The problem I see is with open floor plans. Putting hard wood floors in high traffic/use areas where they get very dirty and then expecting to clean it with a dry/ damp mop is ridiculous. People used to have tile floors (maybe linoleum)in a kitchen and hardwood for other areas partially covered by an area rug. That was a better setup.

Music is way to loud. I used Murphy’s oil on my hardwood floors for almost 20 years at my previous house without any build up. We moved into our current house almost 4 years ago and have used the Bona cleaners without any problem. I think the issue is the amount of Bona cleaner you used, it was like 20 times the amount you should be using. If you did that every week, no wonder there was residue build up.

    • @karimshaban5460
      @karimshaban5460 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

It's not the amount of cleaner. They were using Bona POLISH. That's a polyurethane coating. The instructions on the back of that literally say "use 2-4 months, or even less frequently depending on traffic". Bona CLEANER can be used regularly.

We've used Murphy's oil soap for years. He's right it does give it a natural clean look however for the past year and a half we've been using Bona on a separate floor downstairs and ive noticed a Big difference between the two. The bona had no build up as this video suggested nor is there any dirt trapped under the floor. I think that is due to the person cleaning the floor and how they're applying it. The bona is more like a water substance then wax and the Murphy's oil soap is a lot thinker and more oily. The Bona has surpassed our expectations for the price. We haven't looked for anything since. Our floor looks healthy great and we couldn't be more satisfied. So u can take this video how u like. Im not trying to discourage u from buying the other cleaners im simply offering u my honest opinion after seeing this i felt as if i should and if u don't believe me try it urself. Thanks

@@arizonahardwoodfloorsupply Yes, any kind of oil or wax should never be applied to a hardwood floor because eventually the floors could be re-coated with polyurethane and both of those products will repel polyurethane coatings, especially wax. Murphy’s oil soap however can be removed before a prep and re-coat.
Just cool, clear water with a SMALL amount of any type of all purpose cleaner other than Murphy’s oil soap, Pine-Sol, ammonia or vinegar will work fine. Light damp mopping only, no heavy wet mopping. Residential floors are not ship decks that need to be swabbed.

I have been used Zep, Rejunivate and Bona for awhile!
    This is my opinion
I use Zep hardwood laminate floor cleaner for regular cleaning because they cheap and clean well. Buy a gallon can last a month. The finish after will be Matt , not shiny
I use Rejuvenate when I want to deep clean like every other week. Feel so much clean and a bit shine.
I don’t like Bona because they too pricey but already stock when them on sale for $2, I only want to used when I want quick touch up for shiny look only. Bona make floor slippery leave a film on the floor, my friends who wear sock almost fall when they take shoes off.
****Finally I find something that beat them all ##Pine Sol## is the best it clean well, it kill virus Corona virus and other germs. It’s protect your hardwood floor. It have a bit of shiny looks. The price is cheap, save money. a gallon you need to dulled it can last for long time. Only downside is smell so strong, I drop a few drop of essential oil like lavender or sweet orange.

Is the rejuvenate in a gray bottle with a purple cap (most of the time) lol? I've honestly never heard of it but need something heavy duty.

Use the manufacturer’s recommendations or you could void the wood floor warranty.

Can I use a roomba on hardwood floors or do they scratch it?

I have had a few different Roomba vacuums with no problems. This one is our favorite amzn.to/3toU7RA. I would not use the mop systems.

This is an instructional video . Is this music necessary ? If we want to listen to music we would rather watch a music video . Your music is louder than you. For next time please make a instructional video without music. Thank u !

omg, people! do NOT use any chemicals on hardwood! detergents will dull the finish and cause damage over time. the best and ONLY thing you should use is a damp mop.

I use rejuvinate floor cleaner, Murphy's oil and bona seemed to damage my hard wood. I love my hard wood floors so I re did them after the damage that Murphy's and bona did,and started using rejuvenate and never went back

I just start use rejuvenate because Lowe’s had clearance sale for less than $2 per bottle and the spray mop for $7 I grab and stock a lot of them. They seem pretty good for my engineered wood floor.
