According to chevy engineers they still have the long antenna because they have a large percentage of rural customers. They don't want that part of the market to suffer with radio signal issues because of a short antenna. Just a fun fact.
I would like to add to Mando's comment.... Where I live there are many underground parking areas, the factory antenna works as a quick guide to know if the truck is too high for the parking garage.
Ive had a zillion antennas on my cars over the years, never bothered me. At least it’s black! Actually, I think the tiny antenna looks more obvious. The short stubby effect sticking up making people wonder where the rest of your antenna went.
For the tint you can use the soapy water method. Works way easier. You can move it around while still on the headlight. Just move it around. Line it up. Squeegee out the water and use heat gun if need too.
One thing on the antenna. The antenna height is to let you know when you're about to rip the roof off the truck in the super low parking garage you just drove in to..: )

I'm pissed because I took it one night parket the truck away from other cars . came out and seen a tone of trucks around my truck but when I got home i notice a door ding... PISSED ME OFF... now I have to figure out how to fix it. Some people just don't care!!!!!!
Just tinted mine and did 30% ceramic tint on the windshield and you can see out great and can't see in. Blocks much more uv then regular tint! But def find a new tint shop paid 300 for the whole truck with ceramic. But great video!

Never did like that "fishing pole" antenna on my 2019 LTZ. Hell Chevy used to hide the antenna in the windshield decades ago. Wonder why they didn't keep that up? Anyway, I popped on that shortie antenna, because I never really listen to radio anyway, I listen to SiriusXM. Going to have my front driver and passenger windows tinted too.

Just get some better looking wheels and tires with an offset or get wider wheels and tires. Stock wheels don't look too great to me. And I'm a Chevy nut

Instead of blacking lights out I'm actually changing everything that dodnt come with the LEDs and I have everything. Turn signals (I'd definitely do that to yours. Makes them super crisp) license plate and reverse and the ONLY bulbs I cant seem to get to are those little marker lights! Do you have any idea how to get them out!? It makes me think they're already LEDs but they definitely dont look like it. Any help super appreciated!
So, what happens when you get in an accident with altered, non DOT, turn signals? Here you will get a minor traffic violation, but you would be on the hook for everything civil.
Good video but anytime you do a vinyl overlay over anything that has a border, you install it from inner border to inner border. That why you see orang from the front. You laid it wrong. Look at the gap in front showing orange you will notice the back part has the same length over border. Inside border to inside border.
The difference in that short Ant. will show up on a trip away from the place you live when you start losing your radio stations at a shorter distance out of town than the longer high DB rated factory Ant. I realize most people don't have a garage to park there truck in but I do and i have a golf ball hanging from the ceiling that I line up with Ant. so I'm parked in the exact same place so I can shut the garage door and still be able to open my fridge or freezer I have in the garage.
I got this same antenna. My HD channels sometimes cut out but I don’t listen to the radio much. I play most of my music through my phone. This antenna does look great though vs the factory antenna. A nice cheap addition!

Loose the Crome wheel lug nuts and replace them with gloss black ones, it will look sleeker and make the black wheels appear to float.

5% all around and 35% on the windshield. Privacy and it's much cooler in there with ceramic tint

Get you some 1.5 inch hub centric wheel spacers for the stock wheels. What a difference. Did my 19 Boss Custom and it has the right stance...

I just got a trail boss on Thursday and the first thing I got for it and installed today was that same antenna!
I put a small dab of blue locktite on my stubby antenna just in case someone wants to steel it from the truck. It won't be easy to remove it.
Dude, use a soap and water mixture in a spray bottle, then apply stickers, tint, etc. Rookie.

…the tall antenna doubles as a clearance check for the roofline…if you flex the antenna, you will likely scrape the roof in a parking garage..

Couple drops of Dove soap in a spray bottle. Plastic spreader. Finger prints will show up on the back.

Where did you get those running boards. I have been trying to find those exact ones without any luck so far.
I just ordered tyger blade running boards you can see some pics of them on Amazon with the trail boss. Took a gamble on them 🤞
