Dave filoni hates Karen Travis and is trying to erase all the work she put into Star Wars, cause she wrote mandos and clones way better then he ever could
This is absolute perfection. It is a shame we will likely never get another Republic Commando game... but I more or less have a good concept on how it would be done. READERS, BE WARNED: It is a wall of text. 1: Your work. Or rather, your design, your graphics. This would be the foundation for the new game, this is the style that would be used. 2: Mild alterations to the intro - mainly, voice work, tiny edit to Taun We. And add the relevant clone voices. Possibly extend the intro a few seconds to allow Delta 07 to run into an LAAT, as well as 62, and 40 giving that classic quote, but sounding either more like Temuera Morrison, or Dee Bradley Baker. 2: The overall same missions on Geonosis. Redesigned to more accurately reflect current lore and the layouts. Arena and either we go after Sun Fac or a new name for a new Geonosian, still largely the same mission, and then the droid factory. The main battle took an hour or two, I'd say, in canon, once the GAR arrives. The rest is just mop-up, which begins with the droid factory. By the time Delta Squad goes after the Core Ship, the droid army is in full retreat, but this core ship is stuck on planet, and this is where the game properly deviates from the original - likely, a shutdown code for the remaining droids on Geonosis - though in canon, they get reactivated some months later around the time of the Clone Wars Episode arc on Geonosis in Season 2. 4: FULL NEW GAME BEGINS HERE. From this point, Delta Squad gets assigned to the Acclamator Class Assault Ship Prosecutor, but it is different to the rest of them - it is a command hub for Clone Commando's and several GAR Black Ops operations. The exterior is slightly different, the interior is very different compared to a regular Acclamator. From the Bridge the ship can be relocated to different sectors of the galaxy, and elsewhere is a command center where you get a list of operations to choose from - one for Delta Squad, and one for other Clone Black Ops squads - most which aren't commandos. As their missions are completed (with a risk of failure), you get funds and points to add upgrades to the other squads, the ship, and Delta Squad itself. It'll be a bit more arcade-like game this time around - though the combat the player experience is very similar to the original game - and thus, even the easiest difficulty can at times feel like max difficulty, just like the original. 5: About 20% of the game's missions will be locked to always happen at a certain point in time, relative to the canon timeline. 5-10 missions (possible game design option, up for debate if this game was actually being made) can be selected between these timeline-locked missions, as well as sending other squads off to their own operations. After a certain amount of missions have been completed, a timelocked mission will begin, the first being very similar to the second mission group in the original game. The Prosecutor will be reported as entering some dangerous area and then go missing. Delta will go on a mission to gather information around the area where the ship vanished, but the data will take time to analyze. Then, the Prosecutor will be rediscovered a month later in a part of the galaxy where it absolutely shouldn't be with very minor external damage. Then Delta will need to gather data from the ship, and most of the mission happens like in the original, though with some significant differences being likely, like different enemies than Trandoshans, or it's them and someone else along with CIS forces, ending pretty much the same way - a narrow victory and saving the ship. 6: More freely chosen missions, and then there will be 4-6 timelocked missions more, the 6ths being the final one of the game, and there is an epilogue that takes place a couple months before Revenge of the Sith. 7: A significant difference is that this total remake would/should include a co-op mode for single-player, and co-op multiplayer missions as well, as well as multiplayer like in the original game, and a multiplayer segment similar to Sniper Elite, fending off waves of enemy forces. Multiplayer also has one mode where you play as the Black Ops Clones or other Commando squads, including some one-off missions. 8: STARFIGHTER/SHIPCOMBAT! Yes, space combat will be involved in this remake. Both with fighters and with gunships, like the LAAT, as well as flying in-atmosphere or from space, through the atmosphere, a short dogfight or avoiding enemy fighters, then deploying groundside. A few missions will take place on enemy ships, like a full Lucrehulk being one of the longest story/time-locked missions that will take place. A few will also be small or large fleet battles, where the Commandos must cripple a CIS ship mid-combat to tip the battle in favour of the Republic. These are the basics for a true successor to the original Republic Commando. And either a sequel or a big DLC, but best a sequel: IMPERIAL COMMANDO. And unlike EA's Battlefront 2, you STICK to the Imperial Side, you do not just go full Rebel 3 missions into the game. Either that, or we get REBEL COMMANDO, where it does go from Imperial to Rebel Commando. Either canon or non-canon that could still fit into canon. Republic Commando absolutely deserves a full revival, and I really REALLY hope something along this massive post does happen. We really need a proper Republic Commando, and a lot of people want it to happen, and very much hopes so. Hopefully, your work will inspire someone to get the job done and Disney will allow for it to happen. FOR THE REPUBLIC!
@@TronWorksHonestly even if you couldn’t get them running to the ship, it would have been cool if you had the ship land in between our POV and the commando loading onto their ship. Coruscant, birthplace of the Taung, the galaxy's most fearsome warriors. Their legacy echoes through the ages, shaping the indomitable spirit of the Mandalorians. In the fires of the Clone Wars, whispers spoke of Jango Fett's cloned warriors, embodying the ancient souls of the Taung. They unleashed a relentless storm of power and skill, marking a final grand show of strength upon the universe's battlefields.
It's a paraphrased translation of the key song "Vode An" from Mandalorian to English with some hints from "Dah Werda Verda" for the backstory. Still some fantastic pieces of music.
You should see the Taung's origins in the Supernatural Encounters novella. They were actually a peace-loving species that lived on Notron (Coruscant's ancient name), up until humans seemingly from another dimension (implied to be the very same one on THX-1138; long story on that) showed up to ruin things via false flag attacks and other sins.

This is probably the best concept for a remake I have ever seen.
I never realized how much I needed a remake of this game until now...
FOR THE REPUBLIC!
kinda disapointed there is no "load the ammo and the ordinance lets go lets go!"
but phenominal none the less
Glad you like it! I wasn't sure that I will be able to pull animations on the needed quality level, so I just made some changes to the scene 😅
Dude I was thinking the exact same thing. Damn I wish they'd make a sequel but honestly I have a feeling the current IP holder would fuck us over.
@@TronWorksHonestly even if you couldn’t get them running to the ship, it would have been cool if you had the ship land in between our POV and the commando loading onto their ship. That way the scene is preserved, and it also avoids needing to animate them getting into the ship
Also I wouldn’t oppose the ship fully landing and they just walk onto the ship
@@TronWorks Perhaps just adding the dialogue in the background to give the military vibe. Awesome work by the way.
Thinking the same thing! Also: "Sir, we're gonna split up for the drop, but we'll meet you at the RV on Geonosis! See you planetside, sir!" 🙂
I’d want to play this remake the instant it comes out
Amazing. Vode an!
Thanks!
We need a remaster of this game, is one of the best Star Wars shooters ever, and the soundtrack is superb!!
Simply beautiful, thank you so much for the amazing effort you put into this, If there's ever a remaster of RC, I wish that they contact you for sure, as Star wars needs people with this level of love and passion now more than ever
Thank you, I appretiate it!
Very impressed you’ve kept ahead massively from WoofWoofWolfe’s version. Kaminoans in particular look amazing.
Besides KOTOR, this is the game I want to get this treatment the most! Excellent job!
Jedy Academy 2 is cool as well!
@@TronWorksYes I would love a remaster/remake of that one as well.
I would love to see this remake to this game
This is freaking insane, amazing job!
How impressive the great army of the republic looks in this remastering
Man, this is 99.9% perfect. I really missed the "I see you on Geenosis"
A Remake for the 20th anniversary would be all I need.
Thanks for showing how it could look like today.
Thank you for checking it out
this was just soo good, i remember playing this th e week it came out and man it was good then but wow to replay it with these visuals ohhh that would be epic.
glad you like it!
1:09 it's little details like this, that I hugely appreciate
The commandos look absolutely class. Love the subtle design changes you went with absolutely class
glad you like it!
The best game of all time
Glad you like it!
I was Almost waiting for the game to start, Amazing! May the Force be with you!
Too bad well NEVER get a Star Wars game that looks like this. R.I.P Star Wars
WOW GREAT JOB!!!!! I just couldnt move my hands off the keyboard.. when it started.. it made me feel like it was a real fullgame remake! AMAZING JOB! DUDE, Cant SOMEONE REMAKE THE FULL GAME?! WHY CANT THEY!!!!
You are too kind, thank you!
This should be sent to a game studio somewhere as a proof of concept. There is 100% a market for a republic commando remake. Keep the fantastic audio (music, sounds, dialog) but redesign some of the area's and give it this graphical treatment. Would sell like hotcakes!
Absolutely brilliant! Made me very nostalgic for when I first played the game, a long time ago. Incredible work!
Thank you a lot
I really would love a remake and a continuation of this game
Kudos to you for ignoring the Bad Batch, don't get me wrong, I love the work Dave Filoni does, but he did Delta Squad and the Commandoes a grave injustice making them less than the "batch" which tried to replace their story essentially. Keep up the great work!
He took a big wet shit on a bunch of fantastic lore, but he’s still “not that bad” 🤦
Typical Star Wars fanboi… you know the IP is being ruined, but still can’t manage to figure out that’s a bad thing.
@@lucaschudleigh7193 Dave FIloni has been the head of the snake that twists the spirit of the saga for the last ten years, and here we are, some are still clueless. he has been literally the perfect fit with Disney from the start.
We need this!
Just beautiful, an incredible work that really brought back great memories from the game. I hope one day they'll make a new one..
glad you like it!
This looks so good! Tbh I'd take a full remaster of this game over SW Outlaws
You are the person these studios need to hire. Not these insane people with agendas. People with true passion for the IP
Fiiiiine. I'll play it this year for a third time.
Noticed the AT-TEs at the end were sliding a bit on the ground
It’s slippery on those Kamino platforms!
@@OptimusTrooper haha, indeed
Could be more problematic if they were prototype AT-ATs, haha.
This is amazing. Literally amazing. If there were a way to brighten the troop army at the end to make them more visible, that would be sick
1:40 - Raph, Leo, and Mikey?
Yep, I also see ODST there
Why we can't have more of this, is beyond me. It might have not been a super popular game, but come on man, they drop a freaking banger and then don't follow up with the cliffhanger ending, that's just a kick in the balls.
This beautiful cutscene makes me want either a remaster or a remake of this glorious game more than ever 😭😭😭
The walker looks like they walking on slippery floor but god damn the visual is stunning . great work my guy
VODE AN
What is this from?
It's a paraphrased translation of the key song "Vode An" from Mandalorian to English with some hints from "Dah Werda Verda" for the backstory.
Still some fantastic pieces of music.
@@thedatatreader Correct! Sa kyr'am nau tracyn kad, Vode an!
Excellent remake!
Wish we got the part where Fixer talks to you before you all depart, but looks great!
I still believe this game DESERVES a remake.
Even if it was just the single player missions.
The gameplay doesnt even really need an update, just the visuals mostly.
Hey, give these guys the opportunity to participate in the development of a remake of the game! This is great work! You guys are great! 💯💯💯 🔥🔥🔥🔥
thank you very much!
Can we just appreciate the spider droid moving like the mastermind from doom ? Those sharp and organic moves typical of a droid from the movie and not like a quadrupedal tank ,that was awesome .Also : the filter as part of the helmet ,bro ....this is gold
They grow up so fast
This is beautiful
Speechless! Amazing work. Now I want the whole game 😂
I was expecting the comm chatter on the last scene.
Glad you like it! I wasn't a fan of this chatter, so I didn't add it in my version
The rain effects are nothing short of astonishing! Especially the effects on the Republic Gunship, and how the raindrops land and slither down the sides, and the plexiglass of the turret.
Anyone else catch the "Kyyyyaa" at 00:21 from Lego stars wars lmao
That sound was also in original intro to RC.
@@wojtek561 really 😂😂😂
@@wojtek561 yep, just cut it from the game haha
Could make a movie out of this. You brought back some cherished memories. :)
maaan with this i wish for 2 things, a remake of this game. and a canon alternate universe where the clones never were turned evil and they were the early rebels x( THE CLONES NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED
You should watch The Clone Wars, Rebels and The Bad Batch.
@@fosty. I have? did you misread what i meant?
@@NightKolm Yes. They are the early rebels.
@@fosty. Thought all we had were Rex gregor and wolffe? (havent watched season 3 of bad batch yet to be actually honest. but thought it was them getting out of MT Tantis) I should elaborate though, i was hoping they could remove the inihibitor chips neigh-instantly and keep kamino. never shown to go down their bad route... though that doesnt make good storytelling, i just love my clones, the empire never deserved em
@@NightKolm You should check out season 3 before you come across any spoilers.
Gave me the chills, man this is impressive! Great job!
thank you!
The Bad Batch: Lets turn them into trash because yes
Yeah ngl. I had hopes for the BB and it was a good show, but the second season killed any traction.
@@MrJakeros what did you lot like about bad batch?
The only thing worse than Disney Star Wars is 'people' like yourself who still consoom that slop. Stop giving your time and money to Disney.
@@TheAnonymousIndividual i dropped TBB at that point, and i no longer pay Disney+ so i don't get your point fam
@@Fulcrox "I originally watched the show and had a Disney+ account, but I don't anymore, so I'm not apart of the problem!"
Lol, yeah you are, you still gave them viewership and money. Can't relate, nor will I ever. Haven't watched any of the Disney crap beyond The Farce Engorges.
-sit down to eat dinner and watch a quick video
-dinner gets cold cause I've rewatched the short video 10 times
Almost feels like a sci-fi horror sim. The haunting voice, the clone soldiers raised from birth to kill and die for the government. Brutal.
I’m still waiting to save my brother Sev. 07 you haven’t been forgotten, just waiting on orders
Stunning, the setting, staying true to the designs, the music, pacing - you've captured what made the original lore of Star Wars amazing. Thank you!
Zemper here, man do I miss the glory days of this in multiplayer. This was one of the few games I played to the point of being a top player in the community. Few games have ever been as good and as fun as this was. Would love to see the full game remade even if it was only to do the solo missions.
“Sir. We’re gonna split up for the drop but we’ll meet at the RV on Geonosis. See you planet-side, sir.”
- Fixer
Got major chills watching this, just like the first time. That scene where you're waiting for your LA-AT, taking it all in while the music crescendos.... Damn good work brother.
This is one of my all time favorite games and I would KILL for a full on remake of this wonderful game!
Great job on the intro!
This is beautiful!! One of the best SW (and FPS) games ever.
It really. really needs a remake without changing much.
Those 3 minutes evoke more emotion than EVERYTHING Disney has done since buying the franchise.
Seeing the first person view of the spider droid scene has me on my knees for a remaster. I cant die till I see it.
This game ruled! It still reigns as one of the most underrated games of all time!
Great stuff dude!
If they ever did a Republic Commando remake they need to hire you man, this was just beautiful and what id expect from a next gen looking game.
this is soooo sick
One of the most underrated games, this game didn’t go anywhere cuz the online play didn’t have a leaderboard
Since the first time I finished Republic commando, I pray everyday for a RC 2 or so, longer, with more features/mechanics, through all the ages of SW universe, well story-driven and with actual graphics.
I guess I still have a lot of candles to light.
I've never played Republic Commando, personally, though I own it. Now I don't know if I'll ever be able to because I'm sure it won't look as good as this.
