- The Yamaha Aerox 155 is the most powerful scooter in India today. Yamaha calls it a maxi-sports scooter, but to us, it's a sports scooter. Not the most practical as scooters go, but biggest smile seems guaranteed. It has space all around except on the floorboard. It primarily competes with the Aprilia SXR 160 but this one has more power, similar weight, and a slightly higher price tag. However, there’s more to the new Aerox 155 as Shumi explains in this walkaround video.

Great video PD Army! would love to also hear your opinions on this vs the upcoming crop of electric scooters. Since electric motors deliver instant torque and scooters like the S1 Pro also claim to hit that 110 kph top speed...
Bawasir hai yeh toh, XSR launch kiya hota toh baaki ki phat jaata.
Not great for a practical day to day commute
....its a machine which is in a limbo !! Neither a scooter, nor a sport bike , if its not practicle , if it doesnt have tons of storage space, if it doesnt have a flat floor board, if u cant carry ur regular groceries, lpg cylinders, bags, sacks etc !! IT CANT BE CALLED A SCOOTER THEN, it is faar better to put ur money on the R15 then this confused machine. Aerox is something which could have been a fab product if it had :
1. Spacious Flat floor board.
2. Mono shock at the rear for better comfort , handling and looks (twin shock look weired).
3. Back rest for long journeys.
4. A large , fixed adjustable wind screen on apron.
5. Cruise control .
6. Optional carry boxes etc.

Amazing sports scooter from Yamaha. Only downsides are low ground clearance and low fuel tank capacity. Hopefully ride quality and suspension are not too hard like Aprilia. Eagerly waiting for the test ride review from PD.

Great walk around video. A little mistake in the specs. It has a 230mm front disc brake and not a 140mm as mentioned in the caption in the video. Hope you get to ride the scooter soon. I have a decision to make. Split between the CB350 and this. It’s chalk and cheese but that’s where I am now.
I rode this thing in Thailand. It was fast and fun. Pretty balanced suspension setup, so it handles well too.
Cant wait to see how they have tuned it here.
Would like to see in your reviews how the suspension works. Existing scooters have very bad suspensions and gives serious problems to my back. So I use only bikes, hopefully with this I can change that

Good to see Brands like Yamaha have woken up from deep slumber and taking the Indian 2wheeler riders very seriously. It has made the right decision to launch such world class products for Indian market. Yamaha Aerox 155 is a good product that's sure going to lead a mad rush by companies to launch world renowned Maxi-scooters for mass market like India.

Yamaha design team: ah get rid of that, but what bout the best version of R3 we designed, the R3 BS3.
Yamaha: damnn, that's still looking great, so better use it for scooters.

Coz we had enough of the likes of typical Activa , access etc etc , now it's time for something new , if you want practical , the likes of ola should be the choice but if full power this one .
