      I have the QN900B. My only complaint with the 8 k tvs are the amount of heat they produce, and the netlix app keeps freezing. The only way to relaunch it is to hard powercycle the tv! Maybe that is fixed in the newer models

    • @Pwaters86
      @Pwaters86 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +15

      Btw @lew, you are using the Q-Symphony wrong. The tv has to be close to a wall, and the speakers on the back of the tv bounce their sound off the wall.
      The Samsung Sound bar is trash, BTW. My dad has it, and it sucks. I went with the Sony HT-A7000. It is expensive but worth every penny!!!

  • @phantom498

      yeah, it's stylish and relatively small and convenient, but even for the same price you can get leagues better sound quality from proper speakers (and I'm saying this while owning a samsung q990b)

      Not everyone wants damn speakers everywhere

    • @01gtbdaily30
      @01gtbdaily30 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      Doesn’t the sound bar just act like a center speaker of a 7.1 surround sound system. I remember I used to have a giant speaker tower system made by Nuance many years ago. The front towers had powered subwoofers in them , a center speaker, 2 side bookshelf size speakers and 2 slightly larger rear speakers. It had the ability to be very loud and you could feel everything in the whole house but through technology I’ve seen much smaller systems recreate the same sound quality .

    • @stevenw973
      @stevenw973 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@01gtbdaily30 The complete soundbar/subwoofer/rear speaker package is meant to be 11.1.4. So not only does the soundbar act as the center channel, it also has speakers to replicate front left & right, side left & right, up-firing, front wide speakers left & right, and front height left & right. That would be your "11"
      Then subwoofer to make ".1"
      Then the rear speakers have front and up-firing woofers to make the ".4" channels
      Overall, it's a very immersive experience. But still no where near a true 11.1.4 system with individual speakers and makes no since to purchase considering you can get a true system for similar cost lol

      That does depend on the size of the screen, though. The same number of pixels on a phone screen and a massive screen the size of a panel van does look different. On a phone the pixels are so small and close together that you'd need a microscope to perceive individual ones. On a gargantuan, wall-filling screen the pixels are larger and can be perceived with the unaided eye.

I Tried the 2024 83" Sonly A80L and a Samsung 98" Q80C. The Sony had a beautiful picture but not my favorite menu. The 98" Samsung sometimes looked great, other times looked terrible. Decided to get the QN900C because I shouldn't enjoy my 2 year old tv more than a brand new one. Also got it for 5k. Its not the perfect tv, but I really do love it. Wish I could of gotten the 2024 D version as the AI is over 2x better than the C but the launch prices are out of my acceptable range. I just hope I get 10 years from each tv, id be happy. By the time I want to upgrade again tvs are going to be almost perfect.

    A suggestion. Your place is huge and I like it as it looks. But maybe you could use some furniture or other object to give a better sense of scale next to the TV. Keep this same object in all videos, so when we watch them we can see better how huge the TV set is. Keep up the good work, love your videos.

      I have the soundbar. It’s great. These tvs have huge issues with the one connect box. It’s 40gbps not 48 so it drops signal from HDMI inputs really bad for any high end content. You try to push 4-8k 120hz or 144+ it’s going to black out every few seconds. The only way to solve this issue is to get the next lower model tv that doesn’t have the one connect box. In my case I returned the S95C that was a nearly $5,000 tv and replaced it with the S90C which is the next tier down OLED. The only difference is the rear speakers and the one connect box so eliminate the OCB and eliminate the signal drop out.

    Over the years I’ve had several brands of TV’s.
    Two of the very best would have to be Loewe, Blaupunkt & of course Bang & Olufsen.
    They’re in a serious class of their own so one can’t really compare them to a Samsung.
    Out of all the ordinary brand TV’s I’ve had my 3 favourites would definitely be Sharp, Sony, Panasonic & Samsung.
    I have to say that Samsung has never once disappointed me.
    I’ve never had a Samsung randomly breakdown or put out poor audio or visual.
    This TV certainly looks incredible & I would have one but I’d be wanting to wait a while until the price drops first.
    I could just imagine how much this model would cost at today’s price.
    It would be great if that picture quality could be obtained this well from a projector on to the wall.
    I guess with time everything is eventually possible…. Usually at least.

    A test/review for the ai upscaling lower resolution content would be very interesting. I wonder how it looks when you upscale 1080p, 720p or even as low as 480p content? Some details must get lost, or “incorrectly predicted” but maybe this feature could be a fantastic tool to reduce data volume for storage and transfers in the future.
