Stephen is probably at his best when interviewing John Oliver. He's more genuinely funny and energetic. I love him at most times, but this is just peak.
Probably has nothing to do with the fact they used to work on the same network (as well as for the same show host) at an earlier point in their careers.
They really bring out the best in each other.
Yes! John Oliver, Steve Carell and Jon Stewart. When Stephen Colbert interviews them, you can clearly tell that they are friends, and it helps that they are all incredibly funny people!

@@tanmoysd2721 In the show he played a fake right wing nationalist with so much satire some right wingers even thought it was real. Here he has the same type of behavior,but a completely different message and style. You can see his other TV and acting skills on display with his actual personality more aswell which I'm pretty sure is how he got this job. There are clips of the old show on youtube if you want to see for yourself.

To be fair though, my city in Canada literally holds an event every year called “Mosaic” where cultures from all around the world share their dances, foods, traditional clothing and art, etc.
Thank goodness for the differences between Canada and the US.

A John Oliver interview is just one long improv bit. He does so well with Colbert because they’re both committed to it and play it out until they realize they have to get on with the real interview ... but then they’re back in another bit before we know it!
Jurgen Klopp is amazing and everyone should love him.
As a lifelong United fan it's painful to admit how right John is and how great Liverpool have been this season and how much I love Klopp / wish he was our manager 🥺

I think Oliver has more freedom on his show. Plus he doesn't have guests he has to find chemistry with or cater to. Stev struggled with that when he first started this show. Colbert I would say is more talented overall

He did a sketch for the Daily Show where he was in South Africa prior to them hosting the world cup. He played football against some kids and scored an absolute pigeon. Real skills.

To those who dont folo "soccer", Liverpool has managed to win an unbelievable 100 out of 102 points since they last lost a Premier league game which was over a year ago.. They have established a 22 points lead over nearest rival, ManCity, the biggest lead ever in premier league history and is projected to win the league by end of March 2020..that's 2 months before the season is scheduled to end.. They are still on course to defend their Champions league title and and are still in the English FA Cup despite fielding their B team and kids (under 20's on average) in some of the fixtures

Some dodgy old spelling there but yeah, it’s been a joy to have Klopp in the Premiership. It’s been great watching Liverpool go about their business, especially this season. They fully deserve the win.
The rest of the league are all over the place and it’s certainly been interesting, but there’s no real competition for them. I know this all too well being a lifelong Gooner 😔.
