- Yamaha India surprised us by launching the new Aerox 155. The Aerox 155 is the fastest, quickest and among the most expensive scooters on sale in India. It is powered by the same engine as seen on the Yamaha R15 which makes it among the sportiest scooters on sale. The Aerox has a sharp and aggressive styling which is unlike any other scooter available currently.
The scooter rides on 14-inch alloy wheels and also boasts the widest tyre for any mainstream scooter. It’s also the only made in India scooter to feature VVA and liquid-cooling. Talking about features the Aerox 155 gets a LCD instrument console while a cubby hole and a USB charger is an optional extra. The Yamaha Aerox 155 doesn’t have any direct rivals and its closest competitor is the Aprilia SXR160. The Yamaha Aerox 155 is priced at Rs 1.29 lakh. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ

Price of this scooter is almost perfect.. excellent mileage..one of my friend bought this ..he is getting 42 km mileage in congested traffic.. biggest draw back are hard pillion seat, awkward footrest,low fuel capacity..if yahmah works on these aspect in future it sale figures will increase definitely .. though in Kolkata there is long waiting time to get this scooter..hope Honda will bring its adv 150 which is more practical for bad road conditions..

How does the suspension perform in rough roads ? Is it as bad as mentioned in the review ?
@@naveenv023 rear suspension is stiff and non adjustable. But front is damn good. I will be installing KYB suspension once it becomes available.
Hey I live in Chennai and I just visited Blue Square and there have just 2 Aerox's available in the city. 1 Monster MotoGP edition and 1 blue and gray.
I am very apprehensive about the small tank and ride quality. How much does a full tank cost you?

I think Yamaha have not fitted any proper rear suspension but fitted some iron spring. That's why they are already prepared with a proper suspension in the store for 17000 extra 😁😁😁😝😝
The crazy waiting period for the Aerox makes it a really big hit in India.
Now, it'd be great to see a scooter comparison which includes all the best ones, in terms of style, handling, mileage, features, performance, practicality as well as insane sales figures (Activa obviously 😂, as in why would people pick the Activa anytime over the others).

Not VFM? Absolutely don’t agree. I think a 15bhp liquid cooled engine with VVA is just brilliant for our city roads and occasional 100km rides for that tea/coffee on the highway.
P.S: I love the fact that a full face helmet fits. So my LS2 would fit. Probably the 1st ICE scooter in india to do so?
I think Yamaha has not done yet, becuase still there are a lot of Yamaha fan boys waiting for the XSR 155..............

Thank you Yamaha for designing the fuel lid externally in Yamaha Aerox 155.
An introduction of it's kind in the market is a job well done by Yamaha, hope we can see the TMAX and the NMAX in the upcoming years.
Finally front fueling without having to get off. Fuel capacity in most scooters are less making frequent trips to the 'indhan-padi'
BTW 'indhan-padi' is the new hindi word for a fuel station.

It lacks the comfort and utility of a scooter how can you call it perfect it's more blend of a scooter and a bike which mainly wins in performance and balance.

I've been facing an issue with my bike's idle rpm. I own a Mt 15 and have noticed that after riding bike for some distance when i turn it off and re start again. The idle rpm fluctuates between 1500-1750. It only happens when bike is warm and i start it again after some gap. I went to showroom but they say it's fine. Plz help me
Good honest review. Now I am happy with my Aprilia SR 150. Don't feel that I am missing out much. I think Yamaha has taken a bold decision and kudos to it. I hope they do the same on the MT-15 and beef it up to match the R15.

So far this is the most honest review of this Bikish scooter, which did not come up to my expectation, even though it is most powerful one in Indian markets.
After seeing this review, i dropped the idea of owning one.

Awesome Review ! Practicality in terms of ride quality, lack of foot space and poor breaking is a deal breaker considering you would spend most of the time grinding your way to work or for work.
What you said is true but really it's a scooter for the enthusiast and not the practical consumer.

At max, with what bike can aerox be compared to regarding its ride quality? I feel a weekend 200 km ride at 70-80 kmph on good roads, on this machine would be more fun than on my interceptor which is quite exhausting esp. when met with traffic.
U feel exhausted on Interceptor...lol, think about me, i ride continental gt 650 with lowered clipons and that too in heavy traffic🤧
The Yamaha Aerox 155 has a comfortable riding stance with centrally placed footpegs.
Not the most expensive, that throne is taken by BMW.
Price wise Aerox wins masses … BMW is for classy
C400 GT is expensive because it's imported. If you convert, it comes around 6lacs and that's ok given 350cc

Well i stay in Assam Meghalaya border Nh37 if u ever travel to shillong then u will know the road and for such road Aerox is best for me as i prefer automatic two wheelers.... in 10days the only thing that I dint like is it's rare brake....even if it's a drum brake i was expecting better braking like that we get in Aprilia Activa ntorq....😐

not carrying a gas cylinder is not a problem since many people find clutches to be cumbersome and prefer scooters instead. This one actually looks like a motorbike thats why I'm interested in it.
Just tie up the cylinder on the pillion seat.. problem solved.😄

Hi Arun, as you mentioned by spending additional amount of 17000 on suspension will it improve ride quality for touring on Indian roads. Can you please get that fit in your bike and do testing for the same. Plus in video touring and there is nothing about for pillion rider so add that in review
Sorry we dont the views already and no one will rewatch again just for suspension...you visit nearest showroom and do a test drive...for us its done already

Lets see if other foreign company make a 150cc scooter as powerful as this as beautiful and thought out as this, for a fact we know the aprilia is just a junk compared to aerox.
what exactly are you comparing it to.. a super bike that you rode? compare it to the already existing scooters in India, don't go back and forth like you''re on a swing.
And I want to add, The Aerox With The VVA, 14 inch with 140 wide tyres, 1850mm wheel base and effortless CVT, what else do you need in the 150cc category 2wheeler segment. Value for money is Super Great.
I too felt the same. The reviewer seems to be against the scooter right from the go. I have taken it for a test drive and awaiting a delivery. Trust me the suspension in rough roads is not as bad as he mentioned in the review.

@@neoaryan1266 I have taken test drive twice before booking it. Tbh the rear suspension is on the stiffer side but not as bad as mentioned in the review.

@@neoaryan1266 If you are considering aerox for a long drive I strongly recommend you to upgrade to a gas charged nitox suspension available as an accessory.

Quite stiff, but it doesn't demean this revolutionary scooter at all. This is great looking and great performance scooter ever with radical design which only Yamaha can produce.

The fuel efficiency numbers are bumped and impractical. Mileage test should be practical and daily drive, not the type that u try to intentiall get best mileage in the best conditions.

what was the weight driver when you test 0-80 acceleration and what was hight above seee level position dirver upright or lie down and uphill downhilll or on flat road ? overal very good scooter except almost like in motorcycle frame small tank and relatively weak breaks ., me dylan 125 without abs from 2003 on 99% beat 20,32 metres from real 60 km/h its 8,2 m/s"2 around one day i test it and put video on me channel aprillia have wrose acceleration but better brakes hm intresting almost 9 m/s"2 deceleration not bad .im do test from real 50 km/h on flat road on china tires without abs for beat 8,2 m/s i must go under 11,8 metres from 50 km/h .
