Hi Mark. Ive just found your video and you are going ok, but if you look at the tip of your bar you will find a tiny hole! This is for the grease to be applied for when operating the saw. The bar you have now is not a rollermatic by sthil, it looks aftermarket. You can buy the grease gun on line, so to grease the end roller each time before use. This way it won't sieve on you when it gets to hot. I hope this helps?
I’m quite sure you’ve remembered by now, but just thought I should say the guide bar is called a guide bar (or just a bar) and the chain is obviously a chain as you’ve said. Although I’m not one to be pretentious if you were to call it a blade
Hi Mark, im looking at getting a chainsaw. For mainly prepping firewood at our vase camp. I was thinking the stihl 171. How do you find it. Is it a good saw. I was also looking at the Husqvarna 130.
