Can confirm on the battery part. Was borrowing my friend's 14 Ultra and after only an hour or so dropped from 40% to 20%. No idea how it's that bad after the 13 Ultra has good enough battery life. Either the camera is sippin all that juice or Hyper OS isn't as battery efficient as I like. Or screen who knows. All I know is battery is it's weakest link
HyperOs is very very very bad for battery. My pad 5 went from 5 days to 2. That's not at all the same user's experience.
I totally agree with the battery draining 🙃. It's awful. Even when it is screened off, the battery is still draining like crazy. Wonder when will this issue be fixed 😢

Talkong about the camera grip. They should add the 3.5mm mic jack as well on it or allow for the USB-C to OTG on the grip so we can use wireless mics with the grip on.
Yes! That is a great idea about the 3.5mm headphone jack! And we know we will have to wait for a while and me longer 🤣🤣

Xiaomi 14 Ultra or Vivo X100 Pro - battery, gaming, photos, display? Maybe you can compare Vivo vs Xiaomi - after updates?
as a xiaomi user, vivo software is better, but only the chinese versione, also it's getting android auto
Honestly, only the tele is good on vivo. I returned it and now own 14U. But the lens fogging can be an issue for some.
Would you choose it over the vivo x100 ultra (considering the UI , gaming experience, multitasking and for sure the cameras)?
honestly I would realisticly say they are on 1 line for me, the vivo is more consistent, better macro, nicer modes for portraits, and better battery life. The xiaomi 14 Ultra has the better photography feel in shots where characther really matters, and of course a global version.
I am a supporter of paying the least attention to software bokeh. It still remains a poor attempt to imitate natural depth of field, which in itself is an amazing optical phenomenon. Depth of field is not just separating the foreground from the background, it is an opportunity to capture the magnificence that nature gives. I think artificial bokeh will never be able to capture dust particles in the air that fall into focus and smoothly disappear, expanding in space as they move away. Like the ends of hair in the rays of the sun. But now you can already observe this when photographing from a close distance. I'm just waiting for mobile photography to reach a new level.

Hello, how does Always on work on X14U? Does it turn off in dark room even when it's set to be "always on"?

Very interesting review, feedback and personal thoughts and experience at the same time. Just wondering whether you would pick up the Galaxy S24 Ultra over Vivo and Xiaomi if looking at photography + battery life? I had it for a few days along with OPPO Find X7 Ultra and was pleasantly surprised. Cameras performance appeared to be a way better than I thought. Cheers
Thank you;) and no, s24 ultra great software, love the display, camera is however pretty poor! Not only dies it laxk character or any feel, it also struggled in daytime with noise in some cases, and over sharpening. On my through jermaine's lens i did a few videos on it to showcase how it performs
Do you also have that issue where the grip keeps charging even when it's 100%? And even when the option to stop charging when it reachs 80% is enabled...

The camera does sip the juice of it but its an incredible device and i am very very happy with mine. Especially since the pixel 7 pro let me down big time
Im currently using the mi 11 ultra, should I get any of the current flagships or is it better to just wait for next releases?
I would say we are getting closer to the new releases, so wait and see what that offers, if it isn't much more then the 14 ultra, you can at least get that 14 ulta on a discount because of the new release.

For me easily Xiaomi, s24 ultra was very lackluster for me when it comes to the camera. software is good though

Does your 14 ultra have a lot of sounds when you rotate or shake your phone? sound from the camera OIS I mean
It's just the hardware. Once you go into the camera app, it will disappear 🥹. You can try shaking your phone while in the camera app; the sound disappears.

And stabilization is very bad at x30. Impossible to shoot
@@andylive974 Once I faced this issue, but I switched to pro mode it became ok. because stabilizer in pro mode is always working, to for just zooming

I have heard that yes, but i haven't experienced anything like that

Battery problems, that other phones doesn't have. Ehm, you obviously never tried other phones. S24u can't survive 1 day on the slightest heavy usage.
I didn't bring any other phone into the conversation when it comes to battery life. Just saying it isn't good at all on the 14 ultra
@@Conceptcreator you did mention 'not like others', when talking about the battery. So yes, you brought others in the conversation by saying 14u was bad on battery. But you didn't mention other brands, that's correct.
I'm still to try a Xiaomi, perhaps next year will be the year. Great review as always, surprised about the battery life 😮
