    Excellent intro showing the different things to focus on as you grow in confidence. One thing I'd say is beyond the basics beginners need to be aware that table quality can greatly effect shots, some old tables may have compacted banks leading to a lot of power loss when playing bank shots and sometimes ruining the angles; also masse and jump shots require a decent thickness to the table cloth, without it such shots are almost impossible and very frustrating to practice.
    Mind you misplaying Masse and jump shots can result in damaging the cloth so a lot of places ban them.

    Pretty good. I shouldn't critique someone as good as him, but he probably wasn't the person doing the break shots. Except for certain games, you need to control the cue ball during the break and hope the cue ball stops near the center of the table. You don't want the cue ball out of control and falling in to a pocket. And if the ball is in the middle of the table you should have more options after the break. When you can break really hard and the balls stops near the center of the table without hitting a rail, you know you are doing pretty good.

    I’m both a juggler and a magician. I LOVE pool. It’s Circus and Magic in the same moment: The performer announces a trick and achieves it, but then the cue ball changes direction and somehow lines up for the next shot, like magic!

    Nice insight! But you forget to mention that there's a throw effect to the target ball when you hit the cue ball with a side spin. The direction of the target ball is slightly different compare to a shot without side spin. Using left spin on the cue ball will throw the target ball a little bit more to the right than without adding side spin, and vice versa.

    • @tonyrobles9070
      @tonyrobles9070 2 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      Hi Minor Voices,
      This is true! It also depends on how clean/dirty the balls are. The dirtier they are the more it'll throw and vice-versa.
      Thanks so much for your input and have a great day! 👍 😊 🎱
