The Standard Range...now called Model 3 or Model 3 RWD, is no longer with the NCA battery so you are told to charge 100% daily. Its being produced with LFP battery. Only the Long Range, Performance and Model Y Teslas need to remain at 90 or below due to the NCA battery...main reason why I would not get those models.
When you Tesla is out in the cold, in an uncovered parking lot in 20- temperatures for 8 - 10 hours (my work day), how long in minutes and many miles of battery charge dose heating the car (until the snow flake goes away) consume?
Thanks for the honesty, would love to ask you many more questions about cold temperature living with an ev. Very frustrating listening to big TH-camrs say shut up and just buy an ev,they are better in every metric over an ice car.
I agree with you. Tesla and EV's in general are not built with Canadian winters and harsh temperatures in mind. Although one can always make it work and it's relatively low price, it's a luxury item and not a practical vehicle. The built quality isn't great and the conditions of our roads do not help make a case for it. Batteries are expensive and not everyone is qualified to work on a Tesla. Overall, Tesla's are fun but a bad purchase for anyone in Canada really. There's more things that could go wrong than right. A similarly priced hybrid toyota brings reliability, good mileage and retains its value. I've opted for a lexus instead of a Tesla long range model 3.
I do not think the electricity price will stay low. I have been watching various people in Britain who have EVs, and it started out being rather inexpensive to charge and drive their cars. However, over time, as there were more charging points and restrictions on gasoline cars, the cost of electricity went up. And now, with some people driving on the main road, the cost to charge their car is the same as petrol. My cousin in Norway, as well, got a Tesla a few years ago, and it is an awesome car, but at the time, he also found electricity was offered free to charge in certain areas. But now he says that their electricity has run up 4 times what it was when he bought his car. You have to understand that the roads and infrastructure are currently being paid for by fuel, and as the economy shifts towards electricity, then based on supply and demand, there will be electrical increases because someone will have to pay for the road and the higher demand for electricity. It all sounds glamorous now, but this same thing happened to fueled vehicles when they first started too, and then the government saw them as a way to make money. I think the government is holding off on applying the charges they want to apply until a majority of the population switches to electricity, and then at that time, they will ban fossil fuels and run up the cost of electricity.
Once there is more Ev car the demand for chargers and the cost of electricity will go up and few cars will use the internal combustion then the demand for gas will be low and it will be more cheaper.
Interesting theory! I can see that happening but one thing that’s different with electricity is that we can always generate it ourselves and with technology advancing the way it is I feel like that will only get better. Now the government controlling us and telling us we can’t is definitely an issue
Trying to decide on 2 or 4 wheel drive, I don't want to spend the extra for 4 wheel, but I've heard rear wheel drive handles poorly in winter, is that an ICE problem?
I absolutely disagree with whatever’s been discussed here. Yes, these 5 things will make the experience of owning an EV better. But in no way you can conclude that these are mandatory in order to own a Tesla.
@@LifeInCanada concerns should be tied to resolutions; and the recent growth in EV sales is just one of the indicators that explains, no matter what adversities you face, you should embrace this change and help disrupt this fuel based industry. Thats all.

Thanks for the comment. This is something new to hear. Will look into it.
Yes thank you for making this comment very important specification
Yes exactly, important to consider
Tesla model 3 Worth in snow of Edmonton
Thanks for your video! What was the battery loss when the temp was around 0 degrees Celsius?
Not much, something about 10%
How much range are you loosing in the winter? I had a ford lightning and the range loss was around 40 to 50%.

شكرا على الفيديو - معلومات مفيدة
You mention it took 8 months to fix your car, did the service center give you a loaner car while waiting?
this is an important question.
We had a loaner arranged by our insurance but not for the whole period of time. Because it was a single car accident.

I love driving EV but it has its problems. Cold, battery degradation... Plug-in hybrids are good option too.
Здравствуйте. Подскажите пожалуйста сколько Вам стоит страхование на авто?
Finally a tesla video. Thanks much.
Thanks. Hope you enjoyed it!

4 wheel would be better for winter for sure. But we were driving several winters with the rear wheel version with no problem.
Cool video 👍👌👌👌👌👌
Thanks. Glad you like it.
Do you have to underspray your tesla.if yes who can do it properly?
No I did not.
How much it costs to install the 240 plug in your house ?
$500-$1000
Yes, $500-$1000 depending what electrician will charge you.
nice
Thanks
В общем тема еще сырая. Проще еще покупать малолитражные авто и с ними меньше гемора.
ID.4 AWD is a cheaper alternative to Tesla Y if you want an SUV
Yes it is a good EV (would love to try one) but not easy to buy in Canada.
