    I went out to do this today thinking it was going to be a 15-minute job. I quickly realized there was not enough clearance to get the coils out. That led to this video. While you were able to tear it down in 4-minutes, I'm looking at about an hour and a half start to finish, so I am going to put it off for today. Thanks for a great video though!

    Thank you very much for the vid. I just got finished changing the plugs and coil boots on my 2011 prius. The dealer wanted $300 to do it. I bought 4 plugs and 4 boots on rock auto for $63+ and two hours of my time having never change plugs on this type of vehicle before. The only thing I can suggest if I may is after replacing the plugs and boots, start the car and make sure engine runs right before putting everything else back together. Thanks man, you saved me money!!!

    • @medjoolmaker

      can you reuse the old boots? just replace plugs? 2013 Prius 90k miles, thanks whats involved in replacing boots?

    • @paulp5656
      @paulp5656 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@medjoolmaker I don't see why you couldn't reuse the boots as long as there is no obvious signs of damage, cracks, etc. But, they're so cheap to replace I say might as well change them since you're going that far. You have to pull them out in order to get to the plugs anyway. I'm going from memory, but it was very easy to replace them, when you do one cylinder you'll see how self-explanatory it really is. Good luck.

    Hey brother, thanks for the videos... if by any chance you happen to do a timing belt kit for 97 Mitsubishi Eclipse non-turbo automatic you'll be a life saver. When I start the car you can hear a loud screeching however as the engine warms up the sound lowers but when I put it in drive it almost goes away completely. Another piece of info is when I get my ear close to the middle of the engine I can faintly hear a ticking (similar to when removing a spark plug). Originally while purchasing the car the guy told me it's just a water pump but the thing is I don't hear anything coming from the timing cover side. Appreciate any feedback

      @@DuncanCunningham it doesnt take 25 years experience to remove bolts, lol. Ive done moderate mechanic work on my car like brakes, wheels hubs, shocks and such stuff that doesnt require major overhauling. and the two things I needed are the right tools and assembly diagram with torque values. If you are not a complete moron, you can work on your car and save thousands, I know I have and I keep building up more tools instead of blowing it on overpriced labor.
