My 2014 Ford Focus Platinum's main motor mount was so bad when I changed it today it felt like a new car! I went from the whole inside cabin vibrating and shaking to touching the steering wheel and can't even tell the car is on. I was able to change my motor mount without removing the water coolant overflow tank. This is a super easy job and o ly takes like ten minutes! You'll need some deep sockets (18mm for the deep socket and 15mm for the other two that don't have to be deep and also a long extension to grab the head on the 15mm) and a jack to support the engine. I bought my car two years ago with the crazy vibrations and today I'm amazed that it's like a new car. Insanely quiet that I can hear one of my back wheel bearings have gone bad. From a vibrating mess to super smooth in ten mins. I paid like $60 with shipping and the place I bought min offered up a 5-year warranty for $5 for free replacements as I've heard this mount blows very quickly. Mine also came with the whole mounting bracket so I didn't have to bend the mount into place on the old bracket (much easier and safer).

@BrandonDrangel, when you said MAIN motor mount, does it mean it different from the one we just watched ? Is the main motor mount on the front passenger side same one in this video?

I changed mine before I’ve found this video. I had pulled up to my friends house and was talking with her when I turned to my car and noticed the whole bottom of my engine almost touching the ground at a solid 45 degree angle. The two bolts on the mount had stripped out completely from the aluminum block. Fixed it right there with the scissor jack in the trunk, a set of sockets, and a trip to orilleys 😂

I went from loud and tons of vibrations to nice and quiet and no vibrations..now I can hear problems in the suspension that I couldn’t hear before…literally took me 15 mins thanks for the video

at 3 mins 45 you cut the camera...then the thread is magically showing on the studs...im wondering if you tighten the nuts pulling up on the engine to pull the studs through.....or did you mean jack up a lil in order to push the bolts through the mount then tighten and torque?....im not being picky its just im about to fix myself.

Mine has what looks like an AC line over top the mount. With that thing in the way, it’s proving impossible to get the mount to sit so all the bolts line up correctly. Any tips?

if your coolant reservoir tabs are stuck you just need to get the front one undone. After that you’re free to pull the motor mount out of the vehicle without fully removing the expansion tank

Probably bad or check if the coolant reservoir isn’t leaking on it, the coolant reservoirs are known to crack
