I being blunt, Larry bird is the second greatest small forward because he is a better passer, rebounder, defender and higher iq than KD and has accomplished more in his short career than KD has currently. Bird and Magic literally dominated the 80's with 3 league MVP's and 3 titles and we hear the stories. But those guys keeps picking KD over Bird is very infuriating. Then you have Magic in 12 years won 5 championships 5 league MVP's been in the Finals 9 times but somehow LeBron is number 2 all time winning 4 finals and lost 6 in 20 years. None of these guys look like they’re in their 50s so how can they say Bird when all they can see of his game are highlights. I was 10 when both Magic and Larry entered the NBA and followed them along with Dr. J dominate the NBA in their entire career. KD is a high skilled player but Bird and Magic played with basketball IQ off the charts. My opinion KD as a scorer is comparable to Bernard King of the Knicks that basically scored from anywhere he wanted against Bird and Magic yet he never got passed the Celtics to make the finals. Magic and the Lakers had no other competition in the West, but Bird had to hold back, Dr. J, MJ, Isaiah Thomas, Patrick Ewing, Dominique Wilkins, Charles Barkley to get to the finals. He got 3 rings, against Magic, Olajuwon, Ralph Sampson and Moses Malone. Its Bird basically on all aspects.
You can watch like 200 Larry bird games just on youtube. It really is not that hard to do also you can find all his finals games pretty easily.
