At this point, Mitch has almost become something like an endboss of an oldschool arcade game. It's technically possible to beat him but you need to have mastered the game and hit a perfect run.
@@HattonStrength realistically, what do you think you couldve hit? Do you feel more confident after your last few top tier performances that you might be able to push Bibi on the record (or if anyone currently alive in strongman can push that meat monster?)
This has three potential to be a really close show, depending how Gav is coming in I'd love to see him doing well again. As i don't know on that my prediction (not based on as much analysis as yours admittedly) Top 3: Mitch, Luke R, Maxime, then Evan and Paddy so close behind.
Haha the Maxime callout on his recent stairs record vs you, great stuff. Good predictions there, hard to argue too much with that. Would love to see Luke R and Oleksii do really well here, sad that they're not back on top form currently
@@EllisThings it’s all love, after hearing that I’m sure Max is going to win the power stairs. A properly motivated Max is a problem for every strongman on earth
@@HattonStrength Absolutely! Was stoked when he podiumed World's a few years ago, hope he does similar this week. All strongman fans are constantly praying for Max and Mateusz to get just a few more deadlift points
I think Luke R was amazing in his last comp even with skipping the deadlift completely. Could imagine him doing very well here if he's in even reasonable form.
I think the show is Mitchs to lose other than that I have no idea. I like novikov, I think he's great, but its not been a great year for him. Like a couple of years ago he was never off the podium.
@@HattonStrength straight trash. youve already destroyed pretty much everyone that giants invites to every show. Literally the 3rd strongest man who almost guaranteed to podium for this show. And then not inviting one of the top US athletes to the only US show of the year is silly. It sucks, but always remember you beath Hafthor (who even Hooper believes was the strongest man to have ever lived). Gonna post a bitch fit on GL social media and hope they make it right next year cause youve got a good chance at podiuming at wsm (if they dont send your invite like 3 hours before the show), and I believe you will podium ohio arnolds. My bitching probably will fall into the void but itll make me feel a little better. I love the giants roster athletes but there are so many top tier US athletes that get ignored in favor of local althletes and one athlete who I wont shit on but almost never does more than 1 event per show even when he says he will, if he even decides to do even one event. Much strength brother, people will know your name when you break out at wsm and arnolds ohio
I don't think hooper really had the highest force on the tractor pull. Or at least we couldn't tell. In that lane the force gauge wasn't working properly. You could see on the force graphs, the one lane went up and down with each pull, as you'd expect. The other lane just went up and stayed up, suggesting a fault somewhere
@@FactoryStage yes he did, but Hooper was putting down more force per pull than anyone. Thor had the X factor of his height producing longer pulls. Thor is likely better overall, but Hooper has proved himself to be dangerous in any arm over arm event
Cheers for the kind words fellas 💜

Congratulations on your podium finish at SMOE
@@xxacidmv thank you! Excited to run it back next year
I came back and watched this again after the show. A post analysis comparing predictions with the actual results would be really neat!
Appreciate what you guys are doing. Post show analysis no one does and it's great viewing. Keep it up.
I really enjoy the insight from you two. Fun conversations.
I loved watching the energy you brought to SMOE. Giants is missing out.
Great show guys!
really wanted to see you invited to this show even if only as a guest for the log. Makes no sense you and Bobby aren't at the log lift championships

Great content guys, very informative. Lucas, hopefully get to meet over here at giants live in the future. I'm going hooper, Singleton, maxime top 3

Ey, it‘s the Honigkuchenpferd again, quickly becoming one of my favorite strongmen + youtube commentators! Gj mate, good to hear from you!
You should have been at the show!
Novikov needs a sincere break for a while. Mentally, physically, etc. he needs to get fit and healthy.
Mitch is favourite , however,2nd & 3rd are up for grabs.
I think Luke Richardson can get a 200kg log
Do you think Aivars belt falling off on the fingals fingers caused him to not complete the power stairs at SMOE? He definitely wasn't tired enough.
I thought Thor won the arm-over-arm at SMOE not Hooper. Not by much. But a win is a win.
He did, by about a foot I think?
Thor won
Thor won but hooper had the highest recorded peak force on the foot plate
@@cisrael468 I didn't discuss peak force just who won. And you validated it for me.

I think majority of the podium will be Canadians 😉
This aged like fine wine
Well if it isnt the third strongest man on earth.
13:22 are you talking about arm over arm at SMOE ? I thought Thor beat Hooper just barely by two feet ?
Yeah Thor beat Hooper, but I assume they just meant out of the guys at this show
