As an LG V20 user I can attest to this lack of support from LG, my last security update was 2 years ago .. although I do have the ultra rare Dual sim Indianesia version, some or the large US/S.Korea carrier versions got one more update than I did.
Me at the start of the video: This is dumb. No point. Who would want that? Me at the end of the video: Holy shit. That's the most useful dual screen I've ever seen 😲 I NEED IT
The one handed use with full screen would be so useful. I know its specific but I'm a regular plasma donor and basically you can't use one arm for an hour. The ergonomics are amazing.
To all who are seeing this review for the first time. I saw this review 3 months ago and got this phone. 3 months later, i can confidently say this is the best phone i have ever owned. I've owned iphones, Notes, and even the LG Dual Screens. I like the dual screens but they become too big to hold. In my line of work i walk around a lot, and with this phone i can multitask holding the phone with one hand. Something i can't do with the Dual screen foldable phones. If you are in a office setting where you sit all day, the dual screens might be good for you. But if you are moving around allday but also need to multitask, look no further. The Wing is king.
Gaming is not comfortable on that phone. For example u wanna chat on the game you will always have to switch between the screens. Its too heavy and just not nice to hold. The wing is really useless actually. Also if u wanna watch a movie and do something else at the same time. U cant just keep hodling the phone in ur hand, u will want to put it down and watch the movie but its imposible to do so. U should watch a real review.
When LG fails on smartphones for years then drops something this freaking cool out of nowhere. Good job LG, it’s time y’all come back. They made the first phablet I fell in love with.
LG in 2020 is doing a pretty good job, V60 with great specifications and the possibility of dual screen and pen support, two screens for the price of the Samsung s20 and Velvet with the same possibilities, but with slightly weaker parameters that most users will be satisfied with for 600$ and both phones can be changed from normal smartphones to dual screen at any time and now an interesting novelty - Wing. they even launched teaser for sliding phone, Project Explorer. LG is stepping up
Got G7 Thinq version still in use today. Perfect phone for everything. One single problem I got in all those years: the usb-c port seems to be loose so the phone won't have contact when it charges (sometimes it charges, sometimes it won't. and yes I cleaned it frequently). Replacement costs about 30$. Or you can try yourself (6min most detailed tutorial here on youtube) with not more than 1h of work (even as bloody noob) and about 10$ for the new shipped usb-c port. I don't trust myself so I go with the 30$ lol.
The dual camera video recording with PIP mode - I am amazed with it! It's a ground breaking innovative I believe, dream of especially tutorial makers! It's simply great!
Blackberry torch 9800. I had it and the case even tough cheap never came off unless i took it off. And dropped it a lot without a scratch so it's not impossible for this LG phone to have a good case
At first I thought this was a joke. Came here, watched the video and was left impressed. A lot of the features seemed surprisingly useful given the fact that the phone can always still be used like any other regular smartphone. Props to LG, can't wait to see what the 2nd gen might be.
@@chrisprilloisebola Yeah I get why you'd think this is gimmicky, that's literally what I thought before I saw the video. But in a perfect world, apps could really make use of the second screen this way. I find myself in a lot of nuisance every time I wanna change a song while I'm using maps, this method does solve that issue. Most companies are driving towards this multi-tasking capability while also having a regular smartphone form factor, so it really seems like we are driving towards this perfect world where app developers start making use of secondary/bigger displays. It could be the next innovative thing - just like how the note 4 with bent glass edge started today's bezel-less waterfall displays - and I'm personally ready to keep my mind open for them :)
@@user-uw1wq9rj8g It is 1st gen after all, Galaxy fold 1 had a lot of issues as well and now the fold 2 is actually worth buying, despite the monstrous price. The rotating 'wings' of the LG Wing has so many practical uses and I absolutely love how it has turned my streaming and gaming experience for the better. LG has constantly been upgrading its smartphones and coming up with innovative and incredible devices. This one is another brilliant example of the brand’s consistency and the multitasking aspect of this phone is simply great!

@@serin5979 Do you have a phone? I've watched multiple reviews but never seen those complaints. As for chatting while gaming, obviously, you can't focus on both at the same time but you can have a chat and game both visible so you don't miss out on any of them but for better multitasking applications would need to optimize for it which I think would be great. About watching a movie, if you want to put a regular phone down you still need some kind of support and if you are not holding it this phone is basically the same, you can close it or have another display on top while support attached to it on the back, it will move it's center of mass to the top and it will depend on the support mechanism but I'm sure you can make it work.

What about the clutz (the person eho jas a heavy duty case because they tend to drop their phone a lot)? I don't know how they'd be able to make a phone case for this phone. @@downundabrotha I know people drop their phones all the time. That's why companies started making cases for their phones in the 1st place. This is actually really impressive for a first gen “multitasking phone”
It looks great, but it's an LG phone which means you will get1 or 2 Android upgrades and then no more support. As an LG V20 user I can attest to this lack of support from LG, my last security update was 2 years ago .. although I do have the ultra rare Dual sim Indianesia version, some or the large US/S.Korea carrier versions got one more update than I did.

Bro Apple vs Android wars in 2020, really? Just drop it already

When LG fails on smartphones for years then drops something this freaking cool out of nowhere. Good job LG, it’s time y’all come back. They made the first phablet I fell in love with.
LG in 2020 is doing a pretty good job, V60 with great specifications and the possibility of dual screen and pen support, two screens for the price of the Samsung s20 and Velvet with the same possibilities, but with slightly weaker parameters that most users will be satisfied with for 600$
and both phones can be changed from normal smartphones to dual screen at any time and now an interesting novelty - Wing. they even launched teaser for sliding phone, Project Explorer. LG is stepping up
When LG is considered fail?
Got G7 Thinq version still in use today. Perfect phone for everything. One single problem I got in all those years: the usb-c port seems to be loose so the phone won't have contact when it charges (sometimes it charges, sometimes it won't. and yes I cleaned it frequently). Replacement costs about 30$. Or you can try yourself (6min most detailed tutorial here on youtube) with not more than 1h of work (even as bloody noob) and about 10$ for the new shipped usb-c port. I don't trust myself so I go with the 30$ lol.

At first I thought this was a joke. Came here, watched the video and was left impressed. A lot of the features seemed surprisingly useful given the fact that the phone can always still be used like any other regular smartphone. Props to LG, can't wait to see what the 2nd gen might be.
Yeah, a regular phone... but with high price and mid-end processor.
Will the 2nd gen come out...? lol
Its a dumb gimmick my guy. Z fold 2 is the less gimmicky ot seems from these "new gen" phones
I hope with more research and testing from this 1st gen, they can cut down costs to develop a better flagship 2nd gen package.
