I love hearing you guys go over the year with a critical lens. On the Shaw podcast, Hooper said no one outside of him and Thor were doing what was needed to be the best. Do you think that's a fair critique? Do you think the nutrition and recovery changes you're making are what he's talking about? Also, he wants the bale tote as well. Keep up the great work. You're the best.
@@edgethio yes it is a fair critique. I completely agree with him. If I don’t do these things and more, I won’t catch the lead pack. We all need to hold ourselves to a higher standard. This sport isn’t a bunch of fat guys competing in parking lots any more. We need to be true professional athletes 24/7 to stay at the top. The sport is evolving and it’s a great thing.
Lucas will podium at two majors in 2025, as he has the best and toughest strength coach in the business in Alec behind him. I feel very confident w/that prediction, given both their talents...
Definitely impressed with the year you had and I think you guys were smart to not do too many shows. In the past few years I've seen so many try to cram them in and end up injured or too beat up to perform. Take a well deserved rest and keep training smart. Can't wait to see what you do next year!
@@HattonStrength You're doing it right in my opinion.. I've been following the sport for a long time. You have plenty of time to train and get better, no need to rush. Good luck with buying a house, I'm finally in the market for my first, too (at long last).
Its been fun to watch you break into the top tier of guys. I was sitting in front of you at Giants in Vegas (before you moved) and it was a lot of fun chatting with you. I can't imagine you not getting an invite to Columbus.
Maybe talk to Stan Efferding about getting a good diet plan. He does duet plans for people in the NFL and many pro sports. Including Thor and Hooper's diet plans
Nah man, that moment when you won 3rd was one of my highlights of the event. That was some fighting spirit. Bobby hugging Coan after his deadlift, Maxime getting the 3rd implement (log), Hooper winning the overhead medley and the shock of Stoltman zeroing the stones were probably the other ones. I had you in contention for 3rd with Tom, the only shock to me about your performance was the overhead medley, I assumed the deadlift before it took way too much out you. Congrats again and hopefully you are invited to all the major events next year!
Lucas and team, how can strongman fans see more of the Canadian shows that JF Caron are part of? Are there any plans from him or others to showcase these athletes? That North America Strongest Man was a good show to watch (you streamed) and the ASM was good too and I watched it on official strongman. At the end of the day to grow the sport there should be a US/ North American centric point of view instead of a Euro centric base. If you follow strongman on TH-cam it’s very clear there’s a need for a US based opinion content creator. Entrepreneurs should pay attention to that.
im so glad you put most of the field in their places...majority of the so called "top" guys aren't really as strong as they think... mitch thor u n trey are the top guys IMO
Would love to see you and hooper go for an extremely heavy yoke … I’m not sure he’s beatable in this event but I’d love to see his demeanor change if beaten in his favorite / best event.
@@jaredhebert7724 I don't think that's true, because then they wouldn't have invited guys like Ragg or Hoath. The Rogue invites supposedly go out very early in the year. This means at the time, Trey would have still been injured, and as an organizer you can't bet on someone recovering from an injury like that on time, and Lucas at the time would have probably only done the Arnold UK.
People are going to know the name Hatton as well as they know the name Hooper. 2025 is going to be a great strongman year.
If you're not in WSM and the Arnold next year, it'd be criminal.
@@Micheldied I appreciate the confidence 😂
Lucas is my spirit animal. Absolutely incredible to see him live Colorado. Can't wait to see him again.
@@Shmooter looking forward to coming back for year 2 🤘🏻

Well done both on a great year for Lucas. Look forward to seeing what happens next year. Good luck!
It was awesome season for you! I can't wait to see what you can do at WSM.

I don't want to know what happens if Hooper starts training for yoke events.
Rogue needs to pay attention to the sport lucas hatton should have an invite over more than half the guys on that roster.
Get the Log Record when you can Lucas, not jinxing but you don't know what's gonna happen tomorrow.
this podcast was stupid hilarious. I was exhaling out my nose the entire time. Audible wheeze a couple times. 9.5/10
I'm just trying to figure out who they're throwing shade at when talking about the Rogue invites.
How good are you in a suited deadlift?
@@daviesugo7641 fairly good, but I admittedly need more practice!
Arnold classic 100 percent Thor mitch Tom trey metais you even and a few others
Love the non PC. The fact that Hatton and Trey arent at Rogue and some other guys are, is a complete joke.
rogue doesn't want too much competition for their former CrossFit golden boy
