Thanks for video. Can you please make a video on how to make shots when the intended coloured ball is on the cushion. Like aligned to the side cushion and you've to play a ridiculous angle to get in the pocket. when i play these shots I try to use spin while kicking the cue slightly behind the intended ball. And one on how to make shots when there is limited space to keep your hand on that felt. Like what grip is more stable and such.

    Hello Venom,
what cue would you recommend for a starter on a small budget? I'm thinking of buying a cue, but there are so many and i don't know what to get.

Yan Bär I bought a Pure X HXTE5. It's a great cue for a reasonable price, It's under 200. And it has a low deflection shaft, low deflection ferruel and a soft kamui black tip.(I think you're getting the most bang for ur buck) U can also buy a Cuetec r360 cue. It's just about the same price it also has a low deflection shaft. Idk if you have ever heard of Shane Van Boening, but he's one of the best pool players in the world and he uses that r360 cue.(That's gonna be my next purchase.) Good luck out there.

Buddy Love A cue for most is a one time buy, at least for quite some time. You should get a quality stick to start out. Quality doesn't mean expensive. Most all cues are sold M.A.P sold. ( minimum advertised price ) meaning same stick is sold for the same price no matter where you go. And most all cues are grossly overpriced ( such as the predator line ) However with all that b n said if you want a REALLY nice hitting stick for the minimum amount of money that will last you for many years to come i will give you a couple that are gr8 options that i know about from experience. J. Pechauer has some really nice cues for under 400 and ( even tho i said otherwise earlier ) the predator roadline series are nice hitting cues for about 450 to 500. IMO if you don't go with something like these two I've mentioned ( or a brand / cue maker ) that is at least equal to these it really doesn't matter what you go with. Lots of folks will disagree, this is just my two bits worth to try and help. You don't want to spend 250 on a stick and then b unhappy with it. Buy quality

Buddy Love oops sorry, meant that for Yan Bär

Thanks for the recommendations, but i don't have 400+ just laying around for a cue so i'd rather go with the options for around 200. As i'm studying, i only have limited time to work so there's not too much income and that is better spent on other things

What is your opinion on blocking pockets with your own balls? Aka If you know you cannot run the table (due to skill or placement) and one of your balls is sitting right in front of a pocket. Would it be wiser to take the easy shot and sink the ball or leave it alone for a while limiting the pockets your opponent has to (easily) sink a ball into?

Quick question, If with the break in a game of eight ball you sink both a striped and a solid ball, which do you have to continue with?

Should of played this kid when he was in town . He's very composed n plays at very high level due to non stop practicing . That's the kinda player I like to battle . Not saying I would win , he don't make mistakes or hand over any opportunity to his opponent I'm sure
