    When the pain of where you are now > the pain of taking action.
    That is the catalyst for you - taking action.
    - taking responsibility/ ownership for where you are - And where you want to be.
    Only when you start owning where you are and your future
    that change can start happen for you.
    No more blaming other people.
    No more blaming things out of your control.
    Socrates - secret to success is not in fighting the old, but in building the new.
    1. Clarity
    2. Write your Goals on a Piece on Paper - Read it everyday to imprint it in your subconscious mind
    3. Align your Actions - to achieve your goal
    4. Impact - what legacy you leave
    5. Value -- What are your strengths ?
    6. Make time for taking action
    7. Curate the IDEAL ENVIRONMENT for you to take action --> To achieve your Goal. Cut out negativity/ toxicity. Surround yourself with like-minded people / positivity.
    8. Consistent Actions EVERYDAY to achieve WHERE and WHO you want to be.
    Knowledge is only POTENTIAL Power
    The real Power lies in your ability to TAKE ACTION / EXECUTE

    I disagree with you on empathy, when we are so empathetic we focus on others and attract victim personalities. They may think we are vulnerable and that they can use us. It starts with our families and friends. we must solve problems and help others without emotions. To focus our energies on our own growth, we must establish boundaries.

      @kjarneson655 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +43

      You can have great empathy without making emotional choices. If you learn to develop healthy boundaries both internally and with others, empathizing is not dangerous. You can empathize while still standing your ground and protecting yourself. You can even empathize without taking any action-empathy can be your own internal experience, your perspective of a person or situation that you don’t even share. Empathy just allows you to have compassion and perhaps deeper understanding….What you do with it is a different thing entirely.

Your emphasis on creating an environment that makes it easier for you to become the you that you want to be. The power of an ideal vision and the importance of environment cannot be ignored. Also, I appreciate your distinction between knowledge being "potential power" and your ability to take action being "actual" power. Agreed, sweet. Empathy is a must in life but being to caring for other people will eventually bring you down. In psychology one can have an internal or an external locus of control which brings very different outcomes in ones life. I believe in having an internal locus of control produces a better rounded human being.❤❤

      Although this may sound selfish it isn't. It took a Dr of psychology to teach me that one has to focus on themselves before they can give care and compassion to their friends. Remember a friend is a general description of an associate in your life. Humans can go from being a friend to an enemy in one day. Answer, just believe in yourself and don't worry about having friends coz they will not be friends when you most need them. Trust YOURSELF!!!

    Good video, honest, compassionate and to the point. Brian Tracy is great. I am working through his goal setting booklet again after going through a lot of loss and bereavement that has left me feeling very lost and in the dark about what to do from here. I read that it helps to draw each goal as well as writing down its steps, so I'm going to try that this time.

People keep making videos like these, but no one ever say they will be getting calls from these people that want to really know where is the money.

    There can’t be a better time for this video. Things never do according to plan, it’s not necessary that things always happen according to what I pictured in my head from the thinking/ planning capacity of my mind. We make a thousand plans in such a short period of time then tend to get sad and feel like we’ve failed when we’re not able to fulfill those goals.
    Everything I’ve been working since 2 years has fallen, I feel like I’m back to square one and can’t figure out where to start. Where do I start picking up the pieces and start a new job and find the courage, determination to start another business to achieve financial freedom, mind you I don’t have anyone to lay back on. We started from scratch, every single time.

    I love this Simon. I’m in a job that’s been my career for many years, I retrained in the pandemic in a job I’d love to do & to swop careers. The job I’m in is so stressful & so busy I feel I don’t have the headspace to build my other career & so haven’t moved far at all. I’m also the main earner. I love what you’re saying I just feel on a roundabout stuck & unsure how I can change my situation which I’d love to do in 6 months!!

    • @simonalexandero
      @simonalexandero  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you Kate and for sharing here. It feels like the first step is to create some headspace for you to build your other career. Small things you could do is to start saying No to things that are not aligned to where you would like to be to protect more of your time outside of work to build your other career. If you still need more time after that, it may require a transition step of moving into another job to give you the time you need, e.g. I moved from a high pressured job in trading within the financial services industry to a research job which had less pressure and “kinder” hours to allow me to build my other career - what I now get to do today.

    I’ve come across this video at a crucial time in my life. I believe I know what I want to do and I found a track to follow to get there. I’m not sure about the finding what success means, but I know to begin with it will involve being able to pay my bills without having to worry. Without having to do anything extra to get it done. But it will also involve personal fulfillment, and what I do to help others.
