Thanks for making a video on the Aerox. It definitely deserves the recognition. As an owner of an Aerox myself, I have done similar mods to mine too. Indonesian Rear suspension, 265mm disk, changed to heavier 20w front fork fluid, a tyre hugger etc. It is a scooter than can do everything from city to highway duties and the mods available only make it better. For people who can’t have two different 2-wheelers, one scooter for the city and a bike for long rides, the Aerox makes for a perfect choice that can do both relatively well
@@arjun230190 I spent 10k for the rear shocks, 6k for the disc, 3k for the tyre hugger and some small mods like stickers, luggage hook, handle grips, fork fluid were another 2k. They are not really available on any websites. As Varun said in the video, there are private people importing parts as lots, and I bought from one such seller. We have a whatsapp group where all of these parts and stuff is posted
This scooter is the best in the Indian market, hands down. The cons mentioned here are spot on, minus the front disc brake being inadequate in stock - at least from personal experience I've noticed it being very good and reliable, but don't have as much experience with bikes to judge accurately. The fuel tank upgrade is necessary for touring, but otherwise within city limits, this beast just flies majestically. While seeming bulky, it cuts through traffic and corners like butter. Also, once you ride this beauty - riding other scooters just doesn't feel right.
I really love this scooter, wish yamaha India did more publicity and better upgrades so everyone will buy n njy the product, also nt effecting the cost too much. Thanq powerdrit for this immensely helpful and guiding video on aerox 155.
What I really want is a bright red Aerox. Wish Yamaha hadn't limited their colour choices to the current ones. The blue one is good though. I will wait for the upcoming Yamaha updates (BS-VI RDE), already launched in the 150cc motorcycles and 125cc scooters; next for the Aerox and hoping that there would be substantial updates this time.
@@vyshakreghukumar995 Aprilia just doesn’t have an engine that can match the 155cc Liquid cooled yamaha engine. The current Sr160 is as good as it gets in the 160cc bracket. They do have a Sr200 GT, but that’s gonna cost substantially more and probability of them launching it here is very low

But recently Piaggio had announced that they would be revamping their entire portfolio, including launching more powerful engines to existing models, launch new models with bigger engines, more variety of scooters (like touring, etc). So I'm hoping to see Aprilia go all out and launch a scooter that can actually challenge the Aerox. Of course, one can be optimistic, right??? 😀

Proud owner of this beast in shape of Maxi-Scooter...it doesn't feel like Scooter while driving an eye turner on the roads. One more point i will add in things to be done in this Scooter is front shocks...they needed to be replaced asap...and rest can be later.❤❤

@@rakeshslathia007 Looks like you are referring to misfire. This happens if you have changed your air filter and possibly your exhaust. I had to replace the air filter back to stock due to misfire issues and also added an internal DB killer in the exhaust for increased reverse compression. I don't see any misfiring issues now.
I keep thrashing Yamaha India because I know that they can do a lot more in the market. I wonder if the MT-15 v2 2023 has any solutions for the stiff rear shocks & seat and left-hand switches because those are the only sore points of that great bike. This is the content that we need! Keep it coming PD! 💯

Came to Indonesia, they are an heaven accesories to aerox, for just look to perform even u can bore up engine till 180 or 220 cc... For engine package just search for BRT or TDR

@@vroombk Hi...there are so many brands which are very popular like RE's, KTM's, Yamaha's, Bajaj's etc...and either they have that modification quotient in them or there can be a scope of improvement as well...so all and all what we need videos over popular models in terms of their modifications (strictly legal) and improvements..for example Honda CB350 needs improvement in terms of seat, front light, a proper vizor, better brakes etc...you can also feature some bike owners having customized bikes for their different purposes i.e. comfort, off roading, touring, racing etc.
The one provided in the Yamaha accessories is a KYB one. It’s still on the stiffer side and not very good. Better to go for other options like RCB or YSS
@@vroombk Aware of that. An IMU with accelerometer chip costs INR 300. All you need to do is Connect it with the AUX lamps. Still no clue why the bikes don't have it, even as an optional accessory. 😐
I had the gen 1 aerox for 4 years. One of the best motorcycle/scooter that I owned. Unfortunately, I had to sell it since it is not back ride friendly, girlfriend is not comfortable when doing long ride. P.S. : Actually GF is just an excuse to buy the adv 160 😅

@@vroombk I have been getting an average of 44 , city and highway combined . I easily get about 200 on the stock tank, I fill up when it starts blinking. For someone like me , 300 on a 8 liter tank is quite possible actually
@@vroombk The secret to getting more mileage on CVTs is to accelerate fast. I know it sounds counterintuitive but you just gotta accelerate to whatever speed you want to cruise at plus another 5-10kmph. So for example if you want to cruise at 70, accelerate to 75 with maybe half throttle or more even, then decrease the throttle slowly to where you cruise at 70. This way you have the fun of accelerating fast and also extract max mileage 😂 I’m also using synthetic engine and gear oil on my Aerox , so that helps a bit with mileage and reduces all the vibrations
Wow 8 LTR tanks is an investment. But India has loads of bikes with Rear Dual suspension . Can we just Replace it with ..hm ...for reference something for Endurance line
If you can find something with 305mm length and same mounting brackets as the Aerox, sure you could do that. But I don’t think something like that available

The RCB shocks cost 20k, front disk costs 7k. Don’t remember how much the fuel tank was but I think something around 5k

I’d say something around 300 is what you would get
300 is way too optimistic. Expect around 250kms
