I've always had sony and loved having crazy cameras videos and 4k when my friends don't even realise sony have phones or flagships, had them since Walkmans all the way to my current Xperia XZ2 Premium. Trust me when I say the standard in ear headphones that come with the Sony phones that inself is better than most £80 headphones u know. People just don't see a item but instead they fall for marketing and go with Samsung and iPhone
"Fall for marketing" samsung have worked their ass off, and for the start of the touch screen era were in iPhone shadow. So I don't think it's about falling for marketing, Samsung have got some serious hardware and beautiful design. Sony needs to go bezel- less and that fingerprint sensor should have been in display. I see these comments and dont get it. Like, I have the xperia 1 ii, its my daily driver, I love it. But the other day I did hold and play around on a mates iphone 11 pro, i can totally see why people go iphone. The UI and screen were incredibly, a solid notch above the sony, and it felt much more premium in the hand. Honestly, I preferred it in almost every way, but I like the photo pro app on xpera.

But I haven't heard of any studies proving that standpoint. Jonas Becker I love the head phone jack. But most phones that have radio in them, require connecting the ear phone to act as an antenna. So for all purposes, I feel I am attracting more radiations while streaming with ear phones.
I remember when they were with Ericsson they designed an amazing phone that was small to fit the hand and it will flip like the Motorola Razor. That little Chomp was a beast in the music department, sound quality was amazing. I will definitely consider this one if I get a chance just because they kept the original staff while upping their game - I am a big fan of the headphone jack period!

I had the Z5 Premium, and the XZ Premium, and am on an XZ2 Premium. I had the first 4K phone, the first 4K HDR phone. And they all have 800ppi which is higher than this one. Absolutely gonna buy the Xperia 1II
I have had my SONY Xperia 1 mark ii for about 1 week and I absolutely love it. The screen is stunning, and the cameras really are fantastic. The two very loud front facing stereo speakers are a lovely bonus too. I could not be happier with this phone.
Sony always goes with something out of the box. And that's what I love about this brand, they do what they want without looking at what's trending - a Sony user

I've been using Sony for more than 9 years now. I had the Sony Ericson, then Sony Xperia Z1 and now I'm on Sony Xperia XZ Premium. I've not even know, tried or even needed any other phones in my life cause the Sony experience is so clean, smooth, simple and immersive that it just blends with your life in the easiest possible way. I've never had a worry abt rains since I got my Xperia Z1(2014), I have been shooting underwater photos and videos since then. 960fps was introduced here first and I think it is one of the coolest feature out there. I would have loved to pre-order this like I pre-ordered my Xperia Z1 and XZ Premium but unfortunately Sony had stopped selling mobile phones in India. I have to try and get this from outside cause this is gonna be my next dream phone ❤️

Nothing beats the experience of watching TH-cam videos in 4k. People don't understand that the higher the resolution, the higher the bitrate and I've never seen any other phone play videos as clean and lifelike on the XZ Premium
If Sony finally figures out how to consolidate their power in gaming, photography, audio, and TVs in one phone, and use stock Android, they'd probably have the best phone arguably.

XZ Premium has true UHD 4K resolution (2160 x 3840). Xperia 1 II doesn't have that full UHD 4K resolution aka it barely has 6 million pixels. (Just FYI.)

Huh I was really excited about the Xperia 5 too, I knew I was going to hate it for some of its quirks, and I do, but I also really love it, for the screen, the desing and the battery management.
Still using a docomo mint green z3. Picked it up for 50 bucks. ive been on 3 z3s for the past 3 years. New tech is nice, but youd be surprised what 50 bucks can get you nowadays.
Tbh I would like to give Sony another go but the last 2 phones and some Xperia phones in my family have all had this same problem, where it turns really hot sometimes when used, kinda normal the first few months then it starts dying slowly over time untill when the phone gets hot even fully charged it goes 20-15-10% then die without warning.
Adam A-K He is saying that because it is a 4k screen, the battery usage is going to be high, which means 4000 mah is quite tiny in comparison to it, not the actual size of the screen that is tiny.
Lew geeking over this phone reminds me of the old channel when he really cared about the device in front. The passion in this video man, I love it! Seems like Lew is going to have fun. He's a real camera nerd and this phone is perfectly aimed at it's intended demographic. Another channel called "Art of photography" really likes this phone too. SONY is doing great tackling it's target audience.
I truly hope they get the attention and sales they deserve with this phone. Xperias are very well built, and if not for their apparent obsolescence in other areas, I would have considered to try switching from Galaxy Notes to them. The fact that they're focusing on cameras reminds me of the Sony Ericson days, when they had a line of "cameras with a phone embedded" philosophy. If I were in the market for a new phone (and had the dough to remorselessly buy it), this one would be in my list.

Watching this on my Nokia 9 Pureview, which knows its days of having an active SIM card are numbered. This phone looks like a true "mobile camera", an endeavour which proved too arduous for Nokia. Last Xperia phone i had was the Z5P, can't wait to get back into Sony-land. Glad to see that the company finally got its different arms to collaborate on their mobile initiative, it's about time.

I have had my SONY Xperia 1 mark ii for about 1 week and I absolutely love it. The screen is stunning, and the cameras really are fantastic. The two very loud front facing stereo speakers are a lovely bonus too. I could not be happier with this phone.

I've been using Sony for more than 9 years now. I had the Sony Ericson, then Sony Xperia Z1 and now I'm on Sony Xperia XZ Premium. I've not even know, tried or even needed any other phones in my life cause the Sony experience is so clean, smooth, simple and immersive that it just blends with your life in the easiest possible way. I've never had a worry abt rains since I got my Xperia Z1(2014), I have been shooting underwater photos and videos since then. 960fps was introduced here first and I think it is one of the coolest feature out there. I would have loved to pre-order this like I pre-ordered my Xperia Z1 and XZ Premium but unfortunately Sony had stopped selling mobile phones in India. I have to try and get this from outside cause this is gonna be my next dream phone ❤️

Nothing beats the experience of watching TH-cam videos in 4k. People don't understand that the higher the resolution, the higher the bitrate and I've never seen any other phone play videos as clean and lifelike on the XZ Premium

I've got an Xperia xz premium which I've had for 2 years it's an amazing phone and I think the Xperia 1 mkii is my next upgrade
XZ Premium has true UHD 4K resolution (2160 x 3840).
Xperia 1 II doesn't have that full UHD 4K resolution aka it barely has 6 million pixels.
(Just FYI.)

Huh I was really excited about the Xperia 5 too, I knew I was going to hate it for some of its quirks, and I do, but I also really love it, for the screen, the desing and the battery management.

Tbh I would like to give Sony another go but the last 2 phones and some Xperia phones in my family have all had this same problem, where it turns really hot sometimes when used, kinda normal the first few months then it starts dying slowly over time untill when the phone gets hot even fully charged it goes 20-15-10% then die without warning.

Seems like Lew is going to have fun. He's a real camera nerd and this phone is perfectly aimed at it's intended demographic. Another channel called "Art of photography" really likes this phone too. SONY is doing great tackling it's target audience.

I truly hope they get the attention and sales they deserve with this phone. Xperias are very well built, and if not for their apparent obsolescence in other areas, I would have considered to try switching from Galaxy Notes to them. The fact that they're focusing on cameras reminds me of the Sony Ericson days, when they had a line of "cameras with a phone embedded" philosophy.
If I were in the market for a new phone (and had the dough to remorselessly buy it), this one would be in my list.
Hope they make a compact version, it's been two years since the ZX2 Compact :(

Watching this on my Nokia 9 Pureview, which knows its days of having an active SIM card are numbered. This phone looks like a true "mobile camera", an endeavour which proved too arduous for Nokia. Last Xperia phone i had was the Z5P, can't wait to get back into Sony-land. Glad to see that the company finally got its different arms to collaborate on their mobile initiative, it's about time.
