An ok introduction video into a billiard pool, seeing how I train professionally under a guy who's been on 10 european championships and won a few regional tournaments, I agree with lot of things you said. However, some things to add! Regarding stance, when starting off, you are not going to be comfortable using it, at all. Everything is going to be messed up, funky, strange, straining and mind boggling how can you even play like that. But you need to keep at it, because it's the 'proper' form to play, best if you have a coach who knows what he's doing. Mind remembers your actions, repetition and practice, practice, practice is the key. The most important thing about billiard pool, aside from all the stance, stroke and bridges and whatnot, is the head and how cool can you keep it under the pressure... And most important, billiard pool is played with feeling, not brute force ^^ The power of the shot comes from final stroke after a short pause, a momentum if you will, depending on how long of a swing you pull. Also, you never shoot a ball unless you do a proper prep. Depending on ball difficulty , minimum of 3-5 strokes is a must to get into a focus. Without focus, there's no point in playing pool. As for straight shoot practice, the bottle is fine, but you can easily practice by using cue ball, shooting it across the table against the rail, and if you shoot straight, the cue ball will return to your cue stick. Just my 2 cents what I wanted to know when I started out.

Thanks for the tips venom, for my bridge hand I use the spider I helps me aim better before I didn't have a very good bridge hand and this bridge hand has helped me out a lot know I am able to make terrific shots in pool. Hi, when you step into the shot, you are not telling which foot goes straight to the aiming line. Is it the left foot or the right foot, when you are ready to aim at the shot. Thanks
i think u should covered the arm and shoulder alignment a little more maybe a way for people to check beyond the simple try to keep it straight. i for a while thought it to be straight and winded up discovering via a simple alignment training aid it wasnt. it improved shot making more then words could describe.
I saw no mention of the forearm position relative to the floor at instant of que tip contact with que ball? Should it be perpendicular to the floor when tip is inches behind, in front of or at que ball point of impact? Or does it even matter?
i'm by no means a beginner pool player, but i feel like i truly need to spend good time in the fundamentals aspect of the game. i want to be way better than i am now, so i practice english and pattern play and attempt safeties but slowing down is hard :/
