There’s a speculative hypothesis that Sev is actually the NPC clone Mort in Star Wars Galaxies, who sends you on a revenge mission to defeat his former commander in exchange for a set of Katarn Armor. The names and details have changed as the games came out around the same time, but Mort had a similar origin story where he was left for dead on Kashyyyk and was eventually rescued only to end up having experiments performed on him. Headcanon is fun.
i dont like how EA mis designed the helmet and put a fucking squeeky toy noise for the DC-17m like several other blasters like these mellenials are afraid of low pitch noises.
Wouldn’t it be amazing if an animated series was made about Delta squad? It could show all the events from the Battle of Geonosis and other missions and also include extra details not shown in the games. It could also show the missions not shown in the games and the events after the game ends that we never saw. It would be an awesome story.
Had it not been cancelled when Republic Commando was still in development before being released in 2005, Rebel Commando would have focused on Sev's rescue from Kashyyyk and how he was serving his time as a member of the Rebel Alliance. According to what I saw on the Star Wars wiki about Rebel Commando, that's what the game would have been about, but I don't know for sure if it was to take place during the Imperial Era leading up to the Galactic Civil War, or if it would take place immediately after the events of The Force Unleashed when the Rebel Alliance was created. But a man can dream. Additionally, I also have a Republic Commando head canon of my own in regards to Sev's fate. In it, Delta Squad does rescue Sev from Kashyyyk and they continue to stay in service to the Empire for a little while longer before deciding to defect from the Empire and retreat to Mandalore and ponder their next move. And this is why I never watched Clone Wars 2008 or The Bad Batch, because stories from the Disney canon these days totally take away what was already perfect from Legends, and the Republic Commando series and the history of some of the Republic's elite units like Delta Squad and Omega Squad are just a few examples of them.
It gets better, these episodes were made out of order in 2008’s TCW so, good luck sorting these nonsense out. If I were me, I’d replace it with something new that retains the newcomers from TCW, but instead was made as side stories.
Could you imagine a sequel, where you play as Imperial Stormtrooper Commandos, taking orders from Vader himself? Imagine, you get the orders to stop a rebel cell, and when you eventually engage them, find out Sev not only survived, but was spear heading the rebel cell? That would have been amazing.
My assumption about Sev's fate is that he was most likely either captured by The CIS and escaped some time later when the war ended, or he refused to be taken prisoner and was killed by overwhelming Droid Forces
In a reddit AMA, the game developers revealed that one of their plot points for what was going to be Republic Commando II was that Sev survived and was eventually found and went on to train special forces for the rebel alliance. Hence why I included it.
