      Definitely, one of the biggest struggle that I had, and deep work helped me to train my mind to focus. We all have off days, so you are not alone.

      Distractions are normal. Consistent actions towards our goals make the difference. Even an 1% change is remarkable.

    Hey!! just wanted to let you know that your journal prompt guide is actually so helpful! i wasn't expecting much when I decided to click through, just because I've downloaded other journal prompt guides before, but yours is actually really great. It's helping me refocus my direction, but also process/ reflect and let go of things that have been holding me down.

    Thank you, I wake up at 4 am while on retreats and 8 usually and start work at 10 after lying in bed, yoga and meditation and a slow breakfast. Never been healthier or more effective. Six hours a day tops and laser focused during that time.

    • @lauriexwang
      @lauriexwang  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That's impressive with 6 hours of focused work! I like your method of a slower start to ease into the day, sounds heavenly. Thanks for sharing your routine too 🙌

    Good video. I think it’s a matter of phrasing but I disagree that it’s about not having enough time (1:53), though I recognise you go on to talk about distractions which is fair. To rephrase: it’s not about having insufficient time, it’s that we use that time badly by becoming distracted and not prioritising how we use our time.

    • @lauriexwang
      @lauriexwang  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for your thoughtful feedback! You make a great point-it’s more about how we use our time rather than not having enough. Prioritizing is the key, appreciate you for sharing your thoughts.

    How do you know the difference between loving it and something just becoming hard. I start out, and i am fired up then it fizzles out, and i start looking to go back to old things i have tried beforehand as my mind starts to drift and become bored and lack motivation to continue on my current project

    • @lauriexwang
      @lauriexwang  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks for sharing your experience. It can be tough to tell the difference between genuinely loving something and just hitting a hard spot. Try reflecting on how you feel about the core activity, not just the challenges. Passion often pushes through obstacles. Breaking your project into smaller tasks and celebrating little wins might help keep your motivation up. Keeping a journal of your progress and feelings can also give you some clarity. Have you tried any strategies to stay motivated?
      Also, there is a video coming out on this which talk about reframing the activity, keep an eye out for it in the coming weeks!
