Yes, he’s doing a very good job. I’ve done many floors in my time like this. Drive your floor scrubber slowly, and take your time over lapping about Les than half of the pad. Pick it up, flood rinse with a neutralizer, then a clean water rinse. Then damp mop it. It’s very time consuming.
Man I miss waxing floors I love the process of it! I'd use a slow speed buffer to strip floors and a 32 inch autoscrubber with black pads to go over the slurry and suck it up so it's like a second go over while you suck it up...great job guys looks great
Definitely an interesting video. For something like this, Pioneer Eclipse 440ST and a walk behind scrubber would make this much easier and less time consuming.
This video has been very helpful! thank you for posting your work. I moved into a new apartment and the CVT floors here have very similar quality. The integrity is good, but the top layer has been neglected.
I have had a cleaning company several years now and am going all commercial. I am doing my first floor this weekend and am so excited! Watching this makes me way less nervous! How much do you charge for a floor this size? Or how do you go about bidding floors?
You should show us how you solve the issue when stripper dries up and what you do to fix it. Alot of beginners struggle with that issue and give up and don't like doing stripping and waxing
You need a front squeegee on a wet vac. The wand is too slow and too much work. It's 10 times faster. He also is doing too large of a area at one time.200 to 300 feet sections.
Nice work but what wax stripper would best be used to strip years of old wax on but tiles without the harsh smell of the chemicals or inhaling them? Thanks for your time
8 year floor guy here, there is a stripper called "Liquid Blast off" from the company Nu-ball. i used it less than a month ago and its very low odor/harshness.
Nice work you guys! Don't worry about the negative comments. Your work speaks for itself. What do you charge per sqft for this and what is your minimum charge? Thanks for posting.
Thanks for the video. Is your cleaning unit gas powered or electric? Not sure if there are even electric ones but just a friendly comment if its gas powered then you really want to avoid parking that close to an entry point so you don't ever have a carbon monoxide issue. Thanks again for the video. Turned out really nice.

My first few jobs I did I used zep high traffic because it was cheaper and it was easy to get. After a few jobs I decided to by the wax from my local janitorial store. It was almost 2x the price, but what I found was that it looked better with the same amount of coats compared to the zep, and had an overall nicer look. It’s hard to explain, but I noticed a difference right away. I now adjusted my pricing to make up for the added cost. I just did a hair salon this past week and the client absolutely loved the results. So much so, that she asked me to be there at the grand opening so I could answer her clients questions about the floor and get leads for carpet, tile and grout, and upholstery cleaning. Even the building owner was shocked in the transformation of the floor.

I'm a floor tech at a hospital in terms of the stripping process what do you recommend for stripping off about 8 to 10 coats of years of built up wax more efficiently? I find myself having to go over the same area several times and using a lot of stripper and pads
How do you guys go about with closets that are full, i know some guys just go around them and some pull out all the junk and strip and wax in their. How do you guys do yours?

I just did this job in our clubhouse (60x60) and it's no joke. 3 days of stripping and waxing. I was hoping to get Steam Boss to do the job but they don't service my area Davenport, FL :(
Nice work 🥰😍. I want to start a carpet cleaning and wax removal business. What machines do I need to rent from Home Depot that is effective to start with until I can buy better machines?
Based on the instructions from the particular manufacturer, Inferno for example is a cold water stripper - 15 minutes is about right for that product. And as far as pads go - BLACK stripping pads for this kind of job - green or maroon do not have the grit factor to completely remove this much finish.
I have a question, after finish the last coat how long do you wait before you put furnature back onto it? I work in a nursing home and i take care of the floors. I've been researching the dry time of 30 mins. But it says i have to wait 24 hrs. Before putting furnatures back onto the floor.
question, do you ever run into a sort of crystalline buildup between coats? for the second year in a row this has happened and we can’t find anything anywhere online about remedies
While I’m still learning, I’ve done a few jobs with wax, and when that’s happened to me it’s because of moisture. The floor was either not dry before applying wax, or the coats weren’t even and it allowed moisture to go into the wax causing that to happen. I had a nightmare in a home where the client wanted a finish on her tile floor, but before I was even done they were showering and coming out the shower with wet feet walking all over their home. A week later I was back having to strip it off the whole house! I was so upset. I took the loss because I failed to mention they needed to give it a few hours to cure. I just assumed, my error there, that they would wait before doing all this stuff seeing that I wasn’t even done laying the coats down. Took two whole days to remove it from their house 🤦🏽♂️

hey chuck hope this helps. use a light duty pad on your machine so you dont ruin the polish, my favorite stripper is flash 55 from pioneer eclipse. let stripper sit for 10min, scrub thouroughly and dont let the stripper water dry anywhere. look for leftover wax and do it again if needed. flood rinse with clean water and some soap, squeegee, mop, let dry and for the sealer there are plenty of good choices for different needs. ask your local concrete vendor. keep in mind the stone beneath the wax is polished with diamonds, so try to remove the wax without stripping pads. maybe normal red scrubbing pad. key will be to let the stripper soak.

Hi, I work in a hospital as a cleaner for about a year and my job scope included polishing. The hospital uses vinyl floor instead of tile. I've only done polishing job twice and everything went very well. But recently, during the stripping process, everything went very well but it gets quite un-smooth during the polishing process. When i apply the 1st layer of polishing fluid(we use dolly mop and squeeze it damp, not wet. The polishing chemical is 502 Supreme Polish) , it become lines of continuous tiny droplets and appear obviously on 1st layer. I'll usually apply 3 to 4 layers of polish. At 4th layer, the finish looks good and the lines only visible when being looked at really up close. We also tried using lamb wool but god...the finish looks much uglier let alone last layer(4th layer). Do you know what might cause the polish become lines of tiny droplets? Some say wind blows, some say temperature, some say the mop is unfit for polishing job. I'm not sure if waxing is different from polishing, but in your video, it appears that you use blower and apply the wax with kentucky mop(which in my experience it can hold more fluid than dolly mop). Hey I do floors also. Do y’all use any sealers on the vCt tile or just wax? Just wondering I know everybody has different ways of doing it
The floor finish/wax is the sealer.
Can put 2 coats of sealer then 2 or 3 coats of wax.
You can use wax as a sealer just put the first coat on thin so it fills in all the pits and grooves in the floor
Why do y’all use pads and not a brush on the buffer machine?
A brush would not remove the old finish.

about 5-6 hrs
