I'm not entirely sold on the special effects. But I like this dark, brooding Supergirl. When she attacks, she unleashes herself, face forward, rageful. This actor and character have the potential for a great movie.

Among all the female superheros she is one of the best suitable casting for the role. She had to be badass in this character bcz she was not raised by sweet people. I absolutely love this version of Supergirl! That suit is everything and she has the figure to pull it off. Plus I feel she is more real in terms of emotion. The way she reacted when Zod said that "the infant did not survive". That's very real.

However a Supergirl movie would be a long ways off in a new DC universe, she does not have the popularity to lead it. Again they could Wonder women 1 or Iron Man and nail perfect casting plus great script but those are even lower odds. I am normally a comic purist so of course blond girl preferred but I really liked her portrayal and wish her and Keaton had more time and an actual ending as they were by far the shining stars in "the Flash". I'm surprised no one commented about her hair style that suits her so well with partial obstruction to her vision. The hair in a way creates the character of supergirl similar to superman's "kiss curl."
I gotta say Sasha Calle's Supergirl, or should I say superwoman, was something different. She played it very well, her as superwoman is the most realistic rendition I've seen of kyrptonain's last daughter.

Supergirl has always been a hothead, she didn't have the Kansas farmboy upbringing her cousin had. She was also 15 when her whole PLANET exploded, which on the plus side meant no more Kryptonian algebra test, and on the downside, everyone and everything she knew, including Mom, Dad, BFF, classmates, Kryptonian Chad, her favorite brand of Kryptonian ice cream, her Kryptonian geocities page, or the last season of Kryptonian GoT are gone. Meaning she has a screw lose. Or ten. Heck, in her comic she had to be TAUGHT to see humans as worth saving. And that's BLONDE Supergirl, who didn't land on earth and spent the next couple years locked in a Russian gulag being dissected and experimented on like this one.
I can't say I felt like the DCEU was wise to take on the Flashpoint paradox this early without there ever having been another solo Barry movie. In any case, can't fault the performances of Sasha Calle and Michael Keaton. I would definitely love to see more of them. This is also a beautiful version of the Super suit which of late has looked like a bland singular piece of blue with nothing to really break it up

Bro, you left out the best part. Her conversation with Zod was epic. "What did you do!!!!" I'd love to see a scene of superman losing his temper and screaming, and maybe building or mountains crumbling.
Even when she rages head-first into every conflict, her arms go back and she "wills" herself to practically slingshot into battle. She gets tired too quickly, though, which I am assuming is because she hasn't had enough time to absorb and store enough yellow sun radiation. Haven't seen the movie, so I am making an educated guess since her stamina should be almost unlimited. I would have liked to see her do more damage with her hits, though, since she has been shown to not really hold back. She killed most of those soldiers in the beginning when she was rescued, so a Kryptonian going all out with everything she's got should be practically world-shattering. I think most people have seen what can happen when Superman stops holding back or becomes evil. (Injustice) Here, Zod is still absorbing radiation and evolving as well, but Supergirl has apparently been on Earth a long time and it's not just sunlight that powers their cells, it's the radiation, which can penetrate most barriers and walls, so she should be much more powerful than Zod here, given she can also, already fly. Superman only had a real tough time with Zod because he didn't want to kill him accidently, but if Kara isn't holding back (also Kal), they should have been able to practically one-shot Zod into a steaming pool of grease.
So supergirl’s clothes are bulletproof too. Like in that first scene,it would’ve been cool to see her outfit get torn up when all those bullets were hitting her.
This is a inconsistency with many movies but there's prolly an obvious reason why the didn't do that 💀 it wasn't funny or cute in Fantastic 4, not gonna be funny not cute now either lol
If it wasn’t, with the amount of bullets she took, her gown would have been reduced to shreds. And, we can’t have that kind of thing in a PG-13 superhero movie these days. Better to use that rating for violence and swearing, because, you know… it’s for kids.
That prison break scene shows has fast she starts to adapt. At first, her punches are just basically haymakers. Slowly her punches get better and her moves more deadlier.
The Flash movie has its pros and cons, but obviously Sasha Calle as Supergirl broke it (despite the little screen time she has ❤💙) I hope she stays with her character in the new James Gunn DCU and that she is in the movie Woman of Tomorrow, I have faith that she could stay 🙏😢🙏
James Gunn universe is a clean reboot of all of DC, so no, it's confirmed that she is out, and in the future timeline of movies, videogames and television shows, there is no mention of Supergirl, so the character is out too. The main focus henceforth is New Superman 2025, New Batman 2026 and a lot of side character development
Against all my expectations, I LOVE this Super Girl ... She is not blonde ... does not matter ... I really like her unique fighting style and she has a great and unique personality .. quiet yet very focused .. (Also, why don't the bullets effect her prison clothes. Like, obviously because she's shot a lot and would basically be nude by the end of it, but like, at least show a couple holes or something)
they missed one detail: when someone's head get punched by a superman/girl, it should be instantly blown off to a pulp. the fact that the human just flung means that humans is almost just as strong as superman.

Is their a very small chance if the fan reaction was enough? Absolutely.
However a Supergirl movie would be a long ways off in a new DC universe, she does not have the popularity to lead it. Again they could Wonder women 1 or Iron Man and nail perfect casting plus great script but those are even lower odds.
I am normally a comic purist so of course blond girl preferred but I really liked her portrayal and wish her and Keaton had more time and an actual ending as they were by far the shining stars in "the Flash".

I can't say I felt like the DCEU was wise to take on the Flashpoint paradox this early without there ever having been another solo Barry movie. In any case, can't fault the performances of Sasha Calle and Michael Keaton. I would definitely love to see more of them. This is also a beautiful version of the Super suit which of late has looked like a bland singular piece of blue with nothing to really break it up

Bro, you left out the best part. Her conversation with Zod was epic. "What did you do!!!!" I'd love to see a scene of superman losing his temper and screaming, and maybe building or mountains crumbling.
Even when she rages head-first into every conflict, her arms go back and she "wills" herself to practically slingshot into battle. She gets tired too quickly, though, which I am assuming is because she hasn't had enough time to absorb and store enough yellow sun radiation. Haven't seen the movie, so I am making an educated guess since her stamina should be almost unlimited. I would have liked to see her do more damage with her hits, though, since she has been shown to not really hold back. She killed most of those soldiers in the beginning when she was rescued, so a Kryptonian going all out with everything she's got should be practically world-shattering. I think most people have seen what can happen when Superman stops holding back or becomes evil. (Injustice) Here, Zod is still absorbing radiation and evolving as well, but Supergirl has apparently been on Earth a long time and it's not just sunlight that powers their cells, it's the radiation, which can penetrate most barriers and walls, so she should be much more powerful than Zod here, given she can also, already fly. Superman only had a real tough time with Zod because he didn't want to kill him accidently, but if Kara isn't holding back (also Kal), they should have been able to practically one-shot Zod into a steaming pool of grease.
This Supergirl has a wide, deep streak of Amazon warrior in her.

That prison break scene shows has fast she starts to adapt. At first, her punches are just basically haymakers. Slowly her punches get better and her moves more deadlier.

James Gunn universe is a clean reboot of all of DC, so no, it's confirmed that she is out, and in the future timeline of movies, videogames and television shows, there is no mention of Supergirl, so the character is out too. The main focus henceforth is New Superman 2025, New Batman 2026 and a lot of side character development

Against all my expectations, I LOVE this Super Girl ... She is not blonde ... does not matter ... I really like her unique fighting style and she has a great and unique personality .. quiet yet very focused .. I dont know the actress but I would sign her up to play Supergirl in her own movie in a heart beat ... best part of this movie ... and she is so hot ...

She was more like Power Girl than Supergirl. More aggressive than any of the Supergirl source material outside of the New 52 Red Lantern arc.

Great actor doing the best with what she was given. And honestly, I hope she gets her own movie, because she was easily the best part of the movie. (Also, why don't the bullets effect her prison clothes. Like, obviously because she's shot a lot and would basically be nude by the end of it, but like, at least show a couple holes or something)

when someone's head get punched by a superman/girl, it should be instantly blown off to a pulp. the fact that the human just flung means that humans is almost just as strong as superman.

She's not comic accurate but I think sasha calle did a good job with what she had to work with. Although the choreography could have been smoother her punches looked cheesy compared to say man of steels fight scenes. But seriously props to sasha, I definitely wouldn't be opposed to see her again as super girl.

But COmpared to the Man of steel movie which is pretty old now these hits.. and moves 0:16 look that.. so fckin goofy and slubber.. feels dumb for me. the face acting and others i loved her play. but this Hand fight... Really similar to Batman in the Dark knight when he escape the skyscraper... and hit down enemy with 1 hand 😆😆😆
