  • Neil Coppendale interrogates Tony Blair live on Channel 5 about the invasion of Iraq and asks him how he manages to sleep at night.
    With the Chilcot Report in sight, at last, these and other questions will once again become the centre of national attention.
    This interview is as relevant now as it was at the time.

      I don't. If the world didn't give a damn two decades ago, why would they now?
      When you get an aircraft carrier to go confront the US, you can try to an arrest Bush also, and see how that goes.
      You might need to move on and stop the convenient distraction of old wars while being blind to what's happening in Europe and the Middle East today.

    • @caelan8819
      @caelan8819 3 ปีที่แล้ว +35

      eLTIMIMI, Yes, the US and UK governments granted export licences to arms companies that sold to Iraq. As I have said, it was the Thatcher Government and not Blair who granted the licences - and Blair was against them, so it is unfair to penalise or shame him for the actions of a previous administration 10 years prior. In regards to the US Government, the CDC sold or sent biological samples of anthrax, West Nile virus and botulism to Iraq up until 1989, which Iraq claimed it needed for medical research - not its WMD programme. But then again, why would you trust Saddam Hussein?
      You’re correct, UK weapons companies still export to Saudi Arabia which then uses the munitions to carry out airstrikes on civilian targets held by Houthis in Yemen, this is immoral and should cease but also bare in mind it was New Labour that banned cluster bombs and signed the Convention on Cluster Munitions.

So the Contrived Nation of Iraq contained both Sunni and Shi'ite Muslims, who were Always Enemies, along with Kurdish Christians in the North. @Rhythm Class Agreed. And if you really wanna know the whole story, here's your chance:
      8 years ago, I wrote and produced the most exhaustive documentary ever done on Iraq WMD. For nearly 20 years and to this day, I've been practically spit on for telling the truth on this topic (truth that takes both parties to ask). To claim that WMD wasn’t a lie should be like saying we didn’t land on the moon. In denying that reality, half the country helped create a culture where denying reality is now the norm.
      On a matter of world-altering consequence that involves mathematical certainty in centrifuge physics, this interview was woefully inadequate on specificity: th-cam.com/video/X9Si5T2EmZA/w-d-xo.html
      Given that I condensed a complex and convoluted story of that magnitude in 5 minutes, imagine what I did with 160:

      @@ahmedjagirdar2773 On what basis are you assuming the exact opposite of what I wrote? What does this statement mean to you?: "To claim that WMD wasn’t a lie should be like saying we didn’t land on the moon."
      Surely you realize that there are conspiracy theories that we didn't land on the moon. It's blatantly obvious that the war was based on lies, and for anyone suggesting otherwise, it should be seen as absurd as suggesting we didn't land on the moon.
      You could not possibly have looked at any of the links to my documentary, because I'm not simply saying it was a lie --- nobody on the planet proved it more than I did.
      I don't mean to be rude, but you need to be more careful in how you interpret information. If you don't understand right off, take some time to look at the links to see what someone is saying -- before you assume what they're saying.
      Yes, you asked a question -- and I don't mind answering. I'm simply saying that the courteous thing to do would be to take a gander at the links provided first.

I watched some videos about the explosions and the killing that happened in my country, and I found that the percentage of victims that happened in the war reached Half a million citizens, including women, children and the elderly .... I grew up in the civil war between religious sects in Iraq in the year 2006-2007. Killing in this war was like a game that people were killed only because of their names !! Two years after the end of the civil war, the occupying forces left the Iraqi lands, and four years later in 2013, I was 12 years old when ISIS attacked Iraq in Mosul, Anbar, Salah al-Din and other areas throughout Iraq. ISIS's takeover of these areas lasted 4 years, hundreds of thousands of martyrs, the government was embarrassed by what was happening, so it bombed the invaded areas by ISIS knowing that there were many innocent people in those areas and the bombing caused a sea of bloodIn 2017, the Iraqi army was able to defeat ISIS, but its bloodshed did not stop in Iraq, and now the reason for its bloodshed is Iran. This old crone sucked Iraq and stole its bounties and destroyed it, and Iraq now seized it. It is divided into several parties affiliated with Iran. Iraq is just a doll, and Iran is ventriloquism We have no freedom, work, future, and present. All you have to do now is only you living and purifying that you are subject to the supreme authority so, Blair, is Iraq really okay? What about me, am I fine? The western elite wants to get Kim Jong Un out of business, no doubt about it, but it's for other reasons than natural resources. There are geopolitical opportunities to getting a unified Korea, a Korea that will do the bidding of the USA.
