Some others that I picked up cheap for Xbox One were Just Cause 3 & 4, Shenmue I & II, and Forza Horizon 4 (just to have a physical copy). It is, it's considered by many to have the best Single Player Campaign for a game of that type and I played it through PS Plus when it available on the monthly games and I can say it's as great as everyone says it is, the series does live on through Apex Legends for better or for worse and off and on over the years Titanfall 3 has been discussed and could happen at some point, especially if EA wants to make some bank and seriously with all the praise that Titanfall 2 got EA making a follow up would sell well, just have to make sure to not have some big competition to deal with and Money.
Market value and quality are seldom related. Bioshock Infinite went to the bargain bin several months after launch despite the fact that it's excellent. Meanwhile CoD games hold substantial value for several years. It's more about demand vs. supply than quality.
Playing the Trine games couch co-op with 3 people is such a blast. They’re fun to play solo, but co-op live with crosstalk and brainstorming is an absolute blast.
Never been huge into Assassin’s Creed but I will always give Origins HUGE props for adding in an educational mode, where it gets rid of the combat and quests and you just get to explore the different parts of Egypt with audio commentary explaining the real world history and the things surrounding you in game. Something literally no one was asking for but goodness do I think it’s one of the coolest things you can randomly add to a game like Assassin’s Creed. Highly recommend if you want a casual break from assassinating people (in game)!
Everyone except Colin Moriarty from IGN who purposely played it instead of MGS and made a huge deal about it acting like he was having way more fun than everyone playing MGS5. I love Colin but sometimes he's silly af
Mad Max is one of those games that shouldn't be as fun and well made as it is. I've played through it twice and look forward to playing it a third time.
Cannot say enough about Mad Max. I’m biased to open-world games, sure, but it was an enjoyable romp especially once you get past a somewhat slow beginning. If you’re a trophy hunter/completionist, make sure you check a guide for taking out all outposts as one has missable content that’s hard to destroy later when you can’t return inside said outpost.
Agreed. Mad Max is what I consider one of the most underrated games of the past generation. I finished it for the first time on the PC but am going through it again on Xbox, especially it ended up getting a 60fps boost on the Series X.

Metro Exodus is one of the best games of the previous gen, the fact you can get it for that cheap is amazing. People should play it. Also Sam's DLC is very good

In Canada unless they're super old or launch titles nothing is less than $10, but if I had to recommend some going by Gamestop US prices, here they are: -DOOM (2016) (I was never that into the Doom games but I got this one a while ago and I have been really enjoying it, different, fast paced and fun!) -Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order (apparently under $10 in the US, Dark Souls like Star Wars game, great story and boss battles) -Control (really fun third person shooter, at least in the first half) -South Park: The Stick of Truth & The Fractured but Whole (also not a huge turn-based RPG fan, played these and was blown away, easily on my favorite games list, great for fans of the show) -Most of the Lego games (can't go wrong with them, great if you have kids or another person to play with, they are kinda samey but fun) -Any of the Dead Rising games (can't go wrong with killing zombies)
I know this is a old video but I find it interesting for you to say that titanfall 2 was the only game you played that had a run wall mechanic and one of the call of duty games has that feature that I believe you said you have played as well. Pretty good single player experience for Titanfall 2 imo, I enjoyed that game. I wish they would’ve stayed focused on a 3rd game. Metro Exodus looks beautiful on PS5.
Mad max was so mass produced that you could find new copies years later with the pre-order DLC the Car Ripper included i got mine at walmart for 20 dollars. Honestly it does a good job staying true to the series people didn't care for it but i loved it.
Honestly it is strange but I've seen the prices of some games over here in germany only increase of like 5€ per game (not every game but a few) while a lot of game prices has fallen. Not just like TOY STORY 2 which at one point costed 40-55€ and cost like 15-20€ (obviously due to the new PsPlus) but also games that are NOT part of PsPlus like LEGACY OF KAIN SOUL REAVER which has dropped like 20€ in price (I saw it goin from 30€ down to 10€). Always depends on where you're buying the games, if you're buying them from a store or if you're buying them online, but I have recently bought sooo many games for cheap that were absolutely over-priced almost. Absolutely crazy...
I loved mad max.. Really wished it would've gotten a sequel.. I got to a point in the game where I thought it was gonna open up and have a whole new area to explore but it just ended.. Great game nonetheless
Thank you for giving a shoutout to Battlefield Hardline. People still dog on it to this day for not being a "real" Battlefield game when the entire point of it was to be a spinoff. I pre-ordered it and loved it. Solid multiplayer with a fun twist on it, and a solid single-player campaign. My favorite in the whole series right behind 2142.
The last AC that I played was AC3 on X360 then during the locked down in 2020 I decided to play Origins and like what you said we needed that long break from the AC franchise to enjoy it again and I had a blast finishing Baek's journey. I also enjoyed Battlefield Hardline on my OG XB1 fun quick action shooter.

For some reason I believe Mad Max, Just Cause 3 and Sleeping Dogs definitive edition are the true essentials for any PS4, you need those games to begin with, any other game is optional
I actually played and finished Mad Max earlier this year it's such a fun game the customization and car combat feels so smooth there are some repetitive areas like enemy bases but that certainly dosen't diminish how great the game is and if you're a fan of the Mad Max world there is so much to explore. Love the work Avalanche did with this game. I also need to check out titan fall 2 but the only thing that really stopped me giving it a try is I heard that the campaign is short and I'mnot really into multiplayer, but now I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

Great video! And I'll admit I liked a few of those like Titanfall 2 and Mad Max and I'm not usually a fan of those styles. Lot of fun to be had with everything on this list. And Metro Exodus is an absolute steal at that price!
If you like Metro you should try Chernobylite. Open world apocalyptic with the map being all mapped out from the real Chernobyl. Really cool survival game.
Man those prices are crazy the lowest our stores are going is 19€ and those are usually the sports games. The rest of the games are either 39€ or 59€ no matter the console or how old they are... :(
I don't see the purpose anymore in collecting 8-32bit stuff other than the reason of just owning the games. MISTer has just completely fulfilled that urge, with it's accuracy and excellent replication of all the old systems programmed into the FPGA. I collect for the PS2 and upwards, but it feels so good not needing to fork out $500 for a rare Megadrive game or whatever. There are so many cheap good games for the PS2, PS3 and PS4, it's more than enough to keep me busy for a very long time

AC Origins is a gem. Like you said, I also came back to AC after skipping a bunch of them. Origins just pulled me into ancient Egypt and I loved it, the atmosphere, music, exploration, ... All brilliantly designed!
I missed out on the entire PS4 generation but just recently got a PS5. The deals on games I’d been wanting to play are great. I might have felt like I was missing out for a while, but now I get to go back and catch up for a significant price cut without feeling like I’m playing very outdated games.
my favorite racing game was Midnight club Los Angeles.. you can find it for $10-15. more of an arcade racer but it still holds up today .. you should check it out
7:49 Totally agree. I picked it up right when it came out because it looked promising to me and boy was I right! I really enjoyed it and did literally everything you can do! Got all the collectibles in it and all trophys on PS4. I sold my console recently with this and a couple other games but if I ever get a PS5 i'll definitely get this game with it!
I didn't really think I'd like a game like Mad Max but it's excellent. All of the side quests and scavenging is actually fun and addicting. I think I spent roughly 60 hours into it and found it hard to put down. It's even cheaper on PC and well worth it.
All these games can be found discounted on the current Steam summer sale as well, so if you prefer PC or are looking for some games to try on the Steam Deck these are good options.
The AC 2 games were my favorite in the series for a long time and then Origins and Odyssey came out. Titan fall 2 is not talked about enough, its such a rad game. The trine games have some of the most beautiful visuals.
I didnt like Mad Max when it first came out. I went back and replayed it during lockdown at the start of the covid pandemic and absolutely loved the game. Was sad when it finally ended. Like yourself I was so glad I gave it another try.
For PS4 some cheap recommendations: Batman Arkham Knight, Doom (2016), Infamous Second Son, and if you can find it cheap get the King's Quest collection.
I just got Concrete Genie on PS4 for under $3 from Kohl's when they gave me $5 in Kohl's Cash returning an Amazon item. Looking forward to playing it soon.
This was a really good list! Same for me and Mad Max. I don't know how I missed it the first time around. I just picked it up off eBay last week for $15 brand new on Xbone. It will definitely be on top of the back catalogue list. I really loved BF Hardline when it first came out. Very cool game. NFS Heat was a nice change of pace for a racer that isn't Forza Horizon.. Different feel and another fun story. Pretty good music too. I actually like 2033 and Last Light more than Metro Exodus. I bounced of Exodus after about 10 hours.
@@jponz85 No, I wouldn't call it boring. I would say it's actually pretty good. The story is great but I played the first two so I was pretty invested. Without spoiling anything, the way you tackle some main areas can impact your companions. I wasn't super happy with how some of these consequences turned out based on my own choices. Then I came to a point that had a bugged quest trigger so I couldnt progress. Rather than try to reload an old save or figure out a way around it I just kinda wandered off to something else. I will probably go back to it eventually. If you enjoy open-ish world and post apocolyptic stuff, you are probably going to like it. And as MJR said, it is dirt cheap.

Mad Max is one of the most underrated games of all time. The Arkham style combat is fantastic, the driving feels great, and it has the best vehicular combat ever! The world feels lifeless, but not empty. They captured the atmosphere of Mad Max perfectly, and honestly I think the story they told is better than most of the films.
Where I live the only way to get a good deal is a garage sale and there's not much out this way there's only one shop that sells vintage systems and games and the prices are ridiculous
I saw your tweet about ranking Need for Speed games, so I looked up a comparison of the 3 modern ones having not played them, 2015/Payback/Heat, and came to the conclusion that Heat was worth picking up. I only saw one review of it at the time that was a bit complainy, but looking back at it, it seems really quite good for that type of game. The sense of speed when you're good looks really nice, almost like Wipeout/Redout the camera pulls back so much.
I got rock band 2 for 6 dollars for xbox 360 it was complete even had the manuals for the drum kit and guitar. First time I've ever played a rock band game. Im more of a guitar hero person but i love the music in rockband is the masters of the actual artist instead of covers like in guitar hero.
I’m going to get Mad Max, I remember Battlefield Hardline, I picked it up for the XBOX, the game came broken, the developer fixed it, and it was amazing, but all steam on the game, had been lost, most of these games seem like hidden gems 💎.
Just went back and platinumed mad max a couple of weeks ago. Luckily had a clean glitch free save. Beware the platinum or 100% is now unobtainable now due to server shutdown linked to online feature. Hardline is good, but they have shutdown one of the DLC game modes as well.
I don't really say this, and have not seen those from other videos..... But this title you have this one should be changed to something like my top 10 list or 5 for games under 15. As a younger generation people like organized lists. I could see this small change really gain you a new level of subs

Titanfall 2 is one of the best games ever. It's a crime how Respawn has let it die by failing to sort out the server / "hacker" issues.
It’s sucks, man. I re-installed it the other day and the graphics and MP gameplay still hold up but it disconnects TOO much. Sad.

I loved Battlefield Hardline! Such a great game except I remember the last level felt unfinished. Definitely worth getting for less than $10.

Great video! And I'll admit I liked a few of those like Titanfall 2 and Mad Max and I'm not usually a fan of those styles. Lot of fun to be had with everything on this list. And Metro Exodus is an absolute steal at that price!
If you like Metro you should try Chernobylite. Open world apocalyptic with the map being all mapped out from the real Chernobyl. Really cool survival game.

I'd say, if you can find it, definitely get Driveclub. That game is a definition of a "hidden/forgotten" gem!

I don't see the purpose anymore in collecting 8-32bit stuff other than the reason of just owning the games. MISTer has just completely fulfilled that urge, with it's accuracy and excellent replication of all the old systems programmed into the FPGA. I collect for the PS2 and upwards, but it feels so good not needing to fork out $500 for a rare Megadrive game or whatever. There are so many cheap good games for the PS2, PS3 and PS4, it's more than enough to keep me busy for a very long time

AC Origins is a gem. Like you said, I also came back to AC after skipping a bunch of them. Origins just pulled me into ancient Egypt and I loved it, the atmosphere, music, exploration, ... All brilliantly designed!
Titanfall is the most underrated series of all time. Insanely smooth and engaging gameplay. So many more people need to pick this up!

I missed out on the entire PS4 generation but just recently got a PS5. The deals on games I’d been wanting to play are great. I might have felt like I was missing out for a while, but now I get to go back and catch up for a significant price cut without feeling like I’m playing very outdated games.

my favorite racing game was Midnight club Los Angeles.. you can find it for $10-15. more of an arcade racer but it still holds up today .. you should check it out
7:49 Totally agree. I picked it up right when it came out because it looked promising to me and boy was I right! I really enjoyed it and did literally everything you can do! Got all the collectibles in it and all trophys on PS4. I sold my console recently with this and a couple other games but if I ever get a PS5 i'll definitely get this game with it!

I didn't really think I'd like a game like Mad Max but it's excellent. All of the side quests and scavenging is actually fun and addicting. I think I spent roughly 60 hours into it and found it hard to put down. It's even cheaper on PC and well worth it.
It’s crazy how few games actually held their value on the Xbox One and PS4. So many of them are ridiculously cheap now, and it’s awesome!

The AC 2 games were my favorite in the series for a long time and then Origins and Odyssey came out. Titan fall 2 is not talked about enough, its such a rad game. The trine games have some of the most beautiful visuals.

I didnt like Mad Max when it first came out. I went back and replayed it during lockdown at the start of the covid pandemic and absolutely loved the game. Was sad when it finally ended. Like yourself I was so glad I gave it another try.

Metro Exodus has a lot more to offer on the Series X/PS5 as far as graphics and I got my SX copy for $15 with all the DLC.
Metro is not based on "some" books but on international best seller Metro series.
I got Just Cause 3 and 4 for under $10 and Shadow of The Tomb Raider is a criminally underrated game that you go can get for under 15 or 12 bucks! 😉

Yeah I was watching my friend play a good bit of Mad Max and it was surprisingly pretty good.
I just got Concrete Genie on PS4 for under $3 from Kohl's when they gave me $5 in Kohl's Cash returning an Amazon item. Looking forward to playing it soon.

This was a really good list! Same for me and Mad Max. I don't know how I missed it the first time around. I just picked it up off eBay last week for $15 brand new on Xbone. It will definitely be on top of the back catalogue list. I really loved BF Hardline when it first came out. Very cool game. NFS Heat was a nice change of pace for a racer that isn't Forza Horizon.. Different feel and another fun story. Pretty good music too. I actually like 2033 and Last Light more than Metro Exodus. I bounced of Exodus after about 10 hours.

@@jponz85 No, I wouldn't call it boring. I would say it's actually pretty good. The story is great but I played the first two so I was pretty invested. Without spoiling anything, the way you tackle some main areas can impact your companions. I wasn't super happy with how some of these consequences turned out based on my own choices. Then I came to a point that had a bugged quest trigger so I couldnt progress. Rather than try to reload an old save or figure out a way around it I just kinda wandered off to something else. I will probably go back to it eventually. If you enjoy open-ish world and post apocolyptic stuff, you are probably going to like it. And as MJR said, it is dirt cheap.

Mad Max is one of the most underrated games of all time. The Arkham style combat is fantastic, the driving feels great, and it has the best vehicular combat ever! The world feels lifeless, but not empty. They captured the atmosphere of Mad Max perfectly, and honestly I think the story they told is better than most of the films.
Where I live the only way to get a good deal is a garage sale and there's not much out this way there's only one shop that sells vintage systems and games and the prices are ridiculous

I saw your tweet about ranking Need for Speed games, so I looked up a comparison of the 3 modern ones having not played them, 2015/Payback/Heat, and came to the conclusion that Heat was worth picking up. I only saw one review of it at the time that was a bit complainy, but looking back at it, it seems really quite good for that type of game. The sense of speed when you're good looks really nice, almost like Wipeout/Redout the camera pulls back so much.
I got rock band 2 for 6 dollars for xbox 360 it was complete even had the manuals for the drum kit and guitar. First time I've ever played a rock band game. Im more of a guitar hero person but i love the music in rockband is the masters of the actual artist instead of covers like in guitar hero.
I’m going to get Mad Max, I remember Battlefield Hardline, I picked it up for the XBOX, the game came broken, the developer fixed it, and it was amazing, but all steam on the game, had been lost, most of these games seem like hidden gems 💎.
Just went back and platinumed mad max a couple of weeks ago. Luckily had a clean glitch free save. Beware the platinum or 100% is now unobtainable now due to server shutdown linked to online feature. Hardline is good, but they have shutdown one of the DLC game modes as well.
Bloodstained can be picked up cheap and is an amazing 2d Castlevania clone.
Shenmue I&II, and Shenmue 3 are usually right in this price range.
I don't really say this, and have not seen those from other videos..... But this title you have this one should be changed to something like my top 10 list or 5 for games under 15. As a younger generation people like organized lists. I could see this small change really gain you a new level of subs
