Many thanks for solving the access to the transmission mounting. ( and the others🙂) I couldn’t see how to get to it. Nice, concise, time saving video. Cheers from UK.

ENGINE MOUNT- 2 lower bolts 59 ftlb 2 closest to engine (upper) 66 ftlb Trans Mount 4 outer bolts 59 ftlb Main center bolt 109 ft lb Lower Torque Mount All Bracket bolts (4) 59 ft lbs Main bolt Thru mount 92 ft lbs
From what I can recall, I don’t remember much of a need to support the engine while changing the torque strut mount. A jack may still be useful to relieve any slight shift. This can make it easier to thread the bolts in. Otherwise, you may be able to manage without a jack.
@@araparts Awesome - makes sense - thanks again, video is super helpful! (already did the main engine mount and was super easy ford focus 2014 and my car runs AMAZING now - hadn't realized how bad the shaking was (it was terrible) - just got used to it lol
@@Boomdustin I am looking to do this as well. Where did you get your parts or do you know the names of each so I know what to shop for? I know upper and lower engine mount and transmission mount, just wondering if they have more specific terms than that.
@@Zachbasanese Yeah, the video creator is selling them throug his site. Believe it's called "strut mount, engine mpount and transmission mount". You can buy them one by one or bundled on any parts store or Amazon too. I think I paid about $20-$30 each one by one (wasn't sure I'd do them all and ended up taking it on as I saw how easy it was). The engine mount by far had the biggest impact and was the easiest so I would start there if you're unsure. Transmission was the most involved but still got it done in a couple hours - wasn't that bad. Just make sure you have a jack under where the mount you're detaching is - mine shifted a bit and had to play with it a bit to get the holes lined up again. I saw in another video to undo the bolt a bit but not all the way and then adjust the jack so that it doesn't to make your life a little easier. Anyway, it's pretty easy - you'll be good. Good luck!
Thanks for the vote of confidence! I saw combo packs for under $75. OEM for all three is $165, with the smallest mount only $20. Any thoughts there on OEM vs cheaper?

Awesome video. Thank you for sharing.
Any real info about the torque need to be used on every and each of this bolts???
Have been busy, but will be getting them up soon. Will be circling back to this.
@araparts Any update on torque needed, was hoping to do this repair myself in the next few days.
59 ft lbs on the bolts to the engine, 35 ft lbs on the frame bolts
ENGINE MOUNT-
2 lower bolts 59 ftlb
2 closest to engine (upper) 66 ftlb
Trans Mount
4 outer bolts 59 ftlb
Main center bolt 109 ft lb
Lower Torque Mount
All Bracket bolts (4) 59 ft lbs
Main bolt Thru mount 92 ft lbs
@ZeljkoCrni I put all the specs for the 3 mounts there.
When you changed the other engine mount from under the car was the engine still jacked?
Only a little bit. You don’t have to necessarily jack the engine wayyy up far enough to stress the other mounts out. You’re just merely supporting it.
Great video thank you!
How was the transmission mount? Was it damaged?
Transmission mount was fine.
Does anything need to be supported by a jack when changing the strut mount or or is the jack just for the main engine and transmission mounts?
