So you just have to mount the tensioner withoout having to adjust the tension ? I did this and my belt is trying to slip inwards

You mount the tensioner. Put the belt on then you adjust the tensioner to be tight on the belt. Rotate the crank to see if it correct and all the timing marks line up.
