    Good job, nice test & vid on the Kings gear & 200A lifepo4 battery. Kings do have some decent stuff, contrary to much belief. Their lithium batteries seem to be pretty good from what I have researched & probly best bang for buck atm, their fridges and inverters are pretty awesome for the price point if you get them on a special sale also.
    I bought 2 of these 200A lithiums a week apart recently and received a black top battery first & then a blue top was the second. The black top is as the stated specs onsite with continuous charge & discharge of 150A & a 10 second burst of 300A, a recessed post at each end & is 21.5kg. The blue top is a newer model I believe, it’s about 40mm wider with protruding posts at one end and weighed 20.7kg, 800gms lighter than the black top but the BMS is as you have shown a 200A continuous with a 240A (5 seconds) surge, so more continuous grunt but less surge ability, (supposedly)
    I like the prismatic cells Kings use in the 120A Lithiums & I have seen them pull 170A for several minutes even tho they’re rated at 120A continuous & 150A surge, so I know they’re good & they pulled way over the 120AH at 128A+.
    Kings dropped the Lolly a bit with the 300A battery tho, as they have the same BMS as the 1st gen 200A batteries & can only discharge at 150A continuous which is a bit sucky I feel for a battery this size, they should be able to accomodate a 3kw inverter with 250A continuously, maybe they will have a new 300A model soon that will be at least 200A or more continuous output.
    My pick of this bunch, (depending on how much power you want/need) I like the primatic cells of the 120A model & its proven it can put out a decent bit of grunt, so I think it is good value in itself if you dont need the larger power requirements as it can run an induction cooker no worries.
    However, I would tend to steer people toward 1 or 2, 200A bluetop lithiums rather than the 300A model, & even 2 x 120A batteries would be cheaper for twice the current output of one 300A battery. Just my thoughts, also depending on the situation.
    I think the lithiums can all be in a 4s4p situation for 48v use, which is a big benefit & makes them about half the price of any of their server rack style competitors for the power output, negating the fact you will need extra cabling & maybe a all in one 4 x 12v balancing unit to help keep it all in check when in 48v series connected. These balancing units are not very expensive on Flea-bay, whatever, & can do up to 4 x 12v batteries at once, in series or parallel.
    Interesting setups you have there, I like the EVE cells, (not what happened to them tho), but the Kings seem to be a quick, cheap, decent drop-in at a good price for the average Joe.
    Enjoying ur vids, & good to see you give these batteries a decent workout. Cheers

      Hey mate, thanks a lot for this comment absolutely love the eve cells aswell, also, have had a chance to film a video on the new 300ah version with better BMS and that one is actually really surprising aswell, hopefully that video will be up soon too. Thanks heaps for watching 😊👍

    (I commented on the 300AH video - I watched that first) - the 300AHs say they are 4x series capable for a 48V syatem (I haven't bought any newer 200Ah to see what the stickers say - it seems Kings put more details on the stickers than in their info page).
    At 12V (I have a Renogy 3kW inverter-charger on a 4x200Ah parallel bank) - basically, unless one wants (spend up) to parallel 100A charge controllers, solar input rate peaks out at around 1200W on 12V (Renogy don't yet - appear to - have a 48V 3+kW inverter for the Australian market, Growatt is probably the serious alternative - or spend up for Victron.)

    Good solid test results mate, I’m satisfied king’s batteries and inverters are good, im going 3x120ah lithium at this stage can hook up to 4, and 3000w inverter. I understand batteries in series need a 12v charger each for balanced charging?

    • @WEEKENDER4X4
      @WEEKENDER4X4  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea mate pretty sure that's how the balance properly but I'm still researching how to do it

    • @evil17
      @evil17 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WEEKENDER4X4 hadn’t considered charging a 48v setup with these, I thought you could still use a AIO system for charging at 56v. You can get a single unit of 4 x 12v balancers which should keep it all balanced, I used a 24v balancer (2 x 12v battery system) on 2 x 16v Maxwell caps I have in a bus near the inverter for extra grunt & filtering ripple, & it seems to work a treat at keeping the capacitors closely balanced, otherwise they could run 1 @ 16v while the other (in series) was only @ 10-11v.

      It's highly debatable, I like the prismatic cells as I have built quite a few of them. But now these kings batteries are more affordable than buying the cells from Ali express and having them shipped over, plus BMS cost and battery case cost.
