I own at '21 Trail Boss I purchased at 4600 miles. Now at 26000 miles so far no issues at all. It has the 6.2L 10speed engine setup. I FREAKING love this truck.
2020 zr1/trailboss/full kit no issues regular and routine service used as a truck and don't mad max it. I love mine. 50k+ miles
Glad to see another one doing well. I have a 2019 Custom TB with 5.3 6spd with 43k miles. Zero issues. Love it.

Hello, I just recently traded in for a 21 custom trail boss and noticed an audible tick at idle. Would you mind telling me if you have hear anything like that or should I be worried? Lol
@@brooksmarshall3367 I'm at 45k miles now and I've heard that tick at idle all 4 yrs I've been driving it. But I can only hear it from outside the truck. Its not loud and never had a problem, so I just keep truckin.

My truck does the same. I believe it is the fuel injection system.
Just hit 100k on my 2019 trail boss custom. Zero issues at all.
I just purchased a 20 trail boss. Same color and everything. I have always been a Chevy guy and purposely bought the custom trail boss because it had the 6 speed and the 8 speed. Also had the more reliable AFM engine instead of DFM. That being said your channel is a big reason I bought it. Thank you for the info. I have put around 3/4k on mine. I love it. It does have leather which surprised me and looks to be factory. Also I installed a AFM disabler, flowmaster 40, Bakflip revolver bed cover, all LED bulbs and a shorty antenna. I for sure love this truck. THANK you for the great content. Please keep the truck and make more! God bless you!

Nice! But if its a Custom TB, then its not factory leather. There is no option for leather in the Custom TB trim. Someone had that added aftermarket.
@@4ME2DRV That is what I was thinking as well. It definitely looks factory. But I didn’t think it was a option.
Glad you have had good luck with yours. Lifters failed on my 2021 TB at 7K miles. Along with other major problems. Lemoned lawed it.

I have not had any issues with mine either, 2021 22k miles!
I’ve got 88k on mine. Runs great. Only true issue was a small hole in one of the engine oil cooler lines blowing oil everywhere. The gas cap cover door also broke
Nice review man. I got a 22 LTD custom TB with the 6.2 and dual tailgate. Almost 2 years and 27k mikes later the only issues I have so far is the gear shift lever sits kinda loose, the side mirrors plastic panels are loose and rattle on the highway, and I’ve got a squeaky belt (about to be fixed under warranty). The loose side mirror panels are from running it through a car war which also has put some streaks in the clear coat. I’m sick about it honestly, bought a brand new truck and have these issues (which are partially my fault). I don’t rag the thing out but still. Over all, having a v8, 4wd, towing cap, and dual tailgate make it a capable vehicle from my experience so far.
Sounds like a great truck! I personally do not have those issues with the shifter and mirrors in mine.. Was the serpentine belt the bad one?
@@limitedslipautomotive Yeah under warranty they replaced the idler pulley and belt. I don’t why it was squeaking so bad but it fixed the problem. The mirrors being rattly was caused by the car wash but I’m going to try to tighten up the panels
I got a 21 duramax. I get about 25mpg. My best was 30. And I get about 550-560 miles until empty. Still doing good.
About 10mpg better than this truck!
I love the look of the tires. I have this exact truck but with the original tires. What size are these? And do I understand you have a 2 inch lift?
The tires are GoodYear Wrangler UltraTerrain AT 285/65/r20 (34.6"x11.3"). That is correct, there is a 2" lift kit that is made for the Trail Boss, netting a total 4" lift kit.
Have you had any problems with the 2 inch sst ready lift? I bought my truck around the same time you got yours and I’ve done lots of mods, but this is probably the only thing I haven’t done. The reason I haven’t done it is because I heard you cannot run it on 4 auto which I like to do. Do you run yours on 4 auto?
Absolutely zero issues with the lift. Per the recommendation not to use 4Auto, I have not used it. I do, however, switch in and out of 4Hi on the freeway during winter and have had no issues.

How’s the truck doing? Just picked up a 22 trailboss LTD and I’m loving it so far and it’s running amazing.. it did have 80k miles on it already 😅 but it was my upgrade from my 2010 Silverado LT with 210k miles on it.
So far she’s had zero issues! Just rolled over 45k. Been doing oil every 5k, did trans at 40k, and keeping everything well maintained. Hoping to get 200k out of her.
I own a 2007 Chevy Silverado Z71 5.3 no issues 155k miles runs strong, I really like the TrailBoss

Nice truck. I heard those bullet antennas suck for local stations and XM, is that true?
I don’t use the radio, but it will affect AM/FM. XM utilizes a different antenna on top of the truck.
Did you find seat covers that cover the middle seat in the front?
I have not been searching for a set.. I’m sure there is something out there though.

Trail boss is just suspension upgrade?
My friend got a '22 trailboss 6.2 10 spd. Pretty nice. I have a '21 rst, Z71, 5.3 8spd. I got it at 28k miles. I currently have 38k 😬 but so far, there are no issues, I'm happy about that. I haven't got the afm disabler.
Also, before I put wheels on, I used to get 18-24 mpg. I really miss that. My fuel range used to be 425 miles 😭 now its 314 as well, lol.

How’s the paint holding up? Especially the rocker panels?
Not awful, but not great. Sides are getting chipped pretty bad from the tires sticking out, front black bumper has a significant amount of rock chips. Otherwise its holding up better than some Ford paints I have seen recently.
Just got 3 months ago the equivalent truck in the GMC Brand minus the 2 inch lift and I took it on a Dirt road to see family. Coming back home I notice patin had chip already. It got me stressed out that it will fall appart in not time. My Old Sierra 2011 when I traded it in, had barely any chips for a 13 year old truck. They do not make paint like they used too.
Over all I got to say It’s a nice truck to drive very capable off-road… Just dont like the exterior plastic quality and the black interior I would have prefer a titanium grey.

I seen a truck very similar to yours, it had a illuminated bug shield on the front. Looked really aggressive, you ought to check them out.
Your windshield is already jacked up?
Perks of living in Colorado. They put gravel on the highways when it snows. I always get my chips filled immediately so they don't spread. This one happened down low near the wiper motors so it went unnoticed until it created a crack.

What brand window visor did you put on
These are some cheap Amazon ones. The Chevrolet parts catalogue has some nice ones that I will probably upgrade to, or WeatherTech.

I just bought 23 trail boss lt 5 miles on it when i took delivery so fingers 🤞. 40k omg what a price options are for idiots . Love the vid .
You got yours for 40k ? New interior
No I wish I paid 40k paid over 60.000 but it's semi loaded if that really means anything. Bell's and whistles aren't worth 60k + had a 2021 paid 51k for it it got totalled then bought a new one. Best of luck .
