Injectors and PCV if they where never done. Good time to carbon clean. Maintenance is key with the aging EA837. Some things just hang on by a thread until you start pushing with mods and tunes. Found this out on my SQ5 when I went e40. First it was the injectors then went the LPFP. After that I would go straight dual pulley with supporting mods. I recommend the 190/57 kit because you are in Washington and heat year-round aint an issue like for me in FL. On that note divorcing the SC coolant loop when putting in the larger exchanger would be ideal. Could also upgrade to larger 3/4" SC lines as well as larger SC coolant intake ports from Velocity AP. Eliminating the restrictive crossover pipe and allowing you to run aforementioned 3/4" lines and squeeze more overhead while improving recovery. Cats will go eventually when modding so test pipes are smart before they fail and run the risk of catastrophic damage. Also pick up some power. HPFP is good to do even if you are not going e40. I ran Autotechs unit and 034's. 034's has a much better build quality hands down. Once these things are done your motor mounts will get a workout. Would recommend 034's products again. Love their catalog. Their drivetrain and chassis inserts are nice for the hardcore. A little more NVH than most would like but racecar. Obviously wheels and tires with stiffer suspension to try to help keep traction. The S4 aint like the SQ5, she gonna have traction issues. Port the blower if ya want or wait for the TVS1900. Yor choice. But with the list you have plenty of work to record. Also have other smaller mods and "upgrades" that I can recommend on this chassis.
a DIY video on removing, replacing, and/or deleting the cats! Especially once tuned, the b8.5's cats just melt. I am about to start my stage 2+ install (034, thx to u), and would like to tackle the cat delete ASAP. I know 034 specifically doesn't say this is required, but it seems to be a pretty big concern on the B8.5's. Thank you!
Great video men thinking about buying one for me, can you do a dyno run now and one after you moded, I'm tired of ppl saying it should make such and such after moding the cars.
I did the same thing when I got my first Sq5 from dealer with 130k miles. All the fluids looked brand new and I just felt like I wasted my time lol no way I would of known because dealer had no idea about transmission
What's up man. I've been searching TH-cam as well as your channel for a DIY video on how to remove the B8.5 S4's Cats and delete. After one of your videos with 034, I pulled the trigger and got the full stage 2+. Still waiting on a few more parts, but looks like i am starting next week on the install. Long story short, I read up on the B8.5 cat's position, near the hottest part of the car, essentially melting the metals inside the cat blocking the airflow. Any recommendations/video, on a how to DIY? thank you in advance.
@@Need4Built You do, my wife has a dual pulley Q5 with all the options in 2014 and it's the best car we own. Basic maintenance you showed in this video and it gets launched and race almost every other week. You can get them at a steal too.

Picking up my clean titled well maintained 2016 S5 with 123,000kms this Friday morning 👊🏽 Cheers from Canada!
Ima simple man, I see a B8.5 S4, I sub

Nice to see clean fluids! I want to see some supercharger mods!
Great content. I can't wait for more sq5 content
In the works !!
these engines are very reliable, I have a 2012 A7 and just minor issues are old rubber gaskets going out
Even more reliable if you take care of them!

Yeah that’s absolutely in the plan to happen! Dyno stock to where ever we end up with it!

Good work!!
Are you moving on from IE tunes and for the foreseeable future work with 034?
Not unless I touch another platform where IE is dominating. Like the 4.0T. Also I may get into another B9, we’ll see.
Not done with my SQ5 either.
Are all 3 MAP Sensors the same part #? Or is the one at the back of the supercharger different?
One at the back is different
@@Need4Built Do you have a part # for the two types of sensors?
@@jeffkincaid1 please check with FCP euro for verification.
What DIY service manuals do you recommend, AlldataDIY or Factory-Manuals?
@@MichaelDunn-y1q alldataDIY. I have minor access to factory manuals. There’s a ton of DIY content available online as well.

When doing the rear differential service do you put the full plug when there’s a steady drip?
Yes.
Heat Exchanger install
That needs to happen
If you do this, can you show us your method for bleeding the coolant? That would be amazing. Local fan from Marysville with a B8.5 SQ5 :) @@Need4Built
@@jonathangipaya I need a b8.5 sq5 😆 yeah absolutely!
@@Need4Built haha oh man. I was on the fence about getting a b9 sq5 for awhile but I love the b8.5 too much 😅
