Never thought I would spend fifteen minutes watching Haircut and Shave, fascinating...
You have obviously not seen haircut Harry then
Never thought I would spend fifteen minutes watching this while being bald lmao
me either 👌🏻
Me too 😅
@@CaboloNero Love Harry!!! Still trying to finalize our collab as well.
Already feel more civilized after watching this for 10 minutes. Very James Bond
😁
Truly
🤣
When your barber wears one of the most sought after Rolex watches….. you know he’s good!!!!
more like you know hes expensive.
@@mack0ka 🤷🏻♂️, yes I’m sure he’s very expensive, but he’s obviously very good, and I’m sure his rent is ridiculously high where he is
just for information - its either a "Hommage" looking quite similar - or a fake - wrong endlinks and no cyclops.. :D I am a watch guy and didnt like seeing this on his wrist. Video is very good in general. Thank you
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Probably a folex, no barber unless he owns the shop is making that kind of money.
When the Barber is wearing a GMT Master, you're not getting much change from a tenner.
155 quid for haircut n shave
@@Arfabiscuit Wait is this a joke or are you serious?
@@Jomaxp$120 for a combo haircut and hot shave in their Chicago shop. Not too bad really given the time used.
@@Jomaxp Yep he is serious. I think the max package costs £250.
@@EK00481 Well, the part with stopping by there on my next journey to London it’s probably gone then
The vibe and atmosphere in a high end barbershop like this is always so incredibly relaxing and comforting.
Agree. It's part of what you pay for. I for one am always happen to fork it over.
Gave this as an experience for my husband and nephew. They loved their time there and said they were treated exactly like this ~ so this treatment from T & H is not just for celebrities or TH-cam. This is how they do business. 💯
What do they charge?
@@heywoodjerbloumeCheck their website for their service menu and pricing. I may be in London in late summer and I am seriously think of getting the shave before my flight home. £55 for that. But that scalp massage sure looked relaxing. 🤔
@@heywoodjerbloume 155 quid for haircut n shave
Local Turkish place does the same for £25
@@rajmehta6210is it as good with good products as well? Not hating I’m just generally curious
I have no idea why the algorithm suggested this video, but I'm glad it did. Subscribed. 👍
Lived in London a few years for work. T&H was about 15 minutes from my office building and I'd go nearly every week for a shave or haircut. The service was always phenomenal. One of the things I miss most about living there.
I miss the knife crime, the homeless, the beggars and, most of all, the smell of shit.
@@realfacthunt😂
How much did it cost
@@DrSanjayNatarajan What's shown in the video would be £120. £60 each for haircut and shave
@@user-dk2ol7pq6r I live in Thailand goofball, hence saying the things I miss.
Superb cut… Barber wearing a Batman Rolex👑
'Batgirl' on the jubilee bracelet I believe, but yes very nice!
I sincerely hope, we don't loose this tradition, like most things that are quickly slipping away. Really enjoyed this video.
Most of England is saturated with Turkish Barbers, which are money laundering fronts and drug dealers… some small villages have 3 of them - absolutely no way a small village has enough men to sustain 3 barbers….
My fantasy would be to spend a month in London, staying at the Savoy and seeing all of the sights, a concert at The Royal Albert Hall and O2, visiting Saville Row and having a full custom fitted bespoke wardrobe created with John Lobb shoes and boots, Lock & Co hats and all of the related accessories including custom luggage to bring it all back in. As many trips to this marvelous barber shop as I could manage - all the while chauffeured back and forth in a classic Rolls Royce or Daimler and dining at all of the classic spots. Always loved the classic British gentleman's style and manner - still do. Great post!
keep consooooooming
Just go. Do it!
@@CaptainWillard830 OK! Could you spot me about $150,000? A month at The Savoy would be about $35,000 alone! I'm good for it - I swear!
@@CaptainWillard830 That would cost tens of thousands of pounds. The cheapest room at the Savoy for a full month (I used July 2025) would be just shy of £27000 alone!
the Savoy is more for tourists, a real gentlemen would stay at Claridges
Before I lost my hair, I'd been going to T&H for about 30 years. I still remember going with my grandfather in the 1980s to their Old Bond Street address, then Grafton Street, before they moved to St James's. First it was Wendy who did my hair, then mainly Ola. Michael too sometimes, and even Mr Dennis would have a go every so often (when he could stand cutting it as short as I liked it as a student!), and there was always the friendly face of Mr James clearing up my bright red hair. A lovely little oasis of calm, and a fond memory. I recently found some big old T&H glass jars (presumably once for storing or disinfecting equipment?) in an antiques shop in Morayshire, and these are now part of my bathroom!
MY challenge these days is finding a quality barber to deal with my decidedly thin hair. It looks its best very short. Of course, it is the details around the edges that count the most. Then their are an old man's bushy eyebrows and the extraneous hairs that pop out of the ears and so on.
@@jamesellsworth9673 Sadly I think my barber days are over aside from the odd beard trim. Just so much quicker with some scissors, a trimmer, etc.
*Did you ever find your hair after all these weeks, old chap?*
Even I felt relaxed just watching this.

Barber is a honorable profession
I’ve had this haircut for this gent at Truefitt and he is phenomenal. A real passion for his work. Inspiring
Me just gazing enviously for 16 minutes lol. The man seems so knowledgeable about his craft. He's done a brilliant job. I wish I could live like this.
Yessir, a most excellent celebration of traditional ways.
The class and civilization in this video makes me hate every single haircut I have ever received in all my neighborhood barbershops. 🤣🤣🤣
The Englishmen may be proud and thankful to have such fine traditional companies. Please do this for the next centuries as well! I hope in heaven men will need such shops too.
Come to England and you will see, even in small villages 2, 3, 6 ‘Turkish Barbers’… which amount to drug and money laundering fronts. UK is a sinking ship sadly, invaded daily by 3rd world savages.
As I was preparing to visit London several years ago, I booked an appointment with T&H. It was one of my ‘bucket list’ items and I felt it was worth every penny. The staff were delightful and made for a great experience.
Pinnacle of classic work! Great stuff!
Observing the entire process has been very enjoyable
Getting shaved with a clean face is the most Kirby Allison thing that you could do...
Kirby is silly.
If he wore a bowler hat, it would be Kirby's derby. If he suffered from a lack of vitamin C, it would be scurvy Kirby's derby. If he staggered, it would be swervy scurvy Kirby's derby. There is obviously some arcane truth hidden here...or perhaps not.🤔
Kirby annoys me.
kirby tries way too hard
@@thlee3 he's a wanker dressed like a banker
Great video. Barber was a master. What a wonderful advertisement for Truefitt.
Thanks for the hard work, Tom.
Thank you
What a sublime experience delivered with mastery by a true consummate professional. Excellent video. Bravo.
Now that’s a service I would pay for!!!
I love the ticking of the clock in the background
0:07 Christopher Nolan casually walks in and out of the frame
Definitely not Nolan 😂
My lord, I clicked out of curiosity, but left like a sir!
This gave me the vibes of Kings men and John Wick's suit maker. Absolutely stunning
What a pro, the way he cuts and such, it's like he's on autopilot, he doesn't have to think about what he's doing because he is a master at it.
Decades ago, I stayed at Brown's Hotel. Their premises included 'Henry, the Gentleman's Hair Dresser.' Whenever I visited, I got an Edwardian haircut and Henry's own line of hair oils and whatever. He is also a barber worth remembering.
Really Truefitt & Hill is a must
in London. I bought there some
shaving creams and aftershaves. The quality is
superb indeed. Thank you
for your presentation, it was
amazing. Cheers.
Brilliant barbers. We need more places like this.
I always enjoy watching someone who is great at his or her craft. Very pleasant video.
Who knew watching a gentleman get his hair cut and pampered with an exquisite shave would be so much fun! Indeed, somewhat riveting! Cheers!
The world needs more places like this. 24 carat gold class all the way.
I have been fortunate to have experienced a head massage and facial from Michael at Truefitt & Hill - an hour of luxury. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Ohhhh how did tge algirythm find me im a middle aged mum but im loving this channel and feeling proud of my british heritage
How nice is it to watch someone get pampered!
After countless years and countless wasted dollars going to corporate hack shop, I finally splurged on a true gentleman’s barber shop I found in a nearby town. Maybe not quite the legacy of T&H, but man! What a difference! Worth every penny and I’ve never looked back. Now I want to go to London!
Amazing place, pure British class.
My new favorite ASMR video. Cheers!
Men's grooming, men's tailoring, history of male fashion and style, men going shopping in any capacity-- I'm fascinated by you guys.
Notice the host knows the barber, but the barber always addresses him as "Sir". It's good etiquette and customer service.
This guy is pro among the pros truefit guys should put more of his videos
When returning to the guards depotback in the early 70's i and my fellow cavalry men would have a similar cut and shave on the toilets of waterloo stn.
As a gentleman who lost his hair some thirty years ago. I am very jealous!
Same. Not 30 years though
Absolutely brilliant video, it has got to rank in the top 3 of this series. Inspired me to put some of Truefitt's West Indian Limes cologne on.
Well Mr Chamberlin, you clearly took one for the team on this occasion. Thank you for all your hard work.
Fascinating. Who would have thought watching someone having a haircut and shave would be so entertaining.
I need 6 seasons of this.
Love all your episodes. Hair does not all grow at the same rate. It varies due to age, sex, ethnicity, hair type, health, stress; the list goes on.
OMG! If only I could get that kind of pampering at the salon I’d be there every week without fail!
Indeed always an indulgence when in London followed by Curzon books near by ❤
Worth the penny! Relaxing. 😌
I really enjoyed this video, having never experienced anything like this. The presenter is excellent, seemed to enjoy his experience and offered an interesting historical perspective. Thank you.
Money and time well spent - looking sharp Tom!

Very nice and honest … thank you
I would love to have this done right now . I have experienced it a few times and you feel so amazing every time they are finished ...
Wow…one for the bucket list 🤔👍🏻
Fascinating process and professional cut and style I worked in a salon for a bit myself and never did men's cuts nor shaving and sure all his customers boast of service for sure. Interesting the method of washing hair opposite to anything I have done.
Great video. Love Truefitt & Hill, always an amazing experience, looking forward to my next visit!
Very nice. Excellent service. Will visit there asap.
You didn’t show the brand of shave soap since the lid was upside down but recognized the bowl as Taylor of Old Bond Street. It’s my favorite brand. I use sandalwood!
Truefitt most likely. I cannot imagine them using a TOBS shaving soap or cream😂
@@alexfranchuk9608 of course I was just going off of the shape and color of the soap tub as you can not read the top of the lid. That is the exact shape and color of TOBS sandalwood, but also of Truefitt’s ultimate comfort shave bowl.
worth every penny. looking forward to visiting later this year
I want this every morning. Bravo!
This is incredible! Love this so much. Wish I could afford this treatment.
Scissor game has to be on point for a proper haircut. Too many barbers relying on the clippers. You need scissors for finesse and shaping
This was so calming to watch, loved it
Tie, waistcoat, batgirl and skill. Well done, sir.
One of my adoptive father's favorite place❤❤❤👍🏻
Wisest 15 mins I spent on YT tbh
That looked absolutely wonderful, I would love it.
Brilliant. I know what I will be doing next time I am in London. Great video. Cheers from NZ
I was at Trufitt and Hill last year for a 50th birthday shave,

Wonderful video, keep up the good stuff!
A master of his craft.
I had a facial treatment here in the morning of my wedding day. Awesome experience with an abundance of history.
Then it all went downhill
Happily married with a new born on the way. Karma comes to those who are jealous 😂
It’s on my list. Wonderful. PureClass cheers
Great place I try to go when I am in London. Pleased to see Michael 👏🏻👍🏻🤜🏻

Whilst in India, a street barber cut my hair, vigorously massaged my scalp, put a finger in each of my ears and left me thoughroughly 'barbered'.
Worse places one could put their fingers, I suppose.
At least it would have cost a lot less 😂
Love that Lock & Co is across the street Historical spot
