t be putting wood floors in our house after all. I like the the glossy wood look and if all it’s gonna do is ruin the floor and I have to keep getting it finished to keep it glossy overtime. I’d rather just get tile. wood sucks.

    • @pcno2832
      @pcno2832 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@everythingyousayiscorrect This isn't really a wood floor and people probably put this stuff on to make it look less fake, and it works at first. The problem it that the fake finish (aluminum oxide, I believe) is so tough that nothing sticks to it for long. Real wood floors have some kind of varnish (usually polyurethane) that won't do this, but it does eventually get scratched up and needs some kind of refinishing. It's fine for a living room or bedroom, but I wouldn't want it in a kitchen.
