This is one of the most amazing scenes to me cause it honestly just shows how an actor deals with the fiction and reality of situations in dire ways. I absolutely love Hollywoodland and imo it’s still one of Ben Affleck’s best performances of his career.

When Ben Affleck has a really well done environment and clean scenes, it's clear he is very talented as an actor. In my opinion, he did his parts well as Batman and DareDevil, but mostly it's the fact that DD was shot in the early era of comic movies. And as Batman he was in the then Snyderverse, now Nolanverse? I get it confused, not to be insensitive, it's just been a long time and I haven't been keeping up. And that whole tangled ball makes no sense anymore. Seeing him in that George Reeves situation, it made it feel more real. Especially seeing as he clearly saw from the front it was loaded. Shows an experienced individual in showmanship right there.

Warner Bros. has to make an animated movie of Superman in the style of the George Reeves series. It should have certain nods, including attending a kid’s birthday party simply because he’s such a good sport. Best and most frightening scene in the movie…Ben Affleck’s acting reaction here is realistic… but what also adds to it is the gun looks like a .38 snub nose, small, but in the hands of a little kid, it looks like a big gun… the sight of those bullets in the revolver chamber makes it even more frightening as knowing it is a real loaded gun that can go off anytime.

I just found out about this movie right now. The irony that he played Superman literally a decade before being one of the most famous and well known Batman actors is just too good.

@@pats3212 well duh, BVS the movie itself being hated or loved is a different can of worms, I'm talking about his take on being a batman on that movie, just take a look at all BVS batman/bruce wayne clips on YT for a sample, you can see most of the people commenting on it were praising him.
When Ben Affleck has a really well done environment and clean scenes, it's clear he is very talented as an actor. In my opinion, he did his parts well as Batman and DareDevil, but mostly it's the fact that DD was shot in the early era of comic movies. And as Batman he was in the then Snyderverse, now Nolanverse? I get it confused, not to be insensitive, it's just been a long time and I haven't been keeping up. And that whole tangled ball makes no sense anymore. Seeing him in that George Reeves situation, it made it feel more real. Especially seeing as he clearly saw from the front it was loaded. Shows an experienced individual in showmanship right there.

Warner Bros. has to make an animated movie of Superman in the style of the George Reeves series. It should have certain nods, including attending a kid’s birthday party simply because he’s such a good sport. And maybe have Lois be a bit skeptical of Superman, only to be won over when he talks a kid out of shooting him with a real gun just because he wanted to see how strong the man of steel is.
Yes! Just like they made the movie with Adam West and Burt Ward in the old 66 Batman Style. They should also do one for Wonder Woman and have Lynda Carter voice the character one more time!

frightening scene in the movie…Ben Affleck’s acting reaction here is realistic… but what also adds to it is the gun looks like a .38 snub nose, small, but in the hands of a little kid, it looks like a big gun… the sight of those bullets in the revolver chamber makes it even more frightening as knowing it is a real loaded gun that can go off anytime.
Apparently this is a thing that ACTUALLY happened to George Reeves once and I really don't know if that's true but if it is it just cements the fact that every person that plays superman, IS superman.

and this is exactly why its important for children to understand that its not actually real, or... you could also say this is exactly why parents need to keep better track of their firearms, it only takes one single moment of carelessness for it to end in someones funeral.
I got to see this movie in a special screening for free like a test audience, I had no idea what to expect although I loved the cast, and I ended up thoroughly enjoying it!

And because of that he never wore the superman costume for personal appearances again. Unless he was on a stage very far away from the crowd. Most the time he just showed up as Clark Kent.
