A white boy brought the soul of black music to a white audience, and they had no idea what hit them. So much so, that they down right just declared it Satanic. Little did they know that there was even stronger versions of this in black church communities! These people never experienced music with that much energy, and power in it!

I love Sam Phillips laugh after the first girl screams, then his wife loses her mind. Austin was so good he could legit go tour on those old rockabilly tunes. This movie was so freaking entertaining.
I wouldn't say the world. Like every artist he had haters that wanted to see his downfall. Mainly the older generation that didn't understand the concept of rock and roll. It was the new rad among the young generation.
At first I thought this is all an exaggerated verion of the real life source. Then I saw the original You aint nothin but a houndog live cover, those girls literally screamed at every single movement that Elvis does just like how fans screams at k-pop artist/boy band of these days. Imagine being one of the first humans to see the birth of a Rock/Pop Idol . This scene shows how he is literally the first pop/rock idol artist in the world.
I can't speak for the accuracy of the story here, but the scenes from Elvis's childhood and the two performances (the Arthur Crudup and the revival) really built up to this scene perfectly. In both the Crudup performance and the revival you see, not only the musical elements of Elvis's style, but the energy that he brought to it. The secular side - that is, the power of physical attraction - and the sacred - the feeling of being uncontrollably swept up in the energy of what's happening around you (In the words of the minister in the revival scene, "the spirit") - collide with each other, and the results are Elvis's performance and the audience's reaction to it. 1:41 - this part never fails to give me chills.

I had about a 3 hour flight Vegas and I got headphones and went through the list of movies. So on the way to Vegas I had enough time to watch one and I choose the new Elvis movie with Austin Butler. I kind of liked it but not the role that Tom Hanks played as Colonel Parker. That bothered me,knowing he got away with so much and hurt Elvis over the years, and No one intervened. Plus Austin didn't look like Elvis like some of the other Elvis movies. On the way back home, I decided to watch it again, the second time. For some reason, I Loved It! Austin didn't have to look like Elvis to play Elvis. That's how good the movie was. He knocked it out of the park. I ignored the only movies Tom Hanks did Bad...seeing that all his other movies were Hits! I loved Elvis the movie. A remarkable job!!!!

That guy is Sam Phillips..
He knew what she wanted😅
1:41 the way he did that was so satisfying for some reason 😂
Omg, i live in Tennessee, love the blues, even my grandaddy looked like him, just before Elvis was known. I can't describe how in love with this i am. It gotmy attention, immediately, and this film ffs, is amazing. Didn't think id like it.its AMAZING
Love this scene!! I can understand why the girls went crazy for him. I mean the looks, the moves everything!! Austin Butler was phenomenal in this movie. He didn't win the Oscar for this amazing portrayal; what a joke!! He was robbed, plain and simple.
I honestly think this scene is over exaggerated for laughs. The ladies liked him because of all his attributes not just one
Brendan deserved it just as much as he did.
@@MasherSmasher-yc6vv Brendan didn't work as hard as Austin did. He put all his heart and soul into the role. He should've won the Oscar.
@sherrysaunders3445 he literally did tho, the dude came back from basically a Hollywood blacklist and gave his best performance. He literally deserved every bit of that Oscar buddy.
@@MasherSmasher-yc6vv Let's face it; Brendan's win was a pity win; it was the Academy's way of saying they're sorry for how he was treated and he shouldn't have won the Oscar based on that. Also, Austin won two awards when up against Brendan and he was in Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People of 2023 where Brendan was not.
The way the lady from the record studio stands up and screams is priceless!
It's been almost a year that I first time watch this movie and my thrilness with this scene which Austin nailed it incredible good won't go away!
"Hurt him? Looks like they wanna" is the best!
2:00 I DIED! LMAO!
She turned into a T.Rex lmaooooo 🤣🤣
Hot dam, he nailed it....
Im happy that Elvis got a proper really well done movie because he deserved it and Austin did a great job of playing him they were identical
Brilliant 🎉❤🎉❤
❤poland silesia
He did a phenomenal job capturing Elvis. Very very impressive. And I loved the movie.
Elvis goes beast mode
A truly great movie scene. The focus is mostly on the audience and how they reacted to him and his moves. The song is perfect in its pacing and how it speeds up and whips them all into a frenzy. Just perfect.
Chile I almost threw mi popcorn up in the air on this part. I lost it in the movies 2nd row.
Elvis is, was and forever will be a legend!
So cool to watch again . When I saw this scene in theater said omg who is this kid - Oscar is his - well - I since hv read watched anything & everything Austin - love him more . Best to hear him is wtf Maron podcast from Feb 2023. Austin’s honesty is amazing . ❤❤❤😊😊😊
The sound production of this movie is savage. From the amazing recording quality of vintage sounds to the mix with modern stuff is unparalleled. Unique masterpiece of soundtrack in cinema.
The greatest thing to happen to music , the greatest entertainer to walk the earth .
Mr Elvis Aaron Presley
❤ oho ooo wow what a great performance Austin Butler! U sure can swing it & sing it, Bravo 👏 👏👏🥰🥰🥰💃💃🧡🧡🕺🥰💜🥰👍👍
One of the best scene in the movie...epic
Must have been wild being Elvis, especially in the beginning
yep tbh, every guy wanted to be like him
I'd love to experience even one day of his life lol
Elvis was certainly brave to keep going on matter what.
I had the same thing happen to me in the 60’s.
I was a very handsome young man and girls catapulted themselves at me.
Shame I used to beat them
@@TonyChurch112because you couldn’t get it up?
Best movie about Elvis Presley ever made he was so dead on rest in peace king and awesome Job Austin Butler
The world never seen anything like it…elvis is the definition of “RockStar” life style…
Greatest Elvis movie u ever saw. The singing and dancing was amazing. Elvis was the king of Rock'n'Roll.
This was my favorite biopic movie and Austin Butler did great job capturing the essence of Elvis Presley.😍😘❤💖💋💘🤭
I'm pretty sure 95% of relationships ended in that night.

I love this movie so much ❤️💘❤️
I love you baby❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💘💘💘💘💘💘💘❤️
Never make fun of a guy that has the balls to wear pink
Back then, Colors don't mean any genders, boys can wear pink, girls can wear blue, it only became a thing in the 80s.
Pink was a commom color for men those Times.
@@paulorobertofrazao It only became blue in the 80s
Would someone really have said: "Get a haircut, fairy"? In the trailer, it was: "Get a haircut, Buttercup!"
Especially if the guy was named Elvis
I was never an Elvis fan but now I am after watching this movie, I only watched it because my grandma would play Elvis all through my childhood
I love this film so much! This clip is a perfect intro for elvis, love all the concert scenes! I felt like i was transported back in time! If only!
Please was the movie title😢
@@obasihelen389 it's in the title lol - Elvis (2022)
still can’t believe that this didn’t win a single oscar 😢
Fabelmans was also a movie that didn’t win an Oscar that same year either
Probably because it wasn't good...
@@closelaugh185To me it was. Oscars are overrated and scams!
It was awful, that’s why.
@@danielfox3003 splish splash your opinion is trash
I really enjoyed this movie, I saw it 10 times during our Family Reunion.
I only wish they could of got another actor for Colonel Parker. I doubt Tom Hanks Ever had a bad part, Until Now
"Why they hollering?" 😂 THAT. That is a perfect reaction for that era of music.
The Line, “he was the forbidden fruit” that really sums up Elvis.
The girl at 2:33 reminds me of the girl in the real Comeback special when he sings Blue Christmas. They zoom up on her there too lol
Any idea who the actress is?
endgeil....für mich die beste szene im film....top
I remember watching this movie the secord or third time, I started tearing up at this scene. I don't know why I did,
but damn man. Austin put his all into this role. I'm so proud of him.
I wished I was born on this time, I would have given anything to see Elvis perform.
I wish I'd seen Elvis in his prime. "The Comeback Special"- Hubba, Hubba!💋💖
"What are they hollerin' at?"
"The wiggle!"
"The what?"
Perfect.😄
I've been around a long time, and Elvis was pure animal magnetism!
Ther first time I watched this movie scene it felt as though I was under some sort of posession . Austin Butler did a really great job
I wanted to scream!😅
Exactly. Elvis had that magic.
A real MASTERPIECE ❤💯❤
Never ever will be nobody like Austin Butler and Baz Luhrmann. Perfection forever 👏👏👏👏👏Award winner!!!!!!
3:18 The only woman brave enough to go yup against hysterical Elvis fans - his mother.
I saw this movie 4 times in the theater. It was that fun. The dance scenes had us all shook up ☺️
Austin was great in this movie he deserved the Oscar.
Now I know what's "It's all about the hips" mean.
This movie editing was a real charmer
1:11 The Wiggle ❤️💙💛💜
😂😂😂😂😂
This actor is a master, no one could of played that better
This makes me laugh so hard every time hahaha I love this scene
Still remember, anytime you want to wish me happy birthday 😂, and the look on your face...hey 61 now
Love this movie my dad who passed was a massive Elvis fan I've watched it 9times tom hanks was epic
Such a great movie!! Acting was superb!
As a child of the 70s,
I remember seeing
His music as the first
Collection offer on TV that was "not sold in any store"
He was just fantastic.
❤Austin is by FAR… the best ELVIS
Hello there l have watched this TH-cam clip few times and l got be honest and say Austin Butler was really good as Elvis Presley..l have not watched the film just this clip..l was very impressed with this Actor.great job lan west
Wait till you watch the film. He absolutely slays the role.
The king of rock n roll
Absolutely love the way you sound together!! Love, light and peace be with you!
😂😂 all the guys are like, "what in the actual F**K is happening? "
Estaziados ... roupa cor de rosa e movimentos sensual...fora da curva 🤷🏼♂️
The KING is (and should always be) ...FLASHING!!!!
Being from Memphis I thought I would be biased. So I went into it skeptical, but Austin Butler killed it. Being someone who isn’t Elvis and portraying him better than any other music biopic has portrayed an artist is a feat.
I love Elvis Presley and I would love to sing it at my high school concert.
Notice how his voice is higher for this scene? I’ll bet this was before the King took singing lessons and his voice really blossomed. Hell of an actor Austin is ❤
I LOVE ELVIS PRESLEY
