Trazyn is a man of culture. If he can see any form of art, he’ll respect the one who created it. That’s why he’s not as insane as other necrons who somehow managed not to loose their personality when they became robots.

This is a stunning work of art. Trazyn's dry humor and hypocrisy of referring to other species as arrogant while constantly talking down to everyone who isn't a Necron is tops. And the voice is so good, sounds perfect for him. Great stuff
When you realize the "perfect" immortal beings that are the necrons are actually afflicted with varying degrees of dementia due to faulty hibernation process. Trazyn is one of the few lucky ones who sound almost sane. One of them thinks he's still a Necrontyr from before the War in heaven. And let's not talk about the Necron main force who woke up braindead! Their main hope is that the ones who didn't wake up yet didn't deteriorate as much as they did. But I'm not counting on it. Even the Necrons can't survive forever. At least not in this form. Which reminds me of the end of the video where Trazynn evokes a return to flesh thanks to humanity. Does he want to download the Necrons minds into human bodies? And why humans? Whatever the plan, I hope it's both epic and crazy.
This was the single greatest explanation of Warhammer 40k lore I have ever watched and listened to. The presentation, the theming, the imagery, and the music used. I can't help but be enthralled by all of it. I'm surprised that GW didn't say "Whoa! Wait! Can we buy you for our Subscription service" yet.
The moment he mention the Old ones and Eldari , He display his hatred and disgust. And when he narrate Necron ,he glorified them. It's Epic how someone can put soul into the character to this extent.

Trazyn is the one guy who would travel space and time just to snatch away the monolith of 2001 a space Odyssey (because it was secretly a fragment of a cadian pylon, Kubrick got contacted by Trazyn and he really just filmed in the warp with the help of Necron Technology)
Trazyn is the greatest character. He's hilarious, but also very clearly has a deep passion and care for preserving not just moments, but cultures. He is the only Necron who cares for culture, which is just, tragic, but also awe inspiring
If I was going to pick a Necron faction it be with Trazyn. I feel like I could totally relate to a guy whose greatest goal is to have a sick museum of universal history.
I think It's part because he's persuing what he believes to be the essence of what it means to be alive, to actually have a soul. It's touching in its own macabre way
the fact here he clearly believes that Necrons are not just another fallible fucked up bunch with plenty of their own issues is amusing to me. Destroyer Plagues and the Flayed ones are just the tip of the ice burg.
"We have killed greater beings before." Give Matt Ward all the shit you like; he hit on a gem with Trazyn. Literally any depiction of him, as a withered scholar, a joke, or something using scarab brain parasites all have an intriguing quality.
I think the one thing that I love about Trazin is that his rivalry with Orkan aside, we get the sensation that this guy *loves* the universe and as part of his major drive, wants to preserve it in a twisted way. Like, he noted Creed was an incredible figure, so whisked him away so that he would remain eternal, even though he would've normally died when Cadia fell, yet was strangely thoughtful enough to return his coat to his daughter who he knew would attach sediment to that item. Or that time he inadvertently protected humanity from the Orcs and became remembered as a Space Marine chapter. For a faction largely consisting of stagnant figures who are generally really uninterested in living, breathing beings, the fact that a literal soulless husk of a man could find purpose and beauty in the world worth preserving for eternity is strangely touching. Horrific mind you, these people are often abducted and may never wake up ever again from these super weird re-enactment scenes that he painstakingly builds like a 40k diorama builder, but the fact he does it in a queer sense of adoration is incredibly unique in this universe usually shown to be brutally uncaring.

I like how this goes from an exciting science podcast to a depressing social documentary and slowly and inevitably into a dark, grim and fast paced catalogue of various wars and historical events.
I can almost imagine the scenario... a Remembrancer (perhaps awoken from a stasis slumber of more than ten thousand years) finds his way into the hall of Trazyn the Infinite, to hear his stories - and Trazyn, grateful for a guest that doesn't try to destroy his collection for once, obliges... before of course inducting the remembrancer into his collection.

I have seen hundreds of Warhammer 40k lore videos from Luetin09 to Majorkill and others, from dedicated fans like Syama Pederson and Sodaz to Janovich and so many other animations, painting guides, table top matches, listened to hours of ambient music from Prometheus Studios and audio dramas both fan and official and audio books by the many. But nothing has ever compared to this work of art, of something that is so blatantly obvious in terms of what is to be expected from Trazyn the Infinite as a character and yet, you, Warrior Tier are the first to ever do something like this from his perspective and I've never been so much of a fan of Warhammer 40k as I am now. You did this so well this would Trump anything GW would have ever done. The only thing I wished more is that you do an entire series of events and things of Trazyn's collection and from his narration. But I am fully content with this.

This has been the only video on the history and time-line of the 40k universe that was able to hold my attention the entire time. The use of fantastic visuals and the storytelling told by the narrator were both so captivating. I've wanted to get into 40k for a while now and this was a fantastic way to introduce a newcomer into the franchise. Very well done!
Plus, the theory that it wasn't actually the warp that they traveled to but simply massive brain injuries and radiation that caused hallucinations for the crew kinda makes sense. Even though I wanted the warp idea to be cannon as well.
Trazyn sounds so devastated when talking about the downfalls or dark ages. Like he's not only sad at the loss of all that possible knowledge, like he's sad that more ended up as the necrons.
Whenever I’m introducing someone to 40k, this is my go-to video. To perfectly condense that massive lore to under 40 minutes is impressive enough, but to do it in such an entertaining style…incredible stuff. 🙏🏻🖤

When possible untold trillions went to biofurances, the raw of emotions of Necrontyr was unleashed on a peaceful Warp. That it was Necrontyr bloodlust that most matched Khorne, Necrontyr suffering of their genetic/physical degeneration over the life times that created Nurggle and Necrontyr innate need to better their miserable lives through intrigue and civil war that created Tzeentch.

I read "The Infinite and the Divine" few months ago (in December 2022) and I will share a quote from the book (I write down some quotes from all the books I read). So in "The Infinite and the Divine" by Robert Rath on page 138 at the bottom we read: "In general, Trazyn had not been much interested in humans. He collected them, of course, he collected everything. But he considered them on the same level as orks, or various kinds of carnivorous algae. Their spread across the cosmos had destroyed so many more interesting civilizations, and since the rise of the Emperor their culture had an utter sameness that bored him. If Trazyn cared about the mere ability to propagate and spread, he'd spend his eternity collecting bacteria. Just because a thing was successful and ubiquitous did not make it fascinating - it just made it common. But the Horus Heresy changed all that. Before it was all colonisation and settlement. This, this was history, this was drama. Betrayal. Struggle. Brother fighting brother across the gulf of the stars. Empires rising and falling, heroes and rebels. He'd collected so much that he'd begun to worry he'd gone overboard."
From a percentage/per capita standpoint.. yea, Orks should win hands down.. but from a total numbers angle, humans are on far more worlds and have far more factions at legit war with each other in much larger wars. Orks skirmish against each other on a world when there's nobody else to fight, but they don't wage full scale wars against each other to the extent the humans do, they band together for a waagh against somebody else when it gets to that point.

It depends if you wanna say most clans are infighting each other, which would be true, or that most actual orks are infighting instead of trying to join a waagh.. which i don't think is true (but that's a bit hard to prove).

I feel like a major component of 40k is the fan base's talent and the many unofficial works like this. Games Workshop is shooting themselves in the foot by attempting to take stuff like this down, The recent surge in popularity is because of works of art like this.

As is the character telling the story, Trazyn who is a major character in the setting for the Necron faction. This video, is in my opinion, is a great introduction to Warhammer 40k for newbies. Great job Warrior Tier! You and Matthew deserve all the likes for this one! While its different hearing Trazyn's voice without a robotic filter it does give a sense that his true self is talking to the audience not his robotic form. His soul I suppose you could call it. While I was listening it was like his old self was talking with the memories of his entire existence. The overall history of the timeline made sense although he doesn't have all the facts in the right places, he did mention he was basing his timeline off of what he had which made sense to me. But right at the end, the idea that humanity would be used as the means to restore their flesh did remind that the Necrons plan for humanity is not a benevolent one. Anyway great job man! You, Vox, and so many 40k youtubers inspire me to begin putting out my own work. I can only hope to learn and grow in the coming months, while at the same time cheering you guys on to keep going.
The Infinite and the Divine, specifically Trazyn was the reason why I took the plunge into 40k so this is a very special treat for me. So, thank you brother Tier.
This was by far the most well-done 40k lore video I've ever seen! The editing, the voice acting, and the pacing and style of how it was all explained made this very immersive. It almost felt like listening to the history of something as if it were real.

Uhhh a big thing is that its all wrong. Hell just the start: 1. There was no big bang in 40k, we dont have proof-proof of big bang neither in our world or 40k. 2. Ctan and Necrontyr had beef, no beef if the toads are already gone before necron as you claim, and no ctan if no beef, and no eldar or krork if no beef etc. Super wrong here. 3. Actual provable FACT that neither Necrontyr nor the Old Ones were first. It was probably some uninteligent race with no space exploration skills. Unless we dont count logical conjecture then it was an unnamed race that had spaceflight first, we know Old Ones were elevated thus decided to go elevate others, it implies someone had to elevate them.

There is something very inspiring about Trazyn's sense of wonder, his fascination and reverence for the universe and life. It makes you want for him to actually develop a larger conscience and become a better being... but Necron gotta Necron.

I love how much this emphasises the mystery and uncertainty of 40K's lore. Its sheer flexibility and unreliable nature is one of its greatest strengths, and one that is far too easily forgotten in lore videos, which too often take in-universe statements as a hard fact (especially where the Emperor, the Imperium, and Space Marines are concerned).

The audio design of this video is spectacular, this video is so slept on, it's honestly better than several movies I've seen recently. It shows such dedication and love to warhammer, it's so undescribably awesome
The imperium, tau, elder, and even chaos are relatively recent elements in the galaxy, which I believe most casual viewers and even dedicated fans who immerse themselves in Warhammer 40000 forget. Even if the imperium and its enemies are our primary concern, we must not lose sight of the fact that they represent but a blip on the cosmic radar; in comparison to events that occurred millions of years ago, such as the war in heaven, even the ten millennia old Horus heresy appears fresh.
The Eldar shouldn't be on that list, they spent 60 million years ruling the galaxy and 5 million before that fighting the Necrons who are the only ones older than them.
@@yaelz6043 To be fair they didnt fight them for 5 million of years, Krorks and Eldars were created in latest stages of war as last resort. Its still 60+ million of years though.
When you actually stop to think about it, the Necrons are directly or indirectly responsible for nearly every shitty thing that plagues the 42nd millenium. The War in Heaven truly fucked up everything for everyone forever.

Trazyn is a man of culture. If he can see any form of art, he’ll respect the one who created it. That’s why he’s not as insane as other necrons who somehow managed not to loose their personality when they became robots.

Using a character to narrate was a great decision, I was quite thrilled by Trazyn's narration, both his humor and biases

When you realize the "perfect" immortal beings that are the necrons are actually afflicted with varying degrees of dementia due to faulty hibernation process. Trazyn is one of the few lucky ones who sound almost sane. One of them thinks he's still a Necrontyr from before the War in heaven. And let's not talk about the Necron main force who woke up braindead! Their main hope is that the ones who didn't wake up yet didn't deteriorate as much as they did. But I'm not counting on it. Even the Necrons can't survive forever. At least not in this form. Which reminds me of the end of the video where Trazynn evokes a return to flesh thanks to humanity. Does he want to download the Necrons minds into human bodies? And why humans? Whatever the plan, I hope it's both epic and crazy.
They are beneath our regard but have earned our disgust.

He's hilarious, but also very clearly has a deep passion and care for preserving not just moments, but cultures. He is the only Necron who cares for culture, which is just, tragic, but also awe inspiring
If I was going to pick a Necron faction it be with Trazyn. I feel like I could totally relate to a guy whose greatest goal is to have a sick museum of universal history.
I think It's part because he's persuing what he believes to be the essence of what it means to be alive, to actually have a soul. It's touching in its own macabre way
the fact here he clearly believes that Necrons are not just another fallible fucked up bunch with plenty of their own issues is amusing to me.

I think the one thing that I love about Trazin is that his rivalry with Orkan aside, we get the sensation that this guy *loves* the universe and as part of his major drive, wants to preserve it in a twisted way. Like, he noted Creed was an incredible figure, so whisked him away so that he would remain eternal, even though he would've normally died when Cadia fell, yet was strangely thoughtful enough to return his coat to his daughter who he knew would attach sediment to that item. Or that time he inadvertently protected humanity from the Orcs and became remembered as a Space Marine chapter. For a faction largely consisting of stagnant figures who are generally really uninterested in living, breathing beings, the fact that a literal soulless husk of a man could find purpose and beauty in the world worth preserving for eternity is strangely touching.
Horrific mind you, these people are often abducted and may never wake up ever again from these super weird re-enactment scenes that he painstakingly builds like a 40k diorama builder, but the fact he does it in a queer sense of adoration is incredibly unique in this universe usually shown to be brutally uncaring.

But nothing has ever compared to this work of art, of something that is so blatantly obvious in terms of what is to be expected from Trazyn the Infinite as a character and yet, you, Warrior Tier are the first to ever do something like this from his perspective and I've never been so much of a fan of Warhammer 40k as I am now. You did this so well this would Trump anything GW would have ever done. The only thing I wished more is that you do an entire series of events and things of Trazyn's collection and from his narration. But I am fully content with this.

I love how everyone has just accepted 'Event Horizon is the story of humanity's first encounter with the Warp' as being canon.

It was actually meant to be, but GW petulantly refused to license the IP
Plus, the theory that it wasn't actually the warp that they traveled to but simply massive brain injuries and radiation that caused hallucinations for the crew kinda makes sense. Even though I wanted the warp idea to be cannon as well.

When possible untold trillions went to biofurances, the raw of emotions of Necrontyr was unleashed on a peaceful Warp. That it was Necrontyr bloodlust that most matched Khorne, Necrontyr suffering of their genetic/physical degeneration over the life times that created Nurggle and Necrontyr innate need to better their miserable lives through intrigue and civil war that created Tzeentch.

I read "The Infinite and the Divine" few months ago (in December 2022) and I will share a quote from the book (I write down some quotes from all the books I read). So in "The Infinite and the Divine" by Robert Rath on page 138 at the bottom we read:
"In general, Trazyn had not been much interested in humans. He collected them, of course, he collected everything. But he considered them on the same level as orks, or various kinds of carnivorous algae. Their spread across the cosmos had destroyed so many more interesting civilizations, and since the rise of the Emperor their culture had an utter sameness that bored him. If Trazyn cared about the mere ability to propagate and spread, he'd spend his eternity collecting bacteria. Just because a thing was successful and ubiquitous did not make it fascinating - it just made it common. But the Horus Heresy changed all that. Before it was all colonisation and settlement. This, this was history, this was drama. Betrayal. Struggle. Brother fighting brother across the gulf of the stars. Empires rising and falling, heroes and rebels. He'd collected so much that he'd begun to worry he'd gone overboard."

From a percentage/per capita standpoint.. yea, Orks should win hands down.. but from a total numbers angle, humans are on far more worlds and have far more factions at legit war with each other in much larger wars. Orks skirmish against each other on a world when there's nobody else to fight, but they don't wage full scale wars against each other to the extent the humans do, they band together for a waagh against somebody else when it gets to that point.
I think it's more that they fight between themselves more than they fight against any enemy.

Great job Warrior Tier! You and Matthew deserve all the likes for this one! While its different hearing Trazyn's voice without a robotic filter it does give a sense that his true self is talking to the audience not his robotic form. His soul I suppose you could call it. While I was listening it was like his old self was talking with the memories of his entire existence. The overall history of the timeline made sense although he doesn't have all the facts in the right places, he did mention he was basing his timeline off of what he had which made sense to me. But right at the end, the idea that humanity would be used as the means to restore their flesh did remind that the Necrons plan for humanity is not a benevolent one. Anyway great job man! You, Vox, and so many 40k youtubers inspire me to begin putting out my own work. I can only hope to learn and grow in the coming months, while at the same time cheering you guys on to keep going.

Uhhh a big thing is that its all wrong. Hell just the start:
1. There was no big bang in 40k, we dont have proof-proof of big bang neither in our world or 40k.
2. Ctan and Necrontyr had beef, no beef if the toads are already gone before necron as you claim, and no ctan if no beef, and no eldar or krork if no beef etc. Super wrong here.
3. Actual provable FACT that neither Necrontyr nor the Old Ones were first. It was probably some uninteligent race with no space exploration skills. Unless we dont count logical conjecture then it was an unnamed race that had spaceflight first, we know Old Ones were elevated thus decided to go elevate others, it implies someone had to elevate them.

I love how much this emphasises the mystery and uncertainty of 40K's lore. Its sheer flexibility and unreliable nature is one of its greatest strengths, and one that is far too easily forgotten in lore videos, which too often take in-universe statements as a hard fact (especially where the Emperor, the Imperium, and Space Marines are concerned).
This is the most chill and calm Warhammer video I've ever seen. The way only a person that watches for billions or years can do.

The imperium, tau, elder, and even chaos are relatively recent elements in the galaxy, which I believe most casual viewers and even dedicated fans who immerse themselves in Warhammer 40000 forget. Even if the imperium and its enemies are our primary concern, we must not lose sight of the fact that they represent but a blip on the cosmic radar; in comparison to events that occurred millions of years ago, such as the war in heaven, even the ten millennia old Horus heresy appears fresh.
The Eldar shouldn't be on that list, they spent 60 million years ruling the galaxy and 5 million before that fighting the Necrons who are the only ones older than them.
@@yaelz6043 To be fair they didnt fight them for 5 million of years, Krorks and Eldars were created in latest stages of war as last resort. Its still 60+ million of years though.
When you actually stop to think about it, the Necrons are directly or indirectly responsible for nearly every shitty thing that plagues the 42nd millenium. The War in Heaven truly fucked up everything for everyone forever.
@@CteCrassus well... If you take that approach, Old ones are responsible for it as much as necrons. And even C'tan as they were the reason necrons have the entire "space cancer".

They merely refused to share their secrets with the Necrontyr because they didn't trust they would use them responsibly, and taking into account that they immediately responded with murderous, genocidal violence they were probably correct in their assesment.
But how were the C'Tan responsible for the Necron's absolutely horrid spawn point?
