What's the plans for this build
Staying H series?
Yes. Want to see what the h22 does.
What did you zip tie it to? And did you have to drop anything or everything was left as is?
@NGlitchesFTW I zip tie it to the area where it screw on to the body. I lowered the heat shield a little so get my hand in. Anything else I would have to take off more things
Is it awkword with the tranny still atached??
What are the 2 hoses called. Need to get them for my car
The heater core hoses
My ac is stuck on, could this be the issue? Does not matter what mode im in and this is clicking
@4168kid like in the video you can test to see. But I would think your heater valve is broken. That's the valve that's in the engine bay going to the heatercore. To to see if those hose get hot.
Gonna do this on my TL soon
@AcuraSickness it's not a bad job. Just make sure to change the vtec solenoid gasket while your their.
That looks light, straighten the core support get used parts. It worth it
If you get rid of it ill take it
my dad and grandpa got a crashed 09 civic and i drive it now. it got totaled recently and now imma replace the driver side doors and it’ll look just fine. pretty fun finding parts in the junk yard
@@michaelvargas8656 yea got lucky finding parts that were the same color as the car.
Hi. Can you give me a hint? A message came up on the dashboard "emission System problem" I read errors p2096 and p2270 honda pilot 2017. Internet says similar problem although there is no extraneous sound. Can you tell me what could be the most common? And maybe the problem is that I poured injector cleaning fluid into the tank? How much is this estimated to cost at least roughly?! And I don't understand everything, I use a translator. Thank you.
the codes are saying the system is too lean. Try using high octane gas. if that does not work, you have to use a scan tool to see if the o2 sensor is working correctly or going bad.
@@AJIMPORTS Thank you very much. You've been very helpful. I will do as you wrote
Use a hitch hoist and a ratchet and straps and pull that front end back out thats what i did with my pontiac bent back like butter
Big possibility of some of those unimportant things you think are fine to repair have actually damaged the engine, I’d be worried about which way the engine faces and what modules have been pressed or affected, like the alternator and ac compressor.
Will be checking those parts out soon
@@AJIMPORTS make sure to also check the frame
Still running and driving is a big win for sure.
🔥
@@trundlepufpendants thanks, first time trying body work
Thanks! Helped me with 2007 Acura TSX.
Had P0430 and another code I forget on my 2017 Ridgeline. Replaced down stream O2 sensor on Bank 2, code came back. Took it to dealer, replaced fuel injectors. Code came back after 6 months, on and off. Waited too long to go back to dealer under work warranty. Replaced the UP stream O2 sensor last week. P0430 came back. Now thinking of doing this. Exciting!..
Just a FYI the aftermarket cats are not the best. If you can get a dealer one. Try to do that. Or get the o2 extender to put on the o2 sensor. That will help if they can fit
@@AJIMPORTS Thanks for the reply and suggestion. I'm holding off on the O2 extender simply because the light doesn't bother me as much (I was able to pass inspection this year) as I like to problem solve. I want to know what is wrong. I think it may have started with the faulty software for which Honda had a bulletin. That got patched, but I believe it caused the fuel injectors to misfire and it may have snowballed from there. I'm in the middle of attempting to do what you showed on the video. At this point I'm not getting enough leverage to loosen the bolts. Frustrating, but will try again tomorrow.
Just took out the Catalytic Converter. I was hoping I could find some shortcuts, so I wouldn't have to do all the work you did, but no, it ended up being exactly like you showed it... I can see the honeycomb and there's no obvious melting or damage, but a powdery residue is present on the upstream side of the Cat. More comes out with some knocking. I'll wash it and put it back in to see if it helps. Worst case, I'll have to do it again and buy a new Cat. Thanks for the great video. I wouldn't have done this without your help.
@pstrzel maybe you can look for a used cat or make sure you don't have a exhaust leak (wishful thinking). Hope washing it out and maybe spacing out the o2 sensor will help.
@@AJIMPORTS Mine looks exactly like the Dorman ones that sell for $475 in Autozone, which I can afford, except that mine seems to have a missing rubber gasket (I looked around thinking it just fell off, but no). I wonder if that was the reason for the code. Edit: I'm referring to the round gasket included with new Cats that I assume goes on the down stream end, but you don't seem to have one either, so... dunno.
Thank you for this video! So detailed

Did you refrigerant oil on the condenser?
@crunchytacosupreme9371 when the freon was added oil was placed in the system.
Those pins being stuck are definitely what caused the caliper to blow seals. Had to recently do my 08 accord rear pads and found my pins stuck. Damn car drove straight again after fixing it on both sides. So I’d recommend cleaning and greasing the pins if you don’t replace it too
Yea it was cleaned and I just replaced the bad caliper.
What turbo manifold is that on the f22a?
It's a speed factory manifold. They no longer make them
Very helpful 😊
I need to do this on mine! Mine is Rattling like a snake in there lol
Just did the other two mount front and rear car drives great but this job is a pain with out a lift
Thanks for sharing. About to do the same, it was nice to find a video for a basic walk through.
@@MrTeeAye if you have to change the master cylinder. It's easier to get the full line from rv6. The oem one is a pain to put back in
Zip tie mod to the rescue
yes, very helpful.
So was this TPS directly on the throttle body on the 04/05 accords? I have an 06 and when I hit 3k rpm I’m losing power. When I looked under the hood, I didn’t see the TPS on the throttle body but it looks like it’s on that piece w you took out. Even has the same breakaway bolts on it
That's the setup. The throttle body is electric and you can consider the tps as the sensor I replace in the video. Normally it will show a code if it's going bad. Did you do a tune-up check your plugs
Was the other side still low? If so it’s the spring the shock has zero to do with ride height. But nice
How do I knew this is the problem? My Ac/off and on. I was thinking this probobly cause the problem. I could be wrong it could be the buttons in the dashboard too.
@stripecatflippangitnamecha8721 most likely it's the actuator over the button. The button would feel weird when you press it. Like in the video you can test the actuator by removing it and manually turning the flap on the hvac door. That's the easiest test beside a scan tool
@@AJIMPORTS you might be right it's the actuator causing my buttons to turn off all the ligths, cause Everytime I kick that side it comes on. and it's hot rigth now.
It's only 3 screw to remove and you can run. The test. I recommend getting dealer unit. Tried aftermarket and had issues
Compared to other repair videos I’ve watched on various other things, this was one of the easiest to watch. Mic quality is good, camera work is fantastic, you get to the point with what you say and you say it with confidence. Overall the pace and quality is the best I’ve watched. Thank you!!
Not everyday you get a comment like this. Thank you very much for taking the time to watch the video and providing feedback. This help a lot.
How much power will this set up hold ??
Not sure. Some ppl running in the 500 plus with no issues.
Ironically, I'm doing the same thing on my accord CB7. Just waiting for the parts to come in.
You can get away with out fixing the bearing unless it's making noise
Until I got to the end of the video, I was thinking cmon man do you really think some aftermarket crap is gonna be a better design than the OEM honda mount. Then you pull out a solid steel bracket which is objectively much better and I can't see how it could possibly fail. It's true, OEM designs heavily consider cost over good design.
And best part, if you want to change the stiffness of the mount it's only 40 bucks. Currently using the 70 series mount and they are not bad. Been a few years and still no issue beside the oem transmission mount needs to be done next
These 3.0 accords are beasts. They do not make em like this anymore.
Very true. Plan to keep mine and do a 3.5 or 3.7 swap. But over all it's a good car with little to no issues
@AJIMPORTS 3.0 will probably outlast those. Id recommend get a Acura RL if u want a 3.7
Hello, I have the same P2138 code on my 2003 toyota tacoma and the same issues with the complete loss of power while driving. I tried to replace my Throttle position sensor and it turned the engine light off for a bit, I drove maybe 15 miles and everything felt great, no lag, good throttle response, then the same code came back and I lost power again. Any idea what else it could be? I've heard that when changing the TPS you may have to do a relearn procedure. I didn't know this at the time and just test drove the car immediately after slapping the new part in. When I clear the code with my scantool I can drive the truck fine, but it always comes back.
@brendentimothy5669 did you get a oem part to install. Some times the aftermarket not the best. Also the throttle body might be going bad. Have to check that it's opening fully along with the tps signal.
@@AJIMPORTS Yea it was my throttle body, I replaced it and the code went away, its been off for like 60+ miles now too, no more loss of power, seems like my issue has been fixed
Good to hear the issue is gone. That was a very dangerous issue to have. Mine happened during local driving.
What if i flushed the heater core chaged the valve and i can aee the actuators moving on boths side of my dual climate 2007 accord whats the next please dont tell me heater box
yep, if everything else around the system is working then the heater core box is the issue.
@@AJIMPORTS f.... thanks for quick reply Better save up now ....
1/4 drive ratchet with a 12m on it gets it out for both. Not completely for the lower but close enough your hand can do it.
Seeing the fluid spit taking the pulley off made me laugh 😆 don’t know how many times I’m like I got this and do the same shit lmao 😂
Yes everytime it's always a mess no matter how I try to keep the area clean. Always a leak
Move the can closer to the axle and make the tips longer. Really you want the single section in the middle and to be as long as possible, only splitting into duals at the axle, and then with two 3.5 by at least 12 long rolled edge tips.
Can't move the muffler back the rear subframe in the way. Just working with the space I have left. But might change the muffler. Still too loud for my liking
@@AJIMPORTS Can you fit a 5x11 cased muffler in the middle? If so, consider putting two of the smallest-bodied magnaflow mufflers with the built-in X-pipes in the middle (ahead of the rear subframe) then just running two pipes back to the 3.5x12 or longer rolled edge tips. Having two X-pipes should blend the sound almost as well as a Y-pipe and using two of the smallest cased packing style mufflers should get the volume bearable. Plus since you'll have two pipes coming off the muffler you won't have to do a split at the end where the tips are, AND you can then place the tips more easily wherever you want. TVR style (out each side behind the tires) would be cool to see, but dual centers are also fun, so up to you and whatever you wanna do. But definitely, the longer the actual tip (and having it rolled edge) seems to improve sound in my experience, and I say 3.5 dia mostly to keep the appearance reasonable and to make sure they fit in your cutout.
Same problem, but my actuator moves. Now I’m not sure what to check.
Check the valve on the heater core hose. Some time that's broken Internal and will cause the same issue
@@AJIMPORTS the heater control valve on the firewall?
@NinaBabyTV yes. I have seen those go bad. So when you manually turn the lever on top it does a 360. It should stop from side to side. But that's where I would start looking
@@AJIMPORTS I found it, but I did not move it manually. I used the controls and it moved from side to side. Even though it moves, both hoses are of equal temperature, is that normal when using ac?
@NinaBabyTV you have to take off the cable and move it manually. Because if the lever is broken I side. It will still move on the outside. When the ac is on. The valve blocks the coolant from going into the hvac. If the valve stuck or broken even with the ac on. It will still have hot coolant flowing inside the hvac.
Good video
She sound so good!!
Yea until I take it apart again lol.
Thank ya for the video. Nice
Hope it helped
Hi AJ. Waiting to get my compressor today. Just wanted to confirm that you removed the alternator?
No I took out the fan and left the alternator. I was able to pull it up slowly. Make sure not to damage the radiator when removing the compressor
you should mention not to over tighten the damn window screws or else you need a new window
Muchísimas gracias amigo
Awesome info thank you
brother do you still have this car? do you have a f22a6 throttle body by any chance i am in new york too
Still have the car. Don't have a throttle body.
Ugh have to fix my mother-in-laws car across the country this weekend for this. Do you think disconnecting the throttle cable before removing the mounting bolts would help avoid breaking that bolt? Literally can't deal with that while doing this job - thanks!
Spraying lots of wd40 and letting it sit is the best bet. You can jack up the car and try to clean the threads in the wheel well also. Since the bolt is exposed to the elements that's why mine snapped. Loosen and spray wd40 tighten and loosen again. Take it slow
Thanks for the video I used to rebuild these 10 years ago helped me remember how to disassemble…my transmission gears are gone lol shredded
This was my first one so it was not the best. But even I had to rewatch it to see how to put it back together lol.
Did you have to tune this. What all needs done i have the same car just redid head gasket at 279k lol.
