    Duncan is GOAT lvl.
Bird is possibly the all time GOAT 🐐

Duncan is definitely underrated - he wasn't flashy. It's hard to rank the greats. Duncan, Magic, Bird, & Russell were really smart players that seemed to see where everyone was going on the whole court.

Havlicek won 2 championships - as captain after the Russell era-- the smallest team in the league, but with an incredible fast break. He could play 48 min and never slow down. I'd at least put him up a level with. Doctor J and George Gervin.

Hondo was a fantastic player with unlimited energy.

@@arautus True. It has to be a to game plan against a player that plays 48 minutes and just keeps getting better. In tennis Serena Williams seems like she just kept getting faster and had her opponent figured out and worn out in the third set.

I still don't understand how this younger generation still refuses to give Larry his props. My all time top 3 are MJ, LARRY and LeBron, MJ is the clear #1 to me, I give the slight edge at 2 to Bird, partially because he went 6-0 against MJ in the playoffs. The game back when Jordan and Bird played was a lot tougher. games routinely ended with both teams scoring less than 100 points. The stats nowadays are so inflated. Teams scoring 140 in regulation. LeBron could play back in the Jordan, Bird Era, but not many others in today's NBA.
(p.s. my 4th and 5th players are Kobe and Magic)

Those of us who watched Larry Bird have the advantage of those who didn't. We got to see all the players since his retirement. Larry Bird is the second greatest player the game has ever seen. To me, Michael Jordan is the number one player.

Yes. Growing up near Boston in the 80's was a special time to be alive.. So many nights at the Garden

People feared playing Bird. No-one in today's NBA strikes fear like that. Noone was taking games off for "load management " , and the game was WAY more physical back then. Take some time to really watch some of the games from the mid 80's to the mid 90's. Look at all the clutching grabbing, straight up mugging guys. The league nowadays is soft. While I do think LeBron is one of the few players whose game would still be relevant in the Bird Jordan era, his constant flopping wouldn't be. Steph Curry in my opinion the best shooter (besides Bird) I've ever seen. Curry would have a lot of problems trying to play back then. Also, if Bird was playing in today's NBA. he'd destroy everyone. He's already the (in my opinion) best and most clutch shooter of all time, and if you watch the old game footage, 99% of the time he had someone pulling on his jersey or throwing a forearm to the back as he was shooting, and he still made the shot

Bird also would have to keep up with todays pace and being able to switch on physically dominant players in the forward positions nowadays

Wow, the 2 men responsible for saving the NBA are tier 2? One of which is only 3 people to have 3 consecutive MVP’s. Same one smothered Jordan from getting a ring while he was around. Played his whole NBA career with a finger injury leaving his right index finger shaped like a boomerang, permanently bent toward his thumb at a 45-degree angle which two operations failed to straighten and can bend it only halfway to his palm. Same guy that played through injuries that would sit the “King” for a season….. guess I may be just biased. Watch the making the case Larry Bird video and I also suggest The untold story of Larry Bird and the Five times Larry Bird played injured.
