This man was dying, took a part in a film that logically should not have been made, and turned in an absolute solid gold, iconic, once in a generation performance. RIP, Mr. Julia, you were and always will be one of the best

That comeback from Bison...as much as people meme and joke about it...savage. In a twist, he shows a bit of Laconian wit while Chun Li does a borderline villain origin story monologue. Raul really was the bright point of this very rough film. RIP Raul Julia.

This scene speaks so much of the characters.
Chun-li: traumatized as a child, trains her life and devotes herself to kill Bison. He is everything, her whole existence. When she gets to speak with him she tells him her whole spiel while he quietly listens. And at the end she displays her disgust confidently, thinking her words stung deep.
Bison: Polite tyrant, has no recollection of the event due too the regularity of his atrocities, recognizes her lack of understanding of his perspective, permits her to speak her piece anyways and then absolutly obliterates her worldview with his perspective on reality.
She thought he was still a petty drug-lord, but he has become far more since she last saw him. What she remembered and what reality is now where not the same and it just floors her.
The only thing that amazes me is how he got a slush machine. I don't know if it's dark age technology or he kill a lot of people just to design it. I'm sure of something, it has someone's brain inside

Raul Julia was dying from cancer while making this movie and he wanted to be in it as a gift to his grandkids who were big fans of Streetfighter; it's super corny but all in good fun and he did an *amazing* job as Bison.

Fun fact, Raul Julia was dying of cancer when he made this film. He knew he didn't have much time left and he knew his son loved Street Fighter so he came off all his meds and endured extreme pain every day to play this part. Its why he is giving it his all despite it being a dumb low budget action film based on a video game. Its a shame the film was garbage cause I loved him and i love that story.
