At least there's music, imagine going to buy some groceries and the store blast commercials in your ear that are narrated as soothingly as super bowl commented and also on a repeat. It's impossible to pick up something new when all your senses are fully occupied and fighting for your attention. Try reading a small print or navigating unknown aisles while a jock shouts into your ear. And the worst thing is, it's in all of the shops, I have to wear headphones. Honestly I would trade it for a raving barbershop in a heartbeat.

Probably for monetization purposes, I think majority of people would appreciate music in a place like this only with lower volume just for the atmosphere and vibe.

honestly looks much better now, doesnt look like hes hiding anything at all now but has still kept his curls. Will probably just take abit of time to get used to as he hasnt been used to seeing as much forehead
I was thinking the same, I think in a way he looked better before, but only because he had a better hairstyle, but counter intuitively the hairstyle he had wasn't for him, too much hiding which is obvious and too much skin, it's kinda conflicting feeling, but I think that comes from his hair just being on the edge of both these hair styles, this one he has now is on the more suited "edge".
@@Xjaychax9 I think the current hairstyle looks strange. Its combed forward, as if it's trying to hide his hairline but is not long enough to do so. If your hairline is high, then either comb it forward like he used to do or 'embrace' it and do something else with it..but this is this weird thing in the middle wheree his hairline looks too big, yet because it's combed forward, it gives the impression it's even bigger. These hairstyles of these days where they comb it all forward, yet cut the front shorter relatively to the back look weird overal. It's just not how hair would ever naturally fall, and neither does it look like how hair can kinda look when you come out of hte water, like it fallng backwards like a pompadour. I think he looked way better before and even it moves, is it so difficult to put it back? even if people see it, you're not really nessisarily trying to hide something, but rather try to frame the face as optimal as possilbe and with current hairstyle it looks like a failed coverup, cause its not long enough to do so.
He looks amazing! So handsome and stylish. I appreciate how Dan complimented the client for having the guts to talk to his buddies. He’s so encouraging and real! He makes it safe for men to talk openly about their fears, doubts and questions. Bravo! I love this channel.
You can see Dan looking at the head shape right away in the consultation. He knew he could work his magic and of course he did as usual. Looks great !

yeah.. but i think after 1 month it will be looks much fuller and balance than in the begining. He needs to start minoxidil and fin quickly tho

I’m a 76 year old woman living in South Africa. You could be excused for wondering why I watch these videos. Dan, good to look at. So understanding with the guys. And very interesting to see how Dan approaches the cutting.
When I was a kid our mom cut our hair. The buzz/drone and massage of the clippers would literally put me to sleep. Listening brought back memories. An item on a bucket list would definitely be getting a haircut by Dan.
I was so happy for this handsome young man!!!😊 As the haircut started to look promising I could see his face start to relax as he was holding back a smile. What you do is not only excellent and proffessional but also kind,💜 everyone that I have seen sit in your chair has been treated with so much genuine concern and a desire to make them overcome their fear and feel confident, I truly believe that, that young man would have been fighting to hold back the tears if he had lost his great curls, It was wonderful to see him walk out thinking of what his friends would say when they saw how great he looked. I'm pretty sure I could hear him yelling silently

For a split second, I thought it was Paul Mescal in the chair lol! Must be so difficult to be facing a receding hairline, going bald, but if you have an excellent barber/hairdresser with a skilled pair of hands, it can make a world of difference to your life and break that mindset of "just shave it all off". Great job. Really looks good on him.

Brenda exactly what I was thinking, I'm a straight guy and comfortable enough to agree with what you say, he's clearly took a knock in confidence coz the hair loss, I swear this guy, number 3 on top, keep that moustashe especially and beard and he's getting all the women! Rock that look, bit of swagger in his step - shit his mates will be worried about their birds around him lol ;)
Great cut that really suits him! An easy tip for drying curly hair to eradicate the frizz is to apply any old hair gel to gently patted wet hair, style hair and put into position then diffuse without touching the hair at all. Once 90% dry, gently scrunch the hair with hands and the crunchy gel disappears leaving defined curls (serum/oil hands first if the hair is very dry) x
The new haircut makes him look more mature. Not older, just like he’s a grownup and not a teenager. And now he won’t have those embarrassing moments when the wind catches his hair.
Of course he will.. that hair will still fly up and he will still be bald,., 🙄

You did a proper job on him with your design. Brought the attention to his eyes and face overall. Just needed to align up his beard so it becomes a completed package. The beard was out of place like dressing sharp but with wrinkled clothing ,after such a superb cut. You are a Rock Star Mr. Dan. Cheers from Tennessee!

Not always.Hair frames the face and there are guys that definitely look better with hair.It is an individual thing.There is no doubt though that the shaved look beats a comb over any day.

I feel bad for the dude. He looked great in the beginning but his hair and hairline got totally destroyed. Obviously he had to smile to the camera but it was more of a Hide the pain Harold type of smile. No wonder if he eventually decided to shave it.

We need way more barbers like Dan in Toronto, Canada. Sadly, there are too many hairstylists who lack the talent to deliver these type of high quality cuts and the experience to tailor the haircut and style to suit a client’s hair type, hair density, and face structure. Excellent show Dan.

Yes hair or lack of it is way down the list ! As long as it’s,clean and washed 😂 my father started,going bald I’m his late teens but a nicer more handsome man you couldn’t meet. As an aside we all have to be sympathetic to those who lose their hair during cancer treatment .

I laugh when I look in their eyes and they think that too much hair is being cut. They then realize in the end how it was necessary to get the end result.
This guy has great eyes, and that is a feature that he needs to have featured. This cut looks very good on him, without looking fake. Good thing he didn't just shave it, he's most def not at that point at all.
Don’t think the guy was satisfied with the cut, but I think the barber really made the mop he had on his head look more mature and clean. The guy will realize how good that cut is once he does decide to shave his head.

The amount of hair a fellow has on his head is really immaterial to me. A person’s character is what matters. To be honest the only time I notice hair loss is when the person grows their hair in unnatural ways to try to disguise it. Fixating on it seems to have such a crippling effect. Get on dutasteride or finasteride, and maybe also add topical minoxodil if you want to keep your hair and maybe even gain some what's lost. Since he went to a hair salon , means he isn't ready to go bald.

Definitely looks good and not past the point where he has to shave it. You'd imagine it's only gonna get thinner, so could consider just taking the plunge with the full shave and being comfortable with that style in the long term. I think embracing that's going to make him feel best in the long run.

With those gorgeous eyes and a lovely smile, I personally wouldn't have even noticed the hair loss; but when it's YOUR hair, I understand feeling self conscious. He probably could have rocked the buzz cut, but I'm glad Dan was able to retain those curls.
